Fantastic performance from the players. Result of the weekend. Playing down to bare bones then 10 men with 60 mins left against a team who will be top 4.. Pity fans werent in to show their appreciation of their effort.

Watched the game last night. Some interesting viewing. Thought the keeper was magnificent and looks to be a great piece of business defo kept the score down in the 2nd half. Graham Taylor and the Keeper was our best players by a mile. The new left back looks steady and comfy like the look of him. Few players you can tell are nowhere near match fit e.g mullen/Todd/Herd. We worked hard and had a good shape first half. Offered next to zero in the 2nd half in regards to attacking. The boy hamilton was anonymous and rents does his work too far from goal. Scoring goals will be our issue this season make no mistake. Tough couple of games for lads but look on it as building up their fitness because they will certainly be pushed with the teams they are playing soon. The squad is too light in numbers to try push for a promotion challenge nowhere near it actually but perhaps some loan signings or free agent signings to come in the future once we know more about fans coming back.

small as a centre half but reads the game really really well. Good on the ball and fairly quick. Actually better in the air than his height suggests. Better in a back 3 than a back 4 with him in a 3 central. Can play centre mid but I think he is lost in there but can play there.

THIS. The lads can play at a better level. Good move for them. Smith for me is the one of the 2 who could "make" it at hearts. Great energy/clever player/direct and for me Cowden were a far better team when he played. Arbroath with a good signing there.

In my opinion cut the season to 2 games against each team home and away. Include the cups. Not sure of financial repercussions for clubs who may rely on a certain amount of home games and obviously season ticket prices would be reduced. However seems starting October would mean difficulty in finishing a season playing every team 4 times. Considering weather will ensure postponements also. Or extend season from October to end June to enable 4 games a season against each team

Hi, After listening to talksport and their £15 5 a side team for premier league I have done a cowden one for players basically 90s- til now. Clearly missing LOADS OF QUALITY players but this is my list and game so if you dont like it tough haha. Pick a 5 a side team using 1 player from each position only. You cannot exceed £15. As said no one may like where I have put values on certain players but its a wee bit fun. Im sure fans of other clubs can make up their own teams. values and positions are below. My 5 aside team also at bottom. What is the state of play for Cowden in terms of players contracts. Do we have to pay them full wages considering they are not fulfilling the hours? Not that I dont want players paid however paying players and staff with no incoming monies for the foreseeable must be potentially disastrous. Hopefully the SPFL can forward one the payments due to all clubs earlier than 1st April.

WHITTTT.... Cove score 7 against Stirling and you want to go more ATTACKING considering we lost 3 against elgin.Cmon neeb.. We are a better team when we are solid at the back and dont open up. Granted we need to create more but of games I have seen we create enough chances. We scored 2 last night and in most games you should take something from the game.

Brechin have woeful full backs. They also have a class little player in mcord but its so easy to see he doesnt put a normal midfield graft in and you can get over ran easily in there. Up top your forwards are busy and have decent experience someone like greig spence would have been a good foil for someone like mcmanus. Your GK aint great either cost you a goal on saturday. Brechin will still struggle and for me its between you and Albion. I think you may just pip them in a last game shootout to see who finishes bottom.

Excellent home form. Something a couple of years ago looked a million miles away. We are a top 4 team no doubt and unfortunately for us Cove are in the league and a step above. Saturday the first 45 we were great. Good football and intensity. 2nd 45 we lost our shape big time and stopped doing all the basic things we do well. Good to see us sneak the win but over the piece a draw may have been fair. New lad done really well and was impressed with his composure on the ball and Archie Thomas looked at his best. Really good attacking central midfielder who makes good runs. Jordan allan looked well up for it on Saturday and put in a great first 45 and could have scored goal of the season if he didnt hit the post. another attacking player wouldnt go a miss but doubt that will happen.

Connelly isnt the same type of player or positional wise as smith. Doubt Connelly will get much game time unless an injury to allan. Archie thomas is our best ball playing central mid. Best technically as well. At moment he is just not in starting x1 im sure he will get back in and get a chance though. Good player.

good performance from Cowden saturday and the difference with having Allan up top for our overall play is so so different and better to watch. Allan worked his socks off and occupied 2 centre halfs all day creating space for others with his running. Connor Smith was superb and at 17 is going to be a big player in the future I believe. Big shout out to Jamie Pyper who has his critics but done really well on Saturday as well. Mikey Herd was superb as well.

Dougie was raging after the game lol. Basically got sent off for language used at a spectator who had been using explicit language towards him also.

Valentine at left back... uh oh. up top Allan with support from taylor and smith. Lot of pace there. Would get archie thomas back in team also.

My thoughts on this is basically. As fans we need to understand what we say about a player (any player of our own team) could be heard my family members. It could be something simple like f**k sake coxy youve been pish the day and the family member then will say something. If its really personal the comments e.g outwith football then this is wrong from the fan to do so. Its easy to get in a confrontation with a family member it genuinely wont be personal to David Cox. I think Cox hasnt been himself for weeks and said so previously to guys at games. Im going purely on football decisions now and he should have been dropped. Effort is always there with Cox and no one can say any different. I think opposing fans calling him names or poking fun at his issues is unfortunately to be expected and David has to kinda accept this will happen. HE SHOULD NOT have too but sadly its the case unless stewards/police at games hear something being shouted about his mental health issues or say comments like chuck yourself off the bridge maybe they can step in and chuck that person out. The club would have to notify our stewards to do so if they hear such things. The worst for me is players using it as a tool. Do they not realise that yes they gain an advantage in putting Cox off his game but with comments on the pitch from a fellow pro they are actually bringing further demons to David and his family. If you want to get at coxy do what normal people do nip um/stand on his foot at corners all the old tricks. Say he is pish etc etc but dont go down to a level of provoking him with mental scars the lad has. Its disgusting. (as is opposing fans shouts however that is society we live in im afraid) Cox should also learn that fans from cowden fc getting on his back 99% of the time is down to his footballing ability OR his failings in controlling his temper on the park. The club is right to back coxy and right to put it out in the press that future players saying comments should be put out in public domain. I think cox could have worded certain things better but you can tell he is a frustrated and frankly being pushed to his limits which wont be easy to deal with trust me. I sympathise with him and as someone said a 3 game ban may actually not be the worst thing for him. I think as a club we need to really push to try encourage David on the pitch and make him feel we are behind him even more so than we already have been.
