Genuinely disappoints me to see so many businesses and locals keen to get involved over 1 game. Totally understandable why this is the case but if we had the support of even 10% of the people/businesses for future seasons without the "big" games club is in a healthier positioin all round. Yeah I got a message from a friend of mine who is a rangers fan but in hospitality - bit gutted that I didnt see anything about hospitality - not sure if it was opened up to businesses prior to public knowledge I may be wrong so not starting a convo in regards to having a go at board or people who run it. Keep the young lad Allan if possible. Great energy and done more than enough to show he is worth getting signed up. Great worker for the team as well. More quality on the ball than say cox 2. Skelly away back. Muirhead will likely remain out on loan with current club or a new club. Martin Scott for me can move on - done ok and good experience however we already have 2 strikers with very little mobility a 3rd is just a no go. Connelly should go out on loan once he is actually ok to play football. Obviously a really serious injury so have to be careful with him and where he goes if he does go out on loan. A feeling we may let go Joe go out on loan or away permanent.... which is sad for me as I love his style of play and when he had a run of games he was great e.g 5 goals 5 games for us before the shoulder injury. He aint a sub type player he has to start games and when on it he can be a really good league 2 striker. Great lad and tough as nails as well. Gary Fraser defo starting to show he is better than when first with us. Match sharpness defo getting him there. Deas signed up means we have a great centre half pairing now with talbot and mullen. Solid back 5 with mcgurn. Swann doesnt get ahead of talbot for me but perhaps one place forward. I actually prefer him at left back coming on to the game with space rather than left mid where is more likely to be pressed and have little room to do what he does best. anyhow squad is good in terms of numbers. Quality wise we aint a top 3 team but more than capable of pushing on for 4th but sadly cant see it. Will stick with my original prediction at start of season 6th place.

To be fair it will have been printed in a way that doesnt do fotheringham service. The way he said it could have been a jokey way. To be fair he is telling the truth too... We have zero chance of winning. I like fotheringham anytime I have seen him or when in friendlies you can hear a bit more from sidelines and he seems a good coach and guy.

very lazy and off the ball doesnt do enough. Not bad on it. If he had workrate of say brad smith who also has decent quality at times he would start. Robbie been doing ok for us. Our squad aint bad in terms of numbers and competition.

Not sure. Doesnt look as quick as pyper but will surely be sharp if he is a full time footballer. But with scottish football who knows. My starting x1 would be mcgurn/mullen/talbot/pyper/deas then midfield of fraser/malcolm/brad smith and robbie buchanan with sheerin and cox Not a massive cox fan but renton and sheerin poor together. Sheerin and scott are ok very little pace though. New lad skelly aint seen him play so cant comment yet. maybe him and sheerin up top?

wasnt there so cant comment. Only positive is not losing. On paper that team had way too many changes in it. Talbot if fit should be a certain starter at left back. Pyper has to play because of his pace something our other centre halfs dont have. Brad Smith should always play and sheerin is our main striker and should play every game if fit.. Glad to see we have a new centre mid potentially on board. We have a big squad now no excuses this is Bollans team and if we were to finish say 2nd or 3rd bottom to me that is a massive underachievement. I stick by my prediction that we will finish 6th. A couple of wins is achievable easily in this league. City away at weekend is a toughie though. Take a point.

Biggest problem with sheerin out is its unlikely he will come back in and be as sharp as he is looking. He may come back and pick up where he left off but he is getting better game by game. His goals have been great for us and I was looking forward to seeing if he could continue on this great run of form. Such a shame. Time for renton to step in and grab some goals. Talbot back is a boost.

Im actually no surprised at this and I actually said on Saturday he wont stay long if on the bench. Its a lot of travelling (playing elgin this weekend) thats over 5-6 hours of travelling one way plus the game then home. Its a lot and one thing is for sure I dont have any issues with him (if it is him as dont know exactly whats happened) saying he wants to leave. He is kind of player who needs to play constantly as being on bench and coming on once in a while doesnt suit Bryan. He was a rock and a huge part of why we stayed up last season. In fact if it werent for him I dont think we would have. So cheers to Bryan who is a top lad as well. Gave his all for us and genuinely cares about the club and fans. Not sure we will replace him from a defensive aspect but it frees up a wage to potentially add in other areas. Centre mid please... Talbot any news how long he is away from being back?

Any news on sheerins injury e.g how long. If its a dislocated shoulder he would be out for 3 months I think...?

Our strongest team to me right now is this. Mcgurn talbot/gillfilan/pyper/mullen malcolm/miller/smith/buchanan scott and sheerin cox and renton big parts to play from the bench. We badly need another central midfield player. Marsh even though he is captain wouldnt make my team right now. Its between him and gilly for the position beside pyper.

Sheerin has been the bright spot in what has been so far a poor opening 3 games. The league cup campaign inspired confidence which is draining sadly. Our inability to defend well is costing us.I cant fault the players effort they buzzed about last night and put in a shift and have done so all season so far. First half I thought we were excellent to be honest and if a goalkeeping error hadnt occurred when it did I still think we would have won the game. The balance and confidence drained from us from that 1 mistake. We have good legs in the middle of the pitch but little ability to dictate the pace of we want the game to go. Harvey swann had a shocker unfortunately - scott looked good when he came on. Gonna be contraversial and say get gilfillan and pyper back together at heart of defence. Even though marsh has done ok the last 2 games he hasnt defended good enough. Scullion was a red card and did well last night apart from that. Pyper gives us pace at the back that the other centre halfs dont give us and its essential. Massive game Saturday in terms of getting a good positive result. ALL about the result and not the performance id settle for us being crap for 90 minutes instead of good for 45 mins/60 mins. Another defeat would see confidence drop even further. I am confident the players can turn it around.

Game tonight. Would be good to give a couple fringe players a chance. Would start scullion and start swann. Renton needs game time as doesnt look as sharp as he should so I would start him.

Only first game of the season against in my opinion the winners of the league should they not lose Goodwillie. 2nd half we were excellent. Agreed renton going off helped us. He doesnt look match sharp yet big renton. I think the 2 of them can play together at cp and berwick away for example. When the two of them play together we have to push our defence up really high and get our midfield pushed on to play for territory it can work. Boy made a good point about pace we have little of it apart from down the left side. Dont think there is any doubt Bollan will sign a young boy on loan for up top since muirhead now away. Not too downbeat as clyde were just better than us but 2nd half showed that if we press them and keep the ball with good movement we can hurt them and other teams. Saturday I would expect renton to be dropped and cox play up top or dropping in behind. Hopefully talbot injury not too bad he is a huge player for us.. Any news on that?

Bit harsh on Cox he has started much better this pre season already. His workrate is phenemonal. Harvey swanns is not. Cox is getting in the right areas to have these chances and will stick 1 or 2 away. Harvey is a better technical player no doubt but he lacks a work rate that is beneficial to the team. Cox closes off space well and wins possession back for us in key areas. Harvey great player to have on bench for coming on.

Happy with the performance last night. Caley in the forward areas were just too good for us and too quick. Overall the team battled well/played some good stuff and we scored 2 good goals. Malcolm was good again as was mullen/talbot. Brad Smith for me was our best player really growing into a great player for us. Sheerin is fast becoming a huge fans favourite not just for his goals but sheer workrate and presence. He is one hardy fcuker as well. The team is crying out for a new centre mid but we are well covered defensively now pat has signed. I wouldnt like Bollan to start playing Marsh or scullion in at centre mid to be honest. Fitness was good last night too. Renton may struggle to get in the team at this rate...

Well done to the cowden lads on saturday. Showed great fitness and in the 2nd half started to play to our strengths much better. Defensively really sound. Talbot looks class and mullen is really growing into a very good right back. Malcolm was superb. Badly lacking another central midfielder. The effort from the players was great to see and seems they react well when fans get behind them close to the pitch. Central must be a nightmare for that. We stood up to the physical presence of raith really well and in marsh we have a no nonsense defender who takes ball and man. (muzz will love him) Well done to bollan and staff. Organised and a threat great to see. One thing is for sure this season we will NOT be bottom of the league.

What ive learnt about the last 2 friendlies is that this team wont be any pushovers or slackers. Will work hard as fcuk and some real hardy characters and winners in that team now. Talbot is a quality signing so well done on that. Quick/Experienced/Hard in the challenge and good on the ball. With Gilfillan/Sheerin/Scott//Talbot/Cox and Mcgurn as well as Marsh - Decent experience and real leaders in the team. For me just lacking a central midfielder who can play a bit and be controlled on the ball. A harry paton type player. We are a decent lower league team now with a good mix of lads. I dont want to jinx anything but I can see us not having same issues as previous seasons. To cowden cowboy hope there is room in budget for sfa fines....... the amount of yellows and reds we could pick up haha. We took no prisoners last night in the challenges and great to see. Sick of our team being pushovers and being bounced about.

If Malcolm signs its a positive signing in that he can play a number of positions. I actually thought he did ok at right back for us. Left back he is poor. Middle of the park he is ok. I personally think he went wayyy down hill and his ability on the ball is really poor. A player who can get better though.

Heard we lost out on Ferns who went to Clyde. Maybe BS and a spose its irrelevant now as he went to clyde but hey ho.

Can I just add. We aint trying to be modelled on rangers. However it appears (could be wrong) that one man has his ideas on what looks like a good football kit. One mans opinion shouldnt mean its his way. For the future I would propose the board look at 2-3 options which are all same cost and put it out there or options into the club shop and can vote only in there thus potentially some people can buy merchandise whilst there.. If you dont go you dont get your vote
