  1. The teams become static from little or no competition for places, I think the curse of not bringing in new players to a title winning side is starting to rear it's ugly head. f**k knows what the boards ambitions are at the moment with what little activity the club has been involved in, and by that I mean linked to players at least.

I don't think the tactics the team are playing suits the players, they need to be more direct imo. Too much fannying about looking for that all incisive cutting pass, having possession is key but doing feck all with it other than pass it around the back and oppositions box for minutes isn't pretty. From the AEK I went to there were numerous occasions players could have tried to go to the by line to beat an AEK player but they played it safe. No c**t wanted to really counter attack when AEK lost possession in the Celtic half.

Something has to happen either injury free first team for months or more quality players coming to get them sure first team picks to play better.

It was pretty obvious to me that the guy tweeting was at the wind up and he wasn’t trying to hide it. Sanitary Towels in Lidl bags? You believed that to be a real attempt to post lies about Celtic?

He does it all the time.  Only the hard of thinking actually get taken in by it.  Understandable why the QC and his bus would be.

Aw!, was that all it was then? Just a bit of harmless jovial banter, my mistake. Here was me thinking it was some fanny deliberately trying hard to cause trouble by stirring up the Orc horde and I should just forget about all the other comments that read as hatred and bile from the Sevco mob like "No the 1st time wan o them touched up a boy", & "Hunt these mutant rhat b*****ds doon and out them" & "Somebody post their details online so we can all bombard the c**t wi everything".

Thanks guys, it all makes sense now.

Good Lord.  You're also running with the idea that my take on this is to do with Queens.

Some of us are capable of lifting our heads you know.

    It's just banter ffs.

Genuine question?, is there at any point where the coefficient would mean anything at all to you?  Would you be impressed if our clubs rose up the rankings near the top ten and got extra places?  Or would you revel in the dwindling coefficient so that we get less clubs competing in it and less chances of progressing getting the bigger teams early?

Jeez - I try to do a nice thing.

Anyway, I've no real interest in Queens making money from this.

I have a strong interest however, in our already wealthiest club(s) being denied absolute fortunes.  If you're going to attempt to parody my point, do so with that vital germ of truth.

Your contribution to this thread is just like your clubs contribution to the countries coefficient MT. Absolutely nothing. :)

Get over it mate, it was nearly ten years ago. :P

Although the crappy results from QoS that season may have had a contribution to being the death nail to Rangers FC.s epic failure to Maribor by lowering the coefficient to the level they might have got an easier club than Maribor if the coefficient was a fraction higher.

the folk that own Celtic must love the like of you like

Of course they do ya dopey c**t. Just like your clubs owners do when? do you actually go to Tynecastle? If not then I see why I'm not making an arse of myself in the Hearts thread posting to you "wheres your money gone?"

I accept there's been a lack of improvement the squad from last season. But it's a  double treble winning side ffs. The club has stopped buying loads of hopefuls in the off chance one comes good. I'm glad the club isn't buying just for the sake of it but it doesn't mean they have no money to spend, but the lack of transfer activity to even be linked to a player is a bit of a pisser but it's a team that should pump Hearts easy, on paper that is.

    No idea.

But you don't own your club.

The Rich people that own your club are probably happy.

    £££££

This might sound like a totally radical proposition. What if investors into football clubs see a return from the profits? I know man, fucking way out there that idea isn't it?

The transfer window ain't closed yet, so there's still time.

I see the Rangers* fans are making utter fools of themselves on Twitter again.

I was on the supporters bus last night and got shown that. Imagine changing your username on a social media site so you could post lies about your rivals but forgot your followers also seen your profile name change and outed him out as a Sevco supporter. The fucking idiot.

As well as ensure the correct distribution of money in UEFA's eyes, it's served to completely devalue the competition. It was never going to be on a par with the champions league, but it could still be seen as a worthwhile tournament in its own right.

Now it's just the consolation cup.

I think a re-introduction of the cup winners cup would be quite good. No group nonsense, straight knockout. It would at least be a hilarious mix of mega clubs along with wee diddy dross.

Yes, yes...  something about St Johnstone   :1eye

I'd rather there were only two competitions as they are. I'd have only the league champions in the Champions League and I'd include the winners of the national cups as they are champions in their own right. If failing that because the league champions did a league and cup double then an opportunity for the league cup winners. If the league winner done a domestic treble then they only get one club in the Champions League and ,I'd also  give a berth to the Europa League winners the season before if they aren't their own leagues winner, effectively only one league could have 3 clubs by merit.

I'd have the two runners of each country compete in the Europa League with no CL parachutes and that's that. It raises the competitions profile having far better teams competing in it.

Also it will relieve some fixture congestion caused by way way too many qualifiers and group games for current clubs getting shafted by UEFA. :thumbsdown

Good on Celtic fans for making a stand against the money driven dictatorship that is  U€£A, far more folk should speak out.

However, as MT says, it is as hypocritical as it gets;  I've never once heard a Celtic fan complain when they get to drop into the Europa league after they get knocked out of the champions league at the expense of nearly all the 140 or however many clubs that enter the EL at the qualifying stage, purely to ensure the money goes where it's meant to go.

If their club had any morality at all they'd refuse, and accept that once you're out of Europe, you're out.

Its the way Celtic fans expect fans of other Scottish clubs to agree with them over the champions league qualification carve up.. it shows a laughable lack of awareness.

That pisses me off as well. Once you get beat then surely you get papped out.

How many chances do CL clubs get before they actually get knocked out? 2,3 or 4 if you count getting 3rd in the CL group stages. Too many umbrellas imo.

If it means Calvin Miller can go out on loan Im all for it. Hopefully Tierney gets the odd rest too as hes played a rediculous amount of games for a young lad with injury problems in the past.

As for Mcginn I hoped we would sign him but clearly they didnt want to  fork out 4 million for a guy who currently wouldnt get in our team. I hoped they they would think of the bigger picture but c’est la vie. The hysteria by other fans on here over it is rather strange though. Our bids for a guy who could leave for nothing in less than year may not have been acceptable but certainly not derisory.

I personally haven't met too many Celtic supporters that are upset at not signing McGinn. A decent player with a future but sitting on the Celtic bench waiting for an opportunity can't be good for his development.

I'd be much happier if the club is being linked or making moves to improve the central defence with a proven CB although Compper was supposed to be the answer but has injury problems at the mo. He might even be like having a new player if he overcomes his injury problems soon.

I wouldn't be too upset if the club brought in a striker on loan we know is taking a huge wedge in wages as long as he can bang in the goals.

I think it's up to the board to WOW the support by actually showing some ambition and signing quality players.

17 individual games so far in this European campaign for the 4 Scottish teams, and no 90 minute defeats. 9 wins, 8 draws.

That will probably change next week with all 3 of Celtic, Hibs and Rangers playing away from home, but things have been collectively much better this season.

What's the coefficient total so far? 11, 11.5 or 12? Heading for the countries best total in years by the looks of it.

Naw MT, you have been constantly providing moandates. The coefficient might not matter to you but for me it is of much interest whether my club and the other Scottish clubs who qualify end up in seeded pots avoiding some of the more difficult clubs on the journey to the group stages.

What does the coefficient have to do with seeding?

Good point, you win. Was winding up MT about his whinging.

Apparently a full scale police investigation has been launched over a sandcastle supposedly being knocked down.

The police have just released a photo-fit of the suspected castle kicker. Described as having a penis shaped helmet for a head with a nose and grimaced mouth below it, sporting some really bad mid 80's fluffed up shoulder pads and wearing very tight padded leather trousers. As he kicked the castle he said with a speech impediment to the shit scared 3yr old "Serious bidness, kid." craphead.gif

Hes a Croatian International that was included in their original 32 man squad for the World Cup.

Because you have never heard of him really means absolutely nothing TBH

Can you confirm that it was you getting the shit kicked out of you by Croatian thugs at Edminston Road as seen in the video Bob? How did the emergency services manage to attach the mask back to your face and which face was it? NoB or Bob?

And FYI your club only ever has peddled the myth that they were "Scotland's most successful club" and not the world's most successful. I think you'll find the ASA outcome confirms this.
