  1. He may have gone bust but I'm sure I remember just before his Presidential companies got into difficulties he moved a lot of his assets into his wife's name.
  2. Can't be so short of money or even confidence for staying in the Championship since they've been offering young players full time contracts https://twitter.com/craigreid1875/status/727958671267921923
  3. People are entitled to do what they want with their own money. Doesn't mean she shouldn't be paid what she is due from the club whether she worked every shift going or not. Some people had a go at Massone for being dragged to court rather than pay people what the club owed them but this lot are just the same.
  4. I've been passing the time having a wee look back over the thread. Hard to believe it was more than 7 years ago. I wonder if any of the posters sticking up for Ged Nixon way back then have changed their minds and would admit I was correct? Is the "Trust" still going?

  6. Just because it's in the public domain doesn't mean it's stopped being a legal document though?
  7. If customers found out the painter, joiner or brickie working for them was out on bail for a vicious assault, I'm sure quite a few would cancel the job. Like it or not, footballers are looked on as heroes & role models by youngsters and it's not fitting to have someone like that at a football club who are looking for support in the local community. It wasn't like he was in the middle of his contract and it could be argued then that he had to be paid anyway but they gave him a new contract knowing there's a good chance he will be sent down after the appeal. Looks like Grant has shown the new board also have forked tongues.
  8. Exactly. And it's not a huge leap to take to see how this could also affect season ticket sales too. If a major sponsor finds it distasteful, how do families with young children feel about a club trying to appeal to the community for support when employing convicted thugs and drug dealers?
  9. Some papers making the link between Gallager signing and the sponsors chucking it.
  10. As the stadium is council owned, that would only benefit the council.
  11. "Energy Assets has honoured the existing agreement in full, and will continue to support the Livingston Youth Foundation, and the excellent work it does in our community." HTHBIDI
  12. I'm not really bothered to be honest. After so long of pissing into the wind you get fed up getting soaked I've lost interest to such a degree that I saw more Stirling Albion games last season than Livi's.
  13. AND180Y and theman are two different people. I think that's where you are going wrong in your argument.
  14. I can see a ball in the 2nd picture. Do I get a prize for spotting the ball?
  15. The annual accounts up to end June 2014 for both LFC & Livingston 5 have just been filed if anyone is interested.
  16. I think you mean "From Public Parks to Premier League". It wasn't written by Bill Hunter but covered those years. I think it's out of print now.
  17. Someone should tell him the Nitespot closed down at Almondvale. It's probably the only nightclub in the east of Scotland he hasn't been barred from...
  18. We're struggling to overcome the 5 point deduction. If we get any more points deducted we will be relegated even if we managed to get Messi in during January. That's if the worst case scenario we get is a points deduction.
  19. I agree with the Day Late Record comment, the point that I was making was that we are very likely to at least get another points deduction which will remove the chance of a 'dog-fight' to keep us in the division. That being the case, I don't see the point of trying to bring in new players in this window. Better waiting to see where we are in the summer.
  20. I fear there won't be a 'dog-fight' http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/end-livingston-scottish-football-association-4953541 Is this the end for Livingston? Scottish Football Association could pull the plug on the LionsTHE SFA last night insisted they could call time on Livingston after the West Lothian club were found guilty of breaking dual ownership regulations. An SFA Disciplinary Tribunal, who began hearing evidence back in October, have ruled that Livi principle shareholder Neil Rankine also holds an interest in League Two outfit East Fife. And the governing body have given him until April 10 to give up his stake in either Livingston or the Methil outfit. Should he refuse to do so the SFA, who have found the Lions guilty of breaching rules 1, 7,
21, and 86, could suspend
Livingston’s license. The severity of the punishment will be determined on whether Rankine relinquishes either shareholding. The Disciplinary Panel will reconvene on February 13 when it is expected that Livingston will give the SFA an update of
Rankine’s intentions. Rankine owns a 50 per cent shareholding in the West Lothian outfit’s parent company Livingston 5 Limited, which in turn controls 96 per cent of the club. Livingston FC shareholder Neil Rankine. And through majority East Fife shareholder Loraine
Johnston Twigg, the SFA have decided that he also holds an interest at the Fife outfit. An SFA statement read: “All breaches established. The panel have continued the hearing until February 13 pending further submissions from the club.” After finding Livingston guilty, the Scottish Professional
Football League are also duty-bound to carry out their own investigation into the matter. And it is thought privately the SPFL are concerned over the punishment that will be meted out by their Hampden counterparts. Suspending Livingston’s license would mean that they would be prevented from playing games of any kind although they would be allowed to appeal against any punishment. Rankine declined to comment on the matter yesterday but he maintains he is innocent of
any wrongdoing. The SFA recently dropped a charge relating to Dumbarton that was part of the initial Notice of Complaint that was issued last August. Rankine has admitted he is still due around £200,000 after selling Dumbarton in 2008 for £1.6 million. The verdict is the latest in a list of controversial problems. Livingston were hammered with a five-point penalty and £10,000 fine in November after defaulting on HMRC payments. Rankine has also previously warned that Livi could be forced into a third administration if former chief executive Ged Nixon is successful in suing the club for around £300,000.
