Ex Machina replied to Hank Scorpio's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
It's Euan Anderson. Done our 2-2 draw with Arbroath and 0-1 win over Partick. Don't think he did much of note in either game which is what you want to see. -

Rovers 🔵 ⚪️ v Pars ⚫️ ⚪️- 9th March
Ex Machina replied to Scary Bear's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
The man himself said he was offered 'life-changing money' to join them. At this level of Scottiah football, you can't begrudge someone for making a move for the money, they're not earning millions and I wish him no ill will. It does make their League 1 losses less surprising though. On the highlights, what a boy big Kev is. Excellent save, glad to see him put last Friday behind him. -

I used to live in West London and have a Brentford season ticket. If the Benham rumours are true, it would be a very exciting time to be a United fan. He literally saved Brentford from obscurity and transformed them into a Premier League club without spending ridiculous sums of money and making them a steady profit in player transfers. The chat within Brentford circles just now is that he is looking for some major investment to push the club on now rather than give up his entire stake, still uncertain if he'd look to give up his controlling stake in the club or not with the new investment. Obviously outside of Brentford, he's proved himself as a very capable owner of a football club with Midtjylland as well. On the Brighton owner also being interested, him and Benham apparently have a bit of a rivalry going back a number of years so it could be a case of looking to one-up each other. -

Not a great performance but luckily you don't need one when you face such a poorly managed bunch of diddies. Nice to finally win a league game by more than one goal this season. -

Despite shitting the bed yesterday, we're only a point behind still. This league is utterly batshit and I love it. Doesn't get much more entertaining than the Scottish Championship. -

New website looks great. I didn't mind the last one but it is now far more compatible with smartphones. I still mind the website before the last iteration - now that was outdated. -

On a positive note, our first clean sheet since December. -

Can't remember the last time I've seen a football club so rattled before a ball has even been kicked in a run of the mill league game. If Morton win this I can't help but feel there'll be an open-top bus celebration. -

1-0 Raith. Vaughan (P) after diving for the penalty and a taps aff celebration in front of the away end. -

That's fair enough, my memory was probably tinted by the scoreline. Don't remember much of the game itself outside of the goals and sending off - which is probably becau we didnt do much of note up until then. I'd still count a 3-0 loss as a battering regardless, especially against lower league opposition in a competitive game. -

My lasting memory of Ashcroft is the game we battered the Pars where Vaughan got his hattrick and Duggan got Ashcroft sent off in the process. Sure that was just an off day though as none of their players looked up to it. Done well at a team that won this division last season, and also seems to have done a decent job recently when called up last month in the league above. Happy enough with this signing, especially with Watson coming back that'll hopefully help us shore things up at the back. Not sure there's many better centre backs that would have been available to us. -

There's not any rules about the league they can move to, they just obviously can't be loaned to the Premiership as they don't have the extended loan window. For example, this month in the league below Joe McGlynn has gone on loan to Kelty from Hamilton. -

Must be triggering for a Pars fan to watch a player with a bit of fight given you're currently having to watch Joe Chalmers and Paul Allan masquerade as Championship level footballers each week right enough. -

Couldn't give the slightest f**k on how unlikeable we may be for other supporters this season. I fucking love this football club.

Don't see this being the last tour. Angus is so money driven that he's likely to drag the band to its 60th anniversary I reckon. Whether that's with or without Brian on vocals is another question.

This is also what I heard but a few weeks ago. Never mentioned anything at the time as I didn't want to be seen to be reacting at the first sign of bad form (and hoped it to be untrue). Hopefully look forward to looking back and laughing at #laptopgate at the end of the season as we re-find our form. -

I didn't hear specifics on players but a few weeks ago I was told by a mate who's connected to another club in our league that there was an incident where players found out (discovered rather than spoken to) who was being released/not offered a new contract in the summer and it caused some friction between management and the squad. Given Millen's out of contract in the summer, that would line up. -
Listened to 80 new releases this year so far (kept in a spreadsheet to keep track like the sad b*****d I am). With the caveat that my bias/preferences lean towards alternative rock kind of stuff, my top 10 so far is: Alkaline Trio - Blood, Hair and Eyeballs Casey - How To Disappear Afterglow - Inward The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy Eliza McLamb - Going Through It Ghost Atlas - Dust of the Human Shape Being As An Ocean - Death Can Wait Infant Island - Obsidian Wreath Moving Boxes - The Things We Leave Behind Sleater-Kinney - Little Rope Fairly enjoyed discovering new artists. Hope to continue throughout the year. Afterglow and Eliza McLamb being the two most enjoyable that I wasn't aware of prior to their albums this year - feel the latter could garner a decent following if she can get in front of the Phoebe Bridgers/boygenius crowd.
