Against my better judgement I clicked on that Daily Record article. It is utterly bizarre. There own (made up) rules say you get 5 points for each signing. Then they come to Kilmarnock and say since Killie have made 11 signings we are taking points of them since they let a lot of players go but Rangers who have signed 9 (not a huge amount less than 11) get their full quota of points despite also letting a lot of players go. I am away to wash my eyes out with bleach

This. A lot of posters on here will only have been to games in the all seated era. Before this, you went through a turnstyle into a narrow concourse with a few dark tunnels heading to the terraces, you had no idea how busy that pen was until you got into it. There were fences at either side and at the front to stop you getting on the pitch. You were literally penned in. If the pen you went into was too busy you had to come out the way you came and go in the next tunnel

Yes, made all the more worse by the fact it engulfed the school. Its a tragedy that seems to have been forgotten about. Grey partridges used to be very common but changes to farming practices have seen their numbers plummet. In the 80's I used to see them in the fields around my home all the time but it must be a decade since I last saw one. Its a sad story for our farmland birds. Yellowhammer's are the same, I don't know when i last saw one of them.

As you say they are native to Australia and don't occur in Britain naturally. Any you do see will be escapees from wildfowl collections.
