  1. 8 of the runs were scored in the 9th when the Mets had a position player pitching. The Braves were basically using him for batting practice The Braves also used a position player to pich the 9th for them. He didn't give up a run
  2. Correct. I was going to reply and say what a load of nonsense and then decided it wasn't even worth my time
  3. Why are Glenafton on 1 point when they beat Darvel
  4. Update on this. I was outbid but the winning bidder didn't meet the reserve price either. The seller has relisted the item with a starting price of £10 again
  5. Bid for an item on ebay. It has a starting price of £10 and a buy it now price of £70. I was the first bidder. Message comes up saying reserve price has not been met. So the seller has set a reserve price above the £10 starting price but the bidders can't see what it is. Nobody's got time for that shit. Just put the starting price at the minimum you want to sell it at and stop wasting my fucking time. Can't see how to block a seller either
  6. Not aware of Talbot having any moral high ground. Everything Talbot do is amplified to the nth degree here and becomes the worst thing ever. We haven't even mentioned Pollok's brawl for all at Irvine that got them banned from the Junior Cup or the fact that Beith and Kilbirnie couldn't be trusted to be trouble free that they had to play at Torygen To be absolutely clear if somebody was assaulted yesterday the person responsible should be banned from football and facing crimimal charges
  7. Not how I remember it and you version is clearly not true as Howie got a bad leg break playing for Pollok soon after and then left the club
  8. Yes. Wullie Howie attacked Colin Spence and Pollok took no action so get off their high horse
  9. Yes, you are right. I retract my earlier comments. You are also right that I won't be going though
  10. I am not saying they shouldn't be in it but there are some teams who have won a handful games in about 20 years. Maybe have another prelimanary round for them. Its not arrogance when its fact. IfTalbot don't win this very comfortably I will come on and apologise
  11. Were you at the 10-0 game. A bunch of young boys getting absolutely pumped. It did them no good and it did Talbot no good. I stand by what I said- a waste of a Saturday
  12. This will be th 4th time we have played them. 3 times away. The game at Beechwood was 10-0. A waste of a Saturday
  13. In the eyes of the law he is a rapist. A civil court is a court of law. He hasn't paid a penny. He declared bankruptcy to avoid paying her
  14. He is guilty. That is why anybody can call him a rapist without any fear of legal action
  15. Who cares about pre-season results. Its not as if the other so called big guns have being pulling up trees either- Clydebank drawing with Threave, Pollok losing to Huntly and Darvel losing to Thorniewood come to mind. In the old Junior days I remember Talbot losing to Kello (with no disrespect to Kello) at least twice in the League Cup before going on to win the Junior Cup later in the season both times
  16. Everybody I know who takes part in these are life's losers. There are no exceptions. The guy who used to stay two doors up from me was a member and took part in these things. At one of the parades he was at the front carrying a cushion with a crown on it. Imagine being a grown man and going in to work on Monday and when asked what you did at the weekend saying I played dress up and walked about with a cushion with a crown on it.
  17. Said that last season as well. How did that pan out
  18. I would prefer John McEnroe's. £205,000 for two weeks work. The guy was an arse when he played, retired in 2006 and has no relevance to todays gsme
  19. Is it just me who doesn't get the hype for the Home Run Derby. I just find it incredibly boring
  20. Its the "at will" law they have. Some of the reasons they have for firing people are wild. A guy posted on another site I am a member of that his boss asked him to work when he had booked annual leave. The annual leave was for his wedding. His boss said you can get married or have a job. The guy posted a picture of him on honeymoon. Of course "at will" works both ways and you can walk out at anytime with no notice. Some of the stories of people doing that and leaving their shitty employer up the creek are great
