It's the fact people on here constantly (rightly in my view) say they don't care if a manager is an p***k as long as he gets results, yet in the same breath didn't want Yogi cause they think he's a bit of a p***k. I have no doubt there was some bad feeling when he left us, but it was over a decade ago ffs. You sometimes have to just forgive. We were sitting in League One and Yogi offered to speak to us, and we took on M&M instead. Does anyone, in their heart of hearts, think Yogi would have overseen the powderpuff shite we've seen since? Would he honestly have done a worse job?

We've just witnessed one of the biggest arse collapses in recent Scottish footballing history which resulted in us finishing 5th in the Scottish third tier - our worst league finish in 43 years - and very few people at the management level of the club seem to be taking any responsibility or even considering their own positions in light of this. I think people having a wee moan on an online forum is pretty well-justified.

Also, why are we approaching Neil McCann when folk were saying Stuart Taylor and Peter Grant were a certainty? Also also, as said before, 'rigorous interview process with applicants' ≠ asking folk who are going to turn you down. I genuinely wouldn't trust this bunch to microwave my dinner, nevermind pick a manager.

Yeah, my only genuine hope from the silence is that there is some major changes already taking place behind the scenes. I won't hold my breath though.

A number of the timings could have been better, but none of the decisions were wrong. McKinnon should have gone after relegation - he got us up to 8th in the Championship with weeks to go and absolutely shat the bed and we went down. M&M should obviously never have been given the gig in the first place, but that disgusting performance at Starks should have been the end. Bad timings yes, but no wrong decisions in the end.

He was on Sportsound pretty much daily when they gave him a platform to moan about Covid.

He won League Two with Albion Rovers in his first year in management and appears to have done (not an expert so anyone can correct me if I'm chatting shite) a steady if unremarkable job at East Fife. He's been a manager since 2014 so has experience despite being still young. I reckon the thinking behind him would be he's a young manager who would hopefully be hungry and have something to prove when moving to a full-time club. This is not me saying I want him, by the way. Just trying to muse the thinking behind it.

I was talking with a pal last night about who I'd keep and who I'd punt from this squad (it was much more towards the latter) and I genuinely forgot about Robbie Leitch existing. Just about sums it up.

If we're talking small steps, a release list and Holt getting the boot before the day is out would be a very small but welcome one.

Distinct lack of 9am release list this morning. Disappointed but not surprised.

While other fans are in here (quite rightly and understandably) ripping the absolute piss out of our mob, I don't want to see any apologetic or happy clapper pish from any of our lot on here ("u CaN'T bLaMe HoLT" etc etc) . We need to talk about how we are going to cause real change at the club, whether that is not buying season tickets or whatever else we can. Far too many of our fans have bought into this shite whilst sitting on their hands for far too long, whilst the club has been in steady decline for over a decade. A good start would be every single player (perhaps bar 1 or 2) on a "mutual consent" list at 9am tomorrow, with Holt's name at the bottom, too. It won't happen though.
