Ah, how i'm going to miss this thread.....I head off for my holidays tonight safe in the knowledge that Sevco Scotland will start the season in Division 3 of the SFL and that I have the Dundee derby to look forward to in the season ahead. I can now head off to relax without expecting any real nasty surprises and anything else that happens is likely to be the same as finding loose chips in the bag when you finish your McDonalds......just a little unexpected bonus. However, I am hoping to collect my 'No to Newco' T-shirt from the cheap T shirt shop before I go. It's not for me, it's for the missus. She has no idea what it means, but I figured even the most seething of orcs fuelled up on sangria and cheap local vodka from the all inclusive bar is unlikely to punch someone else's wife, so playing the safety card on this one....both ways. If the SFA try to turn round an spl2 I under two weeks imagine the chaos they would cause to sfl fixtures and the clubs who would agree to spl2 would also have to give notice of resignation. They had four months to sort this mess out, no chance of that in the timeframe available without then incurring the possibilities of legal challenges internally from the sfl versus the sol and SFA and possibly even CAS challenges with FIFA involvement. The fact the diddies are enjoying watching Rangers go tits up first is down to the attitude of the Rangers previous boards and fans from the moment Souness walked through the door. It started then with the 'we're better than you' crap when for years before you'd been just another also ran in a reasonably competitive league structure. When the money rolled in, you and thousands of other Rangers fans enjoyed lording it over everyone else. When it started to go wrong, the siege mentality that still exists at Ibrox, one you happily sang about - no one likes us, we don't care - came to the fore and hence we're all happy to sit and watch that attitude be the most significant factor in the downfall of your club. Careful now, we all know how much the lads on RM & FF like to imply that the other cheeks is obsessed with boys football......you could be labelled a tarrier Then again, you might become chief scout as you are woefully short of pace at the back with only Bocanegra and Broadfoot as cover.

Also, we got our new bus driver today for the tour, with an American band on Independence Day. Double the fun as the driver is called Billy and a Rangers fan........cue the trolling!! Cheers mate, thats pretty much what I managed to glean from the info on the reading so far since I miss a bunch, that the SPL are now trying to blackmail the SFL if the document is to be believed, which should only serve to reinforce the fortitude of SFL chairmen who knew the SPL was a leveraged corrupt money grabbing self interest serving piece of crap aimed at the bigger sides and the OF in general. Good post, duly greenied!

Ok, so if I get this right, the SFL have sent a letter to clubs that says the SPL are kinda threatening them, but at the same time the SFL are trying to leverage it, while STV are spinning a great yarn and Regan has fucked off on holiday to avoid any fallout? So apart from the letter, nothing has changed. It still falls to the supporters of SFL clubs to pressure their chairmen into making the right choice and call the SPL /SFA bluff on this and the proposed SPL2 bullshit, right? And the SFL supporters need to do so in the knowledge that us SPL fans have already won our victory and will support them in this matter. Or am I over-simplifying it again......?

Been out all day and just about to go out again, but I just had to reply to this one........... Is that you Doddsy? Are you still seething? I mean, it's obvious you were no brain surgeon yourself, even after typing out a reasonably eloquent rant with all the pain and hurt of a Rangers fan who has finally accepted that no amount of twisting and turning in the box is going to get you a metaphorical last minute penalty to save your skin this time around. That I find your post one of the most pleasing moments of this whole saga is something I will cherish for a long long time. A post like yours manages to sum up perfectly why we 'rent a mob' supporters were only too glad to stand up and wipe the soles of our shoes clean this time around. This has been a long time coming and yes, some of the groundswell of opinion has been through pure and utter hatred of Rangers. And most of it with damn good cause. From the sectarian sewer you were happy to dwell in for all those years, to the financial doping I cannot think of one single reason to respect Rangers in any way, shape or fashion. I'm on a day off in Luxembourg. What a glorious day. I'm in a tax haven, on a day off, with a bunch of English guys still gutted from last night and watching P&B as the entire SPL jettisons the waste product into oblivion. Truly the day to top all days. If only it wasn't a tenner a beer I'd be off out to celebrate!

Personally, and that's the first clue, here's what I would have put in that letter to keep it short and to the point that the Killie chairmen was making....... Dear Kilmarnock Supporter, It has been noted over the past few months that there are two sides to the argument concerning this dilemma facing chairmen of SPL clubs. On one hand we have financial prudence and the obvious choices to be made concerning revenue streams. On the other, we have sporting integrity. I now offer you a simple straightforward choice in the matter of 'sporting integrity does not have a price' For me, it does. £1. That's right folks, for the price of a dead football club, you can have your sporting integrity and keep your club alive. Now I know these figures might not stack up for some, but like a scrotum here it is in a nutshell. If we can attract 8000 people per home game paying £1 extra each times 22 home games = £176,000 So we've halved the amount of losses through the turnstiles from the visits of Club 12 fans right away, good job everyone. So really, all that remains is the as yet unquantifiable losses on any renegotiations of sponsorships and television deals. Yes, I know, it seems almost unbelievable that I'm asking you to vote on something you don't have the full facts on and yes, I know that that bears a striking similarity to the CVA proposed to Club 12 creditors a few weeks ago. But trust me, we need to do what's right for Kilmarnock and just ignore all these other diddies who think this is all about the sport. In that respect, I suppose it really is down to me as the chairman and I have to make the decision I think is best in the long run for this club. And for me, its all about the money.
