  1. It looks more like manc than black but I'm no expert.. If it isn't"deemed" racist I imagine this collection of mouth breathing goons will be paraded in front of a tv camera to explain that they got caught up in the passion of it all and they actually have lots of black friends.....maybe even some mancunian ones.
  2. Bohemian Rhapsody(cinema) Finally got round to seeing it and glad I did, great movie ,critics got it wrong which is pleasing, a few flaws ,some of the script involving the other band members was a touch ropey at times and cant really understand why they played about with the facts of the story so much, first performance on totp for example, didnt really matter I suppose but why do the wrong song? But there are some jaw droppingly great stuff in this movie, when they discover We WillRock You and of course the Live Aid bit is incredible. Great turn by Mike Myers too. 9/10
  3. Den of Thieves(Netflix) Watchable, but Gerard Butler is very shite in it,plays the most annoying cop in the entire world.4/10
  4. I think the original 2 did say during the trial that it was hard to believe that 2 men of limited intelligence, could clean the trailer and garage to such an extent that a police forensics team couldn't find a single trace of DNA in it .
  5. Watched this on sky last night , outstanding performances from the leads, Fully agree to put humour into this and to make it work was genius. 9/10
  6. Completely agree with S2 being shorter, there just wasn't enough there for 10 episodes, only so many times you can watch a long drawn out shot of a member of the Avery/Dassey family look upset before you start losing interest. Zelnner is tv gold right enough, got stuck into the 2 from the first series rightly. Never really understood how those 2 ended up being seen as heroes with people clambering to see them tour etc...at the end of the day they lost and as Zellner has pointed out with more attention to forensic experts and so on , it was a perfectly winnable case.
  7. They have that hugely likeable thing about them too which will give them the edge over stronger dancers like Faye and Ashley.
  8. The family deal on spotify is brilliant, 5 accounts for £15.99.
  9. Channell 5 might have a crack at it, or possibly Dave. Either way as a tv event it's at best on last legs which is a shame, still a great event.
  10. Its a brave enough idea but its the kind of thing that needs some artistic license...very few films about a real event are completely factual because the interesting thing is over in about a minute.
  11. Starman by Bowie.... ive been singing it all day,the only reason I can think of is someone mentioned the krankies the other day on a podcast and that version they did of it has made the original pop in my head.
  12. The Odd Couple(Sky) Pretty much a masterclass in comedy,no matter how many times you see it there's more to admire, if they made it now it'd be a gross out movie of sorts or have a race angle, this is just pure performance.10/10 Now you see me 2(ch4) A bit shite, reminds me how annoying I found the characters in the first one. 2/10
  13. Dreadful match right enough, as AFJ mentioned croed was awful, remember the days of 12,000 att. ticket matches for those 2 ffs.
  14. Watched the new football quiz show on itv 4 earlier....absoloute dogshite of a programme,
  15. Funny feeling that stacey dooley may be a dark horse ,I think shes the type that'll improve each week,
  16. All the money in the world(sky) Great performances but doesn't keep you engaged the way it should, Plummer is excellent in the role of the truly vile John Paul Getty and Mark Whalberg was terrific but it kind of plods in places and I dont think they made the most of the era the events happened in, Still ok though 6/10
  17. Not a classic at the oval by any means by all reports but it was the type of game the glens would have drawn the last couple of years so progress. I think glenavon can go top tonight as linfield aren't playing
  18. It was probably overused in it as well but given the film was about slaverythen at least there was a certain context to the use of the word, for me this was about a lack of ideas for H8 ,shock for shocks sake...still a decent enough film .
  19. Hateful Eight (Netflix) Not the strongest of Tarantino flicks but not bad, Kurt Russell and co. Give some great performances but the overuse of the N word for the blatant shock factor and a fairly limp story lets it downa bit. 6/10 Debt Collectors ( Netflix) Just endless fight scenes with no storyline and shite banter . 2/10
  20. Sheer fuckwittery of the highest order , in fairness cliftonville have completley condemned it .
  21. Ace in the Hole (sky) Kirk Douglas plays an alpha male big time reporter in Albuquerque who contrives a major story to get his career back on track. Pretty good Sunday afternoon flick.7/10
