I gave up on that book, thought he came across as a complete w****r in it. Took credit for everything and blame for nothing.
The bit that stands out most was when he was helping coach a local special needs team in America and went to the chairman to tell him he was chucking it as the bairns weren't playing how he wanted them to.Aye not the nicest of men it has to be said, I think the fact he wasn't partially liked in general is fairly well known...most of the praise for him when he died tended to revolve around his ability as opposed to his personality which is a tell tale sign...

The Hitmans wife's bodyguard
a couple of hours of nonsense , Ryan Reynolds does his thing, Samuel Jackson does his thing and Salma Hayek gives a mad OTT performance...it's OK, not as good as the first one.

Makes you wonder of he's a really good player or Larne have a bit too much cash...either way nice to see that kind of money be spent in the IL and go to a local team.

At no point was Boyle good enough for Scotland while McLeish was in charge. The whole “most improved player” argument kind of supports he wasn’t at that level back then. Even now, I doubt he’d be in the starting lineup.
Boyle is the type of player that would have got a call up for a friendly or something.

Jaws is a monster movie similar to Alien or Predator. As such there is always the issue of a convincing monster or not. I can think of several films that went downhill when the monster appears - possibly most.
However the alien crab crawl scene was thankfully cut from Alien. Jean Claude Van Damne was thankfully not the Predator. Jaws benefitted from shark problems reducing the screen time for the shark and the music being an excellent substitute.
Suggesting the shark looked fake is an easy excuse. Guess what. It was.
Definitely an excellent film 10/10.
To quote Mark Kermode...Jaws is not a film about a shark , it's a film with a shark in it, the characters in the film is what makes it such a great watch .
Brilliant performances by the 3 lead characters

Yeah he is a very “runs a lot” midfielder to be fair
A sort of shit Ngolo Kante has always been my assessment of him.

Summary of the Irish Cup - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59909618
Newry City win at Warrenpoint Town
Portstewart win at the Brandywell against Institute
Queen's leave their league woes behind, beating Newington 2-0
Dungannon negotiate a tricky trip to Knockbreda, winning 2-0
Glens survive a late scare in Castlederg, Carrick see off the Comrades and Portadown beat Limavady, 2-0
Newry beating Warrenpoint is probably the biggest shock there.

Was wondering how folk consume books and how many you have on the go at once?
I've usually got four on the go at any one time.
1. Audiobook that my wife and I listen to on our shared commute.
2. Audiobook for when I'm in the car on my own.
3. Physical book for reading before bed.
4. Kindle app on my phone for before work and if I'm super quiet at work.
I know this seems like a lot, but it works for me.
Being an old fashioned kind of lad then it's always an actual book for me , I just think it's the most comfortable way to read ,

The Glens survive a scare against Dergview thankfully, fair play to them though, never gave in by all accounts.

I can see Sherrock getting a Premier League gig, she'll give it the extra interest no matter how she plays, the reality is she's a bigger name in darts than many of the men.

I’m going to say the under armor app is more accurate. I base that on switching from Strava to using the Garmin watch I bought earlier this year and everything being 30 seconds to a minute slower almost instantly.

I think Strava isnt bad in fairness, I've got a TomTom sports watch but every now and then forget to charge it so use the app instead ,not had too many issues and pretty accurate, haven't used Strava much for longer runs right enough

Going to purchase a pair of running shoes tonight. Where should I be buying? Who are the brands to avoid? etc. Would appreciate any recommendations.
If you're getting them online then sportshoes.com are pretty good.

A wee shock yesterday with Larne losing to Ballymena, Davie Jeffrey cheered once again by the bluemen .

There’s still half of the season to go, is it really beyond the realms of possibility for Celtic to win their 3 games in hand and both remaining OF games to level the series this season between the two sides? On yesterday’s showing perhaps not.
Yes, Rangers would also need to drop points but a four point gap wouldn’t look so daunting and certainly not insurmountable.
As for the game itself Rangers weathered the storm in the first half yesterday, but regained composure in the 2nd. Most neutrals I believe would just have easily have accepted a yellow for Bitton as they did the sending off. Celtic seemed to be running out of ideas by then anyway. As mentioned above, as soon as Lennon pulled Griffiths and Turnbull the game was up. Brown brings his nuisance value these days that is all, Duffy is absolutely hopeless, surely a sigh of quiet satisfaction from most Rangers supporters to see em both coming onto the park.
Rangers didn’t fire up yesterday, but did enough, like all decent sides to grind out a result, albeit against 10 men for the final third of the game. SG says that Rangers will ignore any ‘title noise’ at this stage, he know’s the score, there’s still a long way to go.Celtic winning every single game between now and the end of the season isnt impossible but very unlikely, I actually think it may go the other way and you could see them having a collapse between now and the end ,

I am listening to Sportsound and both Michael Stewart and Tom Anguish thought it was marginal.
I'd say it's a red all day long.
I'd say it was a red as much as anything for the sheer stupidity of the challenge

First run today since 27th December , Bangor Parkrun , plodded round chatting to a mate so 28 minutes, happy enough .
Most if not all parkruns across Ireland had a minutes silence at the start in memory of Ashling Murphy, a young woman murdered whilst out running in a village in Co.Offaly, dreadful tragedy.
