  1. Surely any attempt to shoehorn the new 5th division would need all league clubs to vote for it? If so, I’m sure St Mirren will vote against
  2. This is yet another in a long line of dreadful games. Defenders earning millions who can’t defend. Midfielders and forwards who pass the ball backwards every time they get the ball. Best league on the world, my a**e!
  3. No one else going to congratulate Spartans? Where are their supporters on here? Well done and good luck in the playoffs
  4. And therein lies the problem. A man with no principles whatsoever.
  5. Where to begin with this nonsense! Has to be a wind up? I’ll take this at face value and give you the benefit of the doubt. Please explain what is to be gained by non Scottish youngsters playing against part time players in the 5th tier? I could understand if the B Teams were playing against full time professionals in the 2nd or 3rd tier, in that it might help with hardening them up. However, no self respecting club would voluntarily want this for numerous reasons. There is absolutely NO value to the pyramid with B Teams.
  6. He’s got to be a Tory plant surely. Absolutely staggering that he has taken a social Democratic Party which young Europe supporting voters flocked to after the Brexit shambles and has turned the once great party into a pale imitation of Johnson’s Tories. Nothing he utters surprises me anymore either
  7. So where are we at regarding this drivel? Have the LL agreed to another year of B Teams or not? Has the absurd tier 5 Conference been buried or not?
  8. Perhaps the solution is to give Sky, BT et al exactly what they want. All 10 of the non bigots agree to play their under 8 sides against the cheeks. Goalfests every week and the only games that count are against each other. Celtic win the league with a plus 300 goal difference.
  9. Ok thanks for that. Look at League 1 this year. It contains some big clubs in Dunfermline, Falkirk, Airdrie and QOS. On what planet would clubs like these benefit from playing colt teams every other week? Would it increase attendances. Absolutely not as fans would boycott these games. There is no upside to this for Scottish football
  10. This is beyond parody now. So these Colt sides would presumably be able to play in both national cup competitions? Celtic Colts vs Celtic in The Scottish Cup? Live on Sky coz that’s what the public want? Get this idea in the sea immediately
  11. Indeed. What about Newco RIFC 2012?
  12. As to the red card. Is that a clear goal scoring opportunity? I don’t think Kyogo was getting to the ball before Carson anyway?
  13. Shoehorning Women’s football into every programme and pretending that the presenter is a huge fan. Sky are particularly infuriating for this. During the transfer window the ticker tape showed women’s teams bidding for players etc without stating they were women’s teams! Also, I enjoy A View From The Terrace, but come on lads, stop talking every week about The SWPL, no one cares. Why not have a spin off show dedicated to women’s football?
  14. Haha. He only has 3 other jobs, so it could be
  15. Independence is not about who leads the SNP. The reality is that the young are overwhelmingly in support of this as a principle. With each passing year, that goal is closer to reality. The right wing press, fawning Royalists, The BBC et al, have no appeal to young Scots. Nicola Sturgeon has been the stand out politician of the last 10 years on these islands and the vitriolic hatred she endured only proves the point.
  16. Absolutely this. All these Union Jack waving morons celebrating the news are just shown up for the halfwits they are. Independence is inevitable in the medium term, whoever is leader of the SNP. The alternative in the rancid cesspit of the U.K. is not an option for my children and grandchildren
  17. The BBC cannot even try to hide their glee over this ffs,
  18. All in all, a typical game against either of the bigots. What the MSM never highlights is the fact that, when playing either of them, every tackle made by the opposition is likely to be a booking. Today there were 8 fouls by Celtic players, leading to no bookings. 10 by St Mirren, 1 booking and a straight red. Always the same. as for the game, no complaints about the result, but remember VAR will lead to more even handedness in Scottish football
  19. It’s back on I see. Always seemed inevitable that this would happen some day. It was never going away
  20. Yes that does seem on the face of it. However, Wishaw, Bellshill, Carfin, Newarthill, Cleland, Newmains, Carluke and Lanark are all close by, so the percentage is skewed
