Over the last few weeks VAR has got involved in decisions that are marginal at best. It is supposed to get involved for clear and obvious errors. Livingston were on the receiving end of what should have been an overturned penalty against Rangers, which VAR chose to ignore the blatant dive by the wee NI player. Decisions have not improved with VAR, so bin it.

I think that this is the first time I’ve ever watched the Sky build up to a game. Good grief! The awed tones when speaking to players/managers is cringy. The commentary throughout the first half is so embarrassingly deferential similar to royal events. Give me Friday night Scottish games every time

Flew to America a few months ago. 9 hours without a cigarette, so was easily annoyed. The flight was made to sit on the tarmac for about 15 minutes before parking. The pilot tannoyed a message to apologise for the delay but we would deplane shortly. Ffs

I remember a similar situation prior to Tony Blair’s first term. Labour swept to power after what seemed like decades of Tory misrule. There was genuine excitement at the prospect of a new government, elected on a mandate of what today would be regarded as radical change. I sense no such excitement about this Labour Government in waiting. They will undoubtedly win a huge mandate, but please name me ONE policy that Starmer can trumpet as a major change in direction from this shower that are in Downing Street today.

However, what is the point of being elected at any cost, with no discernible policy differences from the present government. New Boss, same as the old boss. From a Scottish point of view, the eventual breakaway Super League will help us. Only the most brain dead Celtgers fans could believe that either of them would be invited to join. Therefore the huge financial gap caused in no small measure by UEFA money would diminish over time. Both would still be miles ahead of the rest financially but the gap would undoubtedly reduce over time

On my day off, Mrs CB likes a cooked breakfast. I get up, shower, shave, get dressed etc. She is still in bed scrolling through inane social media drivel. Tell her that I’m making the breakfast and it’ll be ready I half an hour. 27 minutes later, I hear her head for the shower. Finished my breakfast and she’s started on the make up and hair. Unfortunately it’s here to stay. I agree with most of the above. Part of the joy of football was always the debates over referees and linesmen decisions. Human error is an integral part of the game, both players and officials. Now technology is sucking the joy out of it. Long delays after every goal and they still don’t get them all right. I love watching the Friday night live games from the lower leagues, both here and down south. Much better entertainment because of no VAR.

Struggling to feel any sympathy for Celtgers in Europe. Their problem is easy to see. Everything about both clubs is short termism. Of course they will never compete with the mega rich clubs in England, Spain etc, but rather than accept this and plan for the future, both are driven with their all consuming need to beat the other. much is made of countries like Holland. Clubs there produce an assembly line of quality players, who they sell on and reinvest in the next batch to replace them. Here, the big two buy 2nd rate journeymen to try and attain short term lead over the other. Other than Calum McGregor, Kieran Tierney at Celtic and Nathan Paterson at Ibrox, what happens to the hundreds of kids that have gone through both academies in the last decade?

I wasn’t having a go at you Bennett. You are by far the most reasonable The Rangers fan on here. I know plenty of season ticket holders at Ibrox and some of them are also pretty reasonable. However some of the names the others are bandying about are ridiculous in the extreme. Arteta, Bielsa, Gerrard etc. Cloud cuckoo land.

Far be it from me to try to understand the minds of The Rangers supporters or board, but maybe Kincardine or Bennett can explain. Your cross city business partners are bigger, wealthier and the gap between the two is growing every year. What do you realistically expect to achieve, given the above? You may be much wealthier than Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs, but what makes you think that you have a right to win every game outwith the new Glasgow derby? Like every other top flight club, you can hope to win the odd cup, but the league is sewn up for the foreseeable future. Surely you all realise this?
