  1. You are miles better than Falkirk. They caught us on a day when we had nothing in the tank, and although they spanked us in the first half, they ran out of ideas, and were generally very predictable. We just couldn't cope on that night. I enjoyed watching Accies today, played football the right way, and had a good few different ways of getting through us. I hope you guys win the league.
  2. Great attitude from the team again to come back from a seemingly hopeless position. Albion teams in the past would have absolutely wilted after the first goal, never mind going 2-0 down, but not this lot. Terrific drama at the end, and an excellent game of football overall. Delighted with a point as Accies should have been out of sight in the first 20 minutes. Given the injuries we had to start with and then Jack Leitch having to go off at half time makes this point even more remarkable. If we stay up by a point this season, this is the game that will have counted. Tremendous.
  3. PAOK are definitely beatable, you just need to get in their faces more than Hearts did, they've got a good few 'annoying' players that like a wind up but canny take it. I'm no sure if Aberdeen have anyone to capitalise on that though.
  4. He had a meeting with the Supporters Club last Saturday, where he talked a lot and said very little. I'm still not sure what he actually does.
  5. With our injuries in defence, can only see this going one way. Accies should win this fairly comfortably. We're also struggling to score in the league, with just one goal from open play in four matches, and even that was a bit of a fluke. Our strength this season, Falkirk game apart, has been our mental toughness and defensive stability. I'm not sure the latter will be available at the weekend. Hopefully the former will be good enough to maybe snatch a point. 2-0 Accies. To be honest, this is one of our 'free hit' games this season anyway.
  6. If you guys were playing a team made up of all the worst serial killers in history, I'd be in the away end with my Harold Shipman t-shirt on
  7. Don't often pop into this thread, and as a Beano, obviously no real love for you guys, but I hope you absolutely smash those mutants on Saturday. Not that I'm bitter about them cuffing us last night you understand
  8. Ah the old classic selective quoting on P&B. Never gets old.
  9. Could easily have been double figures, don't think any Albion fan would dispute that. That said, half the teams in League 2 would have scudded us last night playing like that. We're not the best team in the world, but Darren Young has moulded us into being very hard to beat (was only our 2nd league defeat of 2023), which makes the performance even more perplexing. I've never seen us surrender like that since the Kevin Rutkiwiez days. Awful.
  10. Falkirk, full time team, 10 days rest Stirling, part time team, 4 days after a lung busting cup tie against a Premiership team. Centre half just off a 12 hour shift, best midfielder missing for family reasons. Only natural right back still injured. You do the maths. That, however, doesn't excuse some of the woeful passing and decision making on display. Falkirk will never have an easier game all season. Be a different story at Forthbank in October. I can see that being a bit fruity
  11. Well, that was utterly appalling. No fight, no energy, no gameplan. Falkirk played well, particularly in the first half, but they are such a one dimensional team in that almost every attack follows the same basic pattern and yet we still couldnae lay a glove on them. Of course, us having an energy sapping cup tie on Friday night and Falkirk having an extended break was a factor, but there's absolutely no excuse from some of the woeful passing and decision making on display there. No-one really played well for us, but at least Lewis Milne put in a half decent shift, and the keeper was blameless for the goals. A real off night, and its frustrating it had to be against them, the team I hate losing to more than any other. The next game between the sides at Forthbank should be pretty tasty now, I can't see us playing as poorly as that again. Incidentally, I've not seen any highlights - but for the penalty in the first half - The handball looked to have been committed by the Falkirk player, can anyone clarify? Not that it matters of course. BIG improvement needed for Saturday at home to Kelty. This team has rightly received a lot of praise recently, but that was completely honking tonight.
  12. A centre half playing at right back against fast, direct wingers was never going to end well.
  13. Wtf are these floodlights btw, half the pitch is in darkness!
  14. This is the worst Albion performance I've seen in a long time. Totally flat after the Aberdeen game. Falkirk could run up a cricket score here
  15. Possibly the fact that he was whining about his players not being able to play on one of the best grass pitches in Scotland.
  16. We were never getting a penalty from that ref.
  17. In fairness, Darvel were 5 divisions below Aberdeen, that was a lightning in a bottle moment, they were always going to lose to you in the next round.
  18. Well, if we play like we did tonight, we've got a great chance of getting something from this game. I would certainly take a point.
  19. Immensely proud of the team tonight, they knocked their pan out for the whole 90 minutes, and actually looked the better side in the closing stages when chasing the game. We have such a strong work ethic and team spirit right now. Aberdeen probably just about deserved it over the piece but we were far from disgraced. Night and day from the 5-0 skelping last season. DY got the team selection and tactics spot on, he's definitely a manager destined for better things, and we're lucky to have him. All the best to the Dons for the rest of the season, thanks for turning up in such big numbers, helps the finances!!
  20. Well done Hearts, and a wee trip to Greece for the fans. Nice.
  21. Great stuff from the Hibees. Glad you put them out, a dirty cheating shower they were. Especially glad to see Jashari's face at the end there, a pus I'd never tire of hitting.
  22. He was still protesting his innocence when he was invited to an Albion game last season and met us all in the pub beforehand, explaining the incident in his inimitable style.
  23. Did he not throw him into the advertising hoardings, and then proceeded to start walking down the tunnel before the red was even shown? Its one of those incidents where the folklore behind it is probably more interesting than what actually happened!
