17 new cases a day. Some second wave. Some people seem desperate for there to be a second wave in these countries that have loosened restrictions to justify to Scottish governments caution source: https://www.brusselstimes.com/all-news/belgium-all-news/118166/coronavirus-what-turns-an-outbreak-into-a-second-wave/

In fairness, I do know people with health problems, it can be quite important to have a chair set up in particular way. if that is the case then it is fair enough.

I have seen a few whisky infused beers here advertised as Scottish style, I have never been tempted but maybe I should give the McChouffe a go.

Or The institute stressed that the increases were mainly due to local outbreaks in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, where more than 1,300 workers at a meat-processing plant were recently found to have been infected. https://m.dw.com/en/coronavirus-latest-german-reproduction-rate-spikes-60-in-a-day/a-53886880 f**k the R number

George Floyd/Black Lives Matter Protests

The South African girl I once lived with is worst human being I think I have ever known. In fairness she wasn't a racist but that was probably the only thing not wrong with her -

Very well made point. Does kind of damage my theory Apologies. Had a mate texting me this afternoon to complain about the lockdown using that exact term to describe her. It felt accurate. Should maybe have said that c**t Johnson

George Floyd/Black Lives Matter Protests

I was absolutely shocked when I saw it here in Belgium. Yet no one here, even my supposedly liberal friends can see how it's offensive. Because it's for the kids, so it's ok. -
soy, vegans, muscles & male health

I might be wrong here but isn't a lot of the stories about soy causing feminisation originating from people who were racist against East Asians. -

Things you want to share with P&B

With my former manky flatmate, it was the case that he had never lived away from parents or had to look after himself. It essentially came down to me telling him to grow up that got him to change. He actually thanked me in the end, cause I forced him to start cleaning the dishes. Only after every plate and cup was in his room, and all the pots and pans had been used. I went almost a week of living off take aways cause I made it clear I wasn't going to clean his mess, which I had previously been doing. -

Honest conversation worked for me in the past. But I had to become an even mankier b*****d to show him how it was a problem. In the end he thanked me for making him a better person -

Every day. Obviously to the office every morning, but also just to go to the shops or just see friends. OK I have had to stop cycling to pub because I fell off a couple of times while cycling home while drunk. I also try to do a tour at the weekend, going to out to the countryside and exploring. I have changed my bike fairly recently and it is very noticeable how getting a new bike can massively improve performance, I didn't quite realise how shite my first bike was until I got a better one (and my current one is my no means anything expensive). And it's also fair to say having the wind right in your face is a b*****d no matter how good you are. -

Mate, when I emigrated to Belgium about a year ago, I was given a company bike (I was offered a company car but since I'm the only person here that can't drive, causes much confusion, and I would have rather had a bus pass at the time), I kind of felt the same way as I hadn't ridden a bike since i was a teenager, and I was nervous. Now after a year, it's different, I am fitter now and go at a better speed. I still have old guys flying past me, but I only compare myself to what I was like previously, and I have definitely improved, just ignore everyone else and just enjoy your cycle, you'll get there. -

That's our match. I'll let her know your thoughts -
I have said this before, but over here we use the number of the people in hospital because of covid to decide on whether measures can be lifted. In fact things have moved quicker than originally planned because when the first measures were lifted, the decrease was more than expected. There is little mention of the fucking bullshit R number.

George Floyd/Black Lives Matter Protests
Turkmenbashi replied to Highland Capital's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
Not equivalent. You would have to make an active effort to go out and desecrate the Bannockburn statue, which no one had planned to do. Whereas the peeing fascist was drunk and in the area for a planned protest and was just being thick. I don't know if the Bannockburn statue was a false flag or not, but I certainly find it a believable theory. -
If that is true, big if. I should probably be complaining to the supermarket, and writing an angry letter to the local newspaper.
