  1. I want ogilvie gone and am surprised more fuss hasn't been made about his position. How can the man who processed illegal EBTs, dodgyside contracts and was also a recipient be the president of the SFA? Utterly untenable.
  2. That herald article is pure push. Would any of the teams in the top league be considerably better off if Rangers were in the top league? Even if the TV deal was a few million higher it would just be hoovered up by the OF and would make little difference to the rest of us prudent enough to only spend what we have these last few years. The guy from begbie traynor shows no basic understanding of the dynamics of the game up here despite their research.
  3. Bennet making a lot of sense today. I can understand - if giggle at - the GIRFUY's from the other Sevco fans but given the position that Ashley appears to have established for himself it looks like the new board will have to dig very deep, or suck up to him and come to a long term agreement where they will 'manage' Rangers with his backing. I think if king passes the fit and proper test with the SFA it's a farce, given how clear their rules are but the noises are that he will. I think he ll have no problems with AIM as he's still a wealthy, connected guy and allowed to act on boards, and hold directors positions in the jurisdiction he was convicted in. I think it's wrong given the magnitude of his crimes against the citizens of his poverty stricken and unequal country but capitalism - of which AIM is at the Wild West end of things - is more forgiving. The other guys now involved will probably be able to do a better job than the shower of the last 3 years - if Ashley allows them and the Bears lower their expectations.
  4. I suspect he will get a Nomad - as tedi says this was flagged up as being likely. Surely he wouldn't be continuing on without that being sorted? Still looks like Ashley holds all the aces and king and co will have to spend big to get actual control of revenues and assets even once they have control of the boardroom. This will decrease the likelihood of 'city investment' in any future share issue even further. Time to dig deep again bears.....
  5. But the 'we're no leaving' statement above suggests there will be.ETA I didn't realise you were trying to catch us diddies out on semantics. Looks like EGM will still go ahead.
  6. Everton also had an affiliate club in Dublin for many years - once called Everton, now Home Farm. Not drawing from a masive unionist population in north Dublin! They may well have 'unionists' amongst their support - given that most English people support the union that is hardly surprising. I don't think that makes them a 'loyalist' club though.
  7. Why would I be worried? At some stage a Rangers inspired entity may thump my team, win the league. Probably inevitable. I could easily have chosen to follow, follow but didn't. I've dpent my football supporting life watching the OF dominate things. So why would I be worried. I'd rather be smugly morally superior!
  8. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football club. If rangers were somehow to recover and go on to do '50 in a Row' on the back of Kings money we'd still be pointing and laughing at the desperation and hurt of sevconians everywhere. The AGM despite the hilarity did produce some sympathy for me for those who cared about their club and the way it has been embarrassed, disgraced and dismantled. I could hear the helplessness and frustration in the postings of the Rangers fans on here and felt sorry for you. However bit by bit the defiance, blame and whataboutery sneaks back in and any understanding by a P or a D starts to melt away like money poured into another share issue.
  9. Rules which probably wouldn't stand up in court regarding property, shareholdings etc. I am surprised at the SFA's strong stance. I half expected a hearts loss, rangers victory over hibs and Ashley given the green light to stabilise rangers leading to a re-emergence of WATP type nonsense.
  10. If they won't accept Ashley's clean money why would they accept Kings? I actually don't see any problem with Ashley owning rangers and Newcastle. Think the SFA will be challenged on this and lose.
  11. Was the vote to expand the share offering passed? That tent thing is a new low.
  12. How is 'our' jimmy performing for you? It looked like he was captain against the Orcs? I d imagine he is cruising the championship and jambos are falling in love with the best smile in football? Also is Prince 'stay in ya beds ya wee Dundee' performing/fit?
  13. He wasn't that bad defensively. 2nd goal was a horrible ricochet and it was hardly like he was being beaten every time. Made some good defensive interventions as well as being probably our best player going forward. 30 million quid shaw on the other side hardly compared well. He's a left back - not a midfielder but will always need someone competent to tuck in for him to allow him to roam.
  14. Irish tv pundits praising Scotland and felt there was an unexpected difference in quality. Robertson picked out as outstanding prospect and strachan praised for the confidence he has given players to try and play the ball on the deck, Ireland were very poor - kick and rush and dirty. Still if Hanley had been sent off - for 2 yellows- as he should have been I wouldn't have fancied our chances. Sad to see how playing the ROI has brought out a lot of self loathing in 'Irish' Celtic fans as well as a nasty sneering tone towards a country with close historical and current links to our own. I think the English game will be poisonous and I'm glad I'm not at home for it.
  15. Summary from Irish tv - 'Ireland sitting too deep and being overrun by a Scotland side full of running and endeavour.'
  16. Loving these gifs. Willo floods cousin was my taxi driver to the airport which must be a sign ..... of something! Good luck to the saintees on here - I like the club if not your team. The two 1 nil wins at tannadice for you in the last year made my eyes bleed. Message to utd is quite simple - time to become legends.
  17. It's the amount extra they paid than was necessary for thosevplayers that is shocking. John daly had no other suitors - why double his wage? If any non celtic out of contract player eg. Black, laws, Sheils, daly etc had offers of 2 k per week why pay 5? I know sevco were also competing with some interest from England but I doubt the above received offers anything like what sevco offered. And all with no resale value. Nuts.
  18. Deliberate shooting yourself in the foot stuff perhaps? No choice for the spivs but to have an insolvency event - 'forced' by the glib and shameless one before he kisses and makes up with the board purchasing the 'brand' and leasing back the stadium from them?
  19. In terms of utd figures we also turned down a joint bid of 1.5 mill for gms and Russell in the summer. If we were in financial trouble we would have taken the money and ran. Instead we branded it an insult. Not out the woods yet but as the MSM had us with a debt of 10 mill (peaked at under 7 mill a few years ago) in the 'summer of armaggedon' we are doing ok and certainly are beyond reproach from fans of a zombie institution like sevco.
  20. I'm a bit conflicted about Dundee being promoted. Delighted to have derbies back but Dunfermline are hard done by. Rangers cheating last season directly affecting them. Oldco should have been relegated and sevco having to apply for vacant place in 3rd once they were liquidated. Hope dunfline financially benefit from their derbies in the 1st.

  22. Feck me - their running costs without a penny spent on any salaries are 15 mill a year based on a quick look at that document. Good luck sevco - a massive bond required to guarantee fulfilling any fixtures in any league I think.
  23. I won't freak out just yet. There is a lot of anonymous sources going on. Smokescreen for sevcos plight? Well done Aberdeen on clarification. If ST does not do same and has been part of this I will feel cheated for the financial contribution I ve made since last week. However there is an element of misreporting going on, so I won't lose hope yet.
  24. 'There will be no sky deal, no premier league' without the orcs. Says it all really. The arrogance continues despite him wanting his arse spanked.
