  1. Goodwin needs hounded out before the weekend. The situation is non recoverable. Better he does the decent thing and fucks off in the morning with a modicum of respect intact rather than waiting until Cormack boots him in the afternoon. The utter utter shitebag.
  2. The 4th official has indicated a minimum of 1690 minutes of stoppage time.
  3. My stream.is miles behind. Fucking yaaaaaaaassssss. Love the Duck! Love him.
  4. Sorry Theodore but this is mince. Most will have fled home already and be in a still unsafe or un sustainable situation like an established refugee Camp or ad hoc settlement. The lack of direct flights from Benghazzi to Edinburgh is the most specious argument I've heard yet. Congratulations. Nobody is suggesting applications from anywhere in the world. The most sensible suggestion would be in the multitude of refugees camps in poor counties bearing the brunt of the international migrant crisis while the UK turns its back on the grounds of an accident of geography. Do better. Although I suspect that you can't. And while we are here. The billions the UK spends of attempting to police the channel, and on shite like Rwanda pales into insignificance next to the cost of the odd plane ticket.
  5. If they applied in Ireland would you allow them to walk? If they had a positive decision and a charity agreed a deal with an airline to use last minute empty seats, or a ferry company, or a train would that be alright with you, if cost is the only objection? I suspect it's not. You see I am willing to believe there are people out there genuinely concerned about small boat crossings that don't believe any of the obviously sensible solutions, like safe routes or outside applications are the answer. I just don't see any evidence that these are sincerely held beliefs from the people decrying these obviously effective measures and strongly, strongly suspect that at the root of this is not a desire to stop small boats, or break up smuggling gangs but a desire to stop people coming here at all. Prove me wrong.
  6. Not sure I follow you. Are you saying once an asylum application from outside of the UK is granted the correct way for this person to get here is to deny them an established route like a ferry, or chunnel ticket and force them onto a lilo across the channel, ergo outside applications are a bad idea? If cost is the issue i am sure there are a plethora of charities who would happily fund cheap travel for successful applicants.
  7. I didn't say it wasn't, I just asked a perfectly reasonable question in return. But, I would challenge your fairly bold assertion that not needing to be in the UK to apply for asylum would have no reduction in the numbers of people crossing the channel in order to apply for asylum. To what do you base this on?
  8. Do the answers to this question make allowing asylum applications from outside of the UK more or less likely to reduce the numbers crossing the English Channel in small boats?
  9. Obviously yes but for more background on why, and how we got to this ludicrous situation, this is great.
  10. Convergence here of a topic on another thread. Is it worth ignoring obvious trolls? Or better to take their nonsense apart with wit, eloquence and an understanding of the subject matter the OP simply can only dream of. Again, I find the existence of these other bangers in the replies very challenging to my current approach.
  11. That Sturgeons Husband has money? That Sturgeon has a husband who has money? A mess of a post, devoid of a point but commendably and remarkably concise. Bravo.
  12. We should be humble enough to recognise when a plan or policy we support, either through belief or ideology or measurable previous successes, is perhaps no longer working. Instinctively, I believe that anyone should be able to come here, and through the exercising of the rights inherent to any man, have the ability to be here, seek shelter and contribute. But current evidence and some utterly appalling, and indeed tragic scenes have made me re-examine this. I have therefore concluded that anyone coming to the forum, by illegal means, through multiple failed accounts, to draw upon the amenities and largesse of the community and then deny decent exchanges with the existing membership should be immediately deported to the Rwandan football forum, Ugali & Ubuki. Pie and Bovril can no longer be a soft touch! ️

  14. Two excellent posts. The Rwanda scheme is immoral, but as importantly it also won't achieve anything. It won't put people off and it cannot be delivered at scale. But then, it's not supposed to resolve the issues, it's supposed to appease and/or whip up the the very worst and thickest fucks in the whole of this stupid, horrible, backwater collection of islands.
  15. I've had a bit to drink but I can't tell if someone actually made that sign rather than photoshopped it. Either way an absolute tragedy of a post(er).
