In terms of a plan b, I don't think we need some massive change in system or anything more just awareness on the park.

Using the Annan game for example we put in about 1 million crosses, they were eaten up by their CBS, GK and that big lad Goss.

The wingers should have adjusted to getting into the box or down to the byeline and hitting it across low or cutting it back for someone attacking the box from deep (which there never was).

We were consistently just attacking in one line, which pushed their defense line back to cover the crosses but there was never anyone up pick up a second ball further away from the goal.

For me that's where you need the players on the park to step up and realise just whacking balls into the box isn't working as opposed to McGlynn doing anything tactically.

Your more creative players need to get on the ball and make things happen. Tait has a bit of that in him but it's definitely somewhere we need to strengthen in the summer.

The players on the park also need to actually attack the crosses we're putting into the box especially when they are coming in as regularly as they are. Farid would have had 30+ goals in this team.

  2. An assist for Keelan Adams in a 3-0 win over Threave Rovers.

2 goals for Rhys Walker at the weekend in a 6-1 win over Pumpherston.

Man of the match performance for Logan Sinclair in a 4-4 draw with Glenrothes.

Hayward, Burke and Honeyman don't look to have played over the weekend.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Sean Mackie, I thought he might be for the off at the end of the season but I’m changing my mind. His physicality could be an asset in a championship squad.

Not for me, he had that honker of a header back to Long last night and I actually felt he was lucky to stay on the park after his tackle on Burrell as it looked high.

Excellent little through ball for the goal but we need better competition in the championship.

  4. Controlled the game from start to finish, had MacIver burried his header it would have been a bigger scoreline.

Shout out to Sam Long btw, didn't have much to do tonight but came and claimed a cross early on which settled everyone's nerves from the weekend.

GK, a 10 and a striker for next season please super John.

Last season I’d be worried about megginson, fyvie, Burrell but this season they shouldn’t be a problem at all. Hendo needs to start McGinn isn’t good enough anymore (probably last game for the club) could see tait starting as well if hendo isn’t fully fit somehow, Ross or Alfie starting instead of Morrison as well if he isn’t fit which isn’t likely as he looked like he was limping coming off the pitch on Saturday, 3 changes maximum, 1 change minimum for tonight

In the 10 league games Fyvie has started this season they've won 7 and drew 3.

They've only won 11 league games in total this season so it's fair to say he's pivotal to how they play.

Anyone else a bit worried about tonight?  I thought we were like a tiger with no teeth on Saturday.  If we play the same tonight I can see it going sideways.  I really hope McGlynn has had the players practicing how to header the ball downwards.  Maybe have Hendo push forward more often, he knows how to head a ball.

Them having Megginson and Fyvie back is a worry but we should have enough to beat them. Better have Hendo back into the middle of the park and hopefully Morrison's fit, if not get Ross in for him on the right.

Having looked through the pics, I'm beginning to wonder if Long should have had a foul. Looks like the boy jumped into him, and from the angle he was at the ref wouldn't have had a clear view. Possibly number 17 and definitely Finn Yeats would have been blocking his line of sight.

The fact that Long was knocked over while the forward stayed on his feet after the punch suggests to me there was contact.

Shouldn't make any difference in the long term but maybe someone needs to make the case for Longs defence.

I'd have more sympathy if he tried to come claim it and was then clattered but the fact he's went to club it makes him fair game in my opinion, just like any other 50/50 on the park.

If we're signing loan players next season we absolutely have to make sure we never need to play them for any contractual reasons.

Long is absolutely fucking dreadful and is a clanger a week.

    Lesson learned hopefully

It won't be contractual, if you have young a player out on loan who isn't getting any games at all you're going to recall him so McGlynn's obviously decided on this month each nonsense as he said to try keep them both happy.

Both keepers have mistakes in them but Long's had more howlers than Hogarth. Partick, Dundee United, Bonnyrigg and Annan. I can only think of the one away at Accies for Hogarth.

The howler from Long wouldn't have been an issue if we'd just stuck the ball in the b*****d net a few more times right enough.

Ross needs to take his chance on Tuesday, 21 appearances, 0 goals and 2 assists(last one was in October) albeit most of those appearances were off the bench. He's an exciting player to watch but he needs to sort out that end product.

  9. I don't think it's out of order to expect better than a 1-1 draw at home to Annan given the standards our team have set this season.

We weren't really at the races Today for a second week running, with the difference being Hogarth kept us in the game last week whereas Long threw the game away this week. Fine margins as McGlynn would say.

I agree- I like Maciver but we will be made to pay in the championship if he continues to miss so many chances. We will need a better option there imo.

Add Nesbitt to that list, MacIver put it on a plate for him in the first half.

Heads gone I see by some. Made enough chances to win 4 games. Keeper made a great save early in the 2nd half then has punched weakly and we don’t react to the 2nd and 3rd ball.
    McCann was superb today.

I'm not so sure, enough crosses yes but in terms of actual chances there wasn't many. Took a howler from their keeper for us to go infront and a howler from our keeper to level the game.
