  1. Better technically but less combative, should be fine against QOS as if they sit in again Tait has the ability to pick a pass through them.
  2. My ideal would be, St Johnstone and Livi getting relegated with Dundee United and Raith getting promoted. Arbroath and Queens Park getting relegated with us and Alloa getting promoted.
  3. I judge Ross for not getting more goals and assists as he's such a classy footballer, very much in the same way I wanted more out of Kucheriavyi last season. I'd be offering him a deal for next season as in the championship there'll be much more space for our attacking players to go express themselves and that can only benefit Ross with the skill and pace he possesses. FTV commentator sums it up brilliantly he just glides by players with ease without ever really looking like he's out of 2nd gear. Next season you won't get teams coming to the Falkirk stadium and not even bothering to try leave their own half(QOS) leaving very little room for our creative players to work their magic. To the Raith fan who had a pop at McGlynn's multi year deals, whilst you were signing one of the most sought after young prospects in Scotland off of an Aberdeen team that wanted him to stay, we were signing Brad Mckay on a three year deal and Gary Holt's son on a two year deal. There's levels to the recruitment game, McGlynn's top tier.
  4. Keep him in cotton wool, no need to be risking players.
  5. This summers all about quality again as we need to be signing players who are better than what we currently have but we're in a great position given the leagues basically already tied up this early. Clubs down south also seem more willing to loan players to championship clubs so that opens up our market straight away. Would love an Akinyemi/Taylor type striker, big physical player who can also shift. Obviously every team is looking for a player like that.
  6. Was out of contract with Morton last summer and ended up back with them at the tail end of the year so nobody must have fancied him. Think he was on trial at Kilmarnock, very similar to Mccann but has a catapult of a long throw.
  7. Would be great to have Yeats for another 2/3 years as his attitudes fantastic, he leaves everything on the park and with McGlynn's coaching he's only going to get better.
  8. Yeah we will be so long as we've offered him a deal which is the same or more than what he's on just now. What that would be is a bit of a nonsense to try work out as it takes loads into consideration. Including how much it cost to provide him with training kit etc. But given he's been here for 2 years and racked up around 50 appearances I'd like to hope it would be a not bad little sum.
  9. He's impressed me in the games he's played against us this season. Not as much as Sam Fisher did for the scum last season but still looks very promising.
  10. 50 seconds in for a boner. Our new right back
  11. Agree with the start as he's been the foil for our 3 in behind to get themselves goal but in the championship that won't wash. You can't have a striker missing 3/4 chances a game in that league. IMO we're a much better team than Dunfermline were last season, without looking I'd imagine we've scored more goals, but Wighton managed 16 goals in that team and MacIver's only on 10. Edit: I did look, 63 goals all season for Dunfermline last season and we're on 67 with 8 games to go.
  12. The only game I can think of in the league where we were lucky not to lose was the 1-1 at Queen of the south. Even in that game if MacIver tucked away a header in the first half we'd have won by 3/4.
  13. So what about the other 60 minutes? As in the majority of the game.
  14. Seems to comment on us a lot so clearly loved his time here which is something given how shit a team he was in. 6ft 4 too, in you come.
  15. Yeah still got a year left but I can't see them being that difficult to deal with.
  16. If you keep your run of form and you'll be seeing Stenny next season x
  17. What the f**k is side show bob doing for the second goal, ducks out the way of it.
  18. I agree that he's making it hard for McGlynn not to offer him a deal but for me given he's not good enough to start games I wouldn't be signing him and McGlynn's experienced enough to make those difficult decisions. Nesbitt does my tits in(why did he try pass to Miller in the second half instead of tucking it away?)but he's better than Gary Oliver and given he's already signed up for next season we need to aim for a number 10 who's better than Nesbitt to continue on the upwards trajectory. I'm in the same boat with Shanley, I thought he was brilliant today and I've been impressed with other appearances he's made but like MacIver he doesn't seem like he's going to be a goalscorer. He'll get his extra year but we'll need to be aiming to sign a new striker in the summer as a starter.
  19. My frame doesn't do it any favours as he does come down slightly just before he wins the ball but it was a lunge and Burrell was through on goal if he never made the foul. Ref let Niang away with murder so in that regard he was consistent, he blew for the foul straight away with Connell then scudding the bar so would have been carnage had Connell's strike actually went in.
  20. Quality over quantity just like last summer. Safe to assume Allan will be looking for a new club and if we take up the extra years option on Shanley we'd have 12 senior players going into the summer. Hogarth, Yeats and Ross IMO we should be looking at offering deals which if they all signed would take us up to 15 players. So 5 quality signings on top of that to take us up to a senior squad of 20 supplemented with any of the academy players McGlynn feels are ready. Starting GK, CB/LB cover, centre mid, 10 and a new starting striker. Bosh. Goalkeeper 27. Owen Hayward (A) Defender 2. Tom Lang 6. Coll Donaldson 3. Leon Mccann Keelan Adams 33. Logan Sinclair (A) Midfielder 8. Brad Spencer 5. Liam Henderson 10. Aidan Nesbitt 7. Callumn Morrison 29. Calvin Miller 11. Alfredo Agyeman 30. Scott Honeyman (A) 32. Rhys Walker (A) Striker 17. Ross MacIver 19. Ryan Shanley
