Is Walton top flight good? Never really seen him be tested on the TV games. Usually had nothing to do or conceded a goal that he could do nothing about.

Who do you lads think Goodwin is going to keep going into next season?

He's been decent, and seems to be a calming influence on the defence.

I'd be more than happy to start a Premiership season with him, though I do admit that judgement may be clouded by our previous bad experience

Genuinely interested in what you think that is?

Top end league one/lower end championship?

I'd say someone who should feature regularly in the Championship, and have regular impact, not the hit and miss stuff we see from him.

I don't think he is or has the potential to be better than Chalmers, but I'd say he has enough to be a solid Championship player if he can find some consistency

And of course there are cringing royalists who are also staunch Roman Catholics. Jacob Rees Mogg, Ann Widdecombe and the ghost of Jimmy Saville

ETA: that's "staunch" in it's normal outside world sense as opposed to the P&B vernacular obviously

If the Scottish media has taught me anything, it's that there is no such thing as a "staunch" Catholic.

Catholics are "devout", Protestants are "staunch", eg "Tommy Burns, a devout Catholic".

Yeah, didn't rate him at all. Whereas Lucy Ward was excellent, I thought. Proof, as if it were needed, that Joey Barton is a twat.

She was excellent. She did occasionally leave dead air as she tried to comprehend exactly what Dempsey was trying to ask her, but you can't really blame her for that!

His rambling about Martinez during the penalties forced me to mute the tv

The lowlight was his 3 minute sentence before HT where he described what Emery had "written on his CV".

Any employer receiving a CV that contained what he described would have filed it straight in the bin
