Basically, he wants to take all the good bits out of Rangers
You've lost me....

Massively out of pocket? How is Whyte going to be massively out of pocket?
£1 is a lot of money in a credit crunch - especially to a football team. Rangers could make a bid for Messi with that kind of cash at their disposal!

:(
i can see duff and phelps annoucning another one of their fucking trademark "deadlines" soon
As in Rangers to be completely f*cked by......

"Negotiations with SPL to ensure no deductions for next season, offer is contingent on no sanctions from them and therefore time is of the essence"
And they say the Yanks don't understand fitba. This guy seems to already be aware that rules get changed for the OF

Sorry! Its just that this thread is so gargantuan that I can't keep track of it! How did H&D get to become administrators? Did they win a raffle?
Should you struggle to keep track, new threads on any updates, along with a balanced analysis of such updates, are available on the Rangers Media Forum

So in summary. The Blue Knights, who never had any money, have stepped back because they don't have any money. Bill Ng, who made a high offer, turns out to not have enough money, and is worried about getting the shares from Whyte, who Haudit and Daudit said was now irrelevant in the process. Bill Miller? Has said almost nothing so far, whats the score there? Oh, and Kennedy, a man who actually does have some money and experience, has been told by H&D that his offer is no good because its too low, despite it now basically being the only offer on the table. Meanwhile, H&D are trying to sue Whyte's lawyers and are going to get tied up in court for months carrying out an action they are unlikely to win.
Is that all right so far? Have I missed anything?
Kennedy also sold his share in Everest the other day for £25m, which is too low

I hope the Duff and Phelps call waiting tune is the theme from the muppet show or just the sound of laughter.
or this
Or just the opening line of "My Way" on constant loop

He's more a rugby man than football, and by a good distance.
He also bought the heavily in debt Stockport County FC and transferred ownership of their ground to his rugby team before handing the football club over to the fans with the debt still intact (but minus a stadium). Then his rugby club started to charge the football club rent.
He was sniffing around Edinburgh Rugby (Gunners as they were at the time) several years ago when they were up for sale.
And also wanted to bring London Scottish to Edinburgh.
I understand he wants to move into Scottish Rugby, possibly with a team from Glasgow who may or not be moving to an Athletics ground in Scotstoun for next season and who, with the right investment and a bit of shrewd running, could make a substantial impact on the European stage.
He appears to want to buy an ailing Glasgow football club with, what has to be said, rather excellent facilities, stadium and training centre both, for a very minimal sum of money.
I'm not sure if any of the above are dots that can be connected.
Your "understanding" seems to be from the Chick Young school of understanding.
He bought Stockport and all their assets including Edgeley Park and the training ground. He subsequently sold Stockport to a Supporters group (like the ones constantly suggested on Rangers Media, but the transfer didn't include EP or any of the associated costs with owning a facility like that. The Supporters group then ran Stockport into admin a few years later. As someone else mentioned, he has regularly waived the required rent.
Kennedy served on the Scottish Rugby board for a while. Not sure if anyone else will remember the sh*tstorm at Murrayfield when Phil Anderton (later of Hearts) was sacked by the blazer brigade for attempting to run the business properly and make them pay for tickets instead of travelling all over on the SRU's bill. Kennedy came in as a non-exec director, and was part of the group which oversaw the move to a significantly better off-field structure and business model which is slowly starting to produce the goods at youth and pro level (although sadly not at international atm!). He didn't want to bring London Scottish to Edinburgh - it was suggested that he would fund a London-based but SRU-managed pro-team in the English League. This was rejected by the SRU, and would have needed RFU approval anyway.
I can also confirm that Glasgow Warriors are still owned by the SRU and will definitely be playing at Scotstoun (which is also where their offices and training ground are) for the forseeable future.
Glasgow have previously used Murray Park's indoor facility for training during inclement weather, but the pitch at Ibrox does not meet the required size. (The IRB have granted special dispensation for the Commonwealth Games as can be seen in this document).

Was Bains bonus a loan? What were the t/s of loans? I dont think Rangers would be silly enough to issue loans with no documented arrangement for settlement... Unless they weren't really loans at all.
Exactly. There must have been some kind of documentation regarding the "loan", otherwise they would have been just as well sticking a pile of tenners in the dressing room.

He obviously did a quick google search and discovered that EVERYONE who has ever went near Rangers be it a player, loanee, manager, coach, YTS kid or the fucking painters who tart up Ibrox in the summer are ALL MASSIVE Rangers fans, or at least that's what the papers print about EVERY person that's joining
Google search? I thought all Google History had been deleted?

I know the Rock is due to be appearing more and gunning for the title, but something inside me is saying he'll end up taking on The Streak at Mania.
On a side note, I've just finished reading Jericho's books - absolutely brilliant.

Blue knights - 'we're out'. Ticketus - 'naw yer no', you couldn't make it up.
"EXCLUSIVE: Ticketus in slow realistion that there are now 3 different people trying to shaft them!"

all hopes are being pinned on a "lifelong Rangers fan" that no-one had heard of a few weeks ago.
Pretty sure Bill Ng is Malay for Craig Whyte

So just to recap - no-one wants them, apart from the two guys who want to liquidate them?
Couldn't the Scottish media put together a late bid, or would that be a bit too obvious?

Listening to the phone-ins this evening reminds me of the great Only an Excuse sketch where the audience member says "Does the panel think.....eh, that's it, does the panel think?"
Edited for awful spelling!

Keevins finishes up by playing the Roddy Forsyth "I am a football journalist therefore I know little about governance and EBTs"
Well then - why the f*ck are you constantly in the paper and on the radio spouting off about it?

Stranger than Fiction
Will Ferrell plays a guy who has a narration going on in his head. Not too bad - 7/10

^^^^^^iffy laptop keyboard after dog stood on it, combined with me being a lazy bugger re checking my posts.
I hope you sat and had a quiet word with the dog about his/her feelings. Wouldn't want animal rights on you!

? that was a joke ? Really
Why would I want to contact the JC when its the Animal Rights coonts I have issue with? And I didn't raise the issue, so, roooon ye!
Then my apologies for misreading.
But surely the JC would be the experts, and would be able to provide the same facts to AR as you have here? Although I agree that AR probably wouldn't listen.
As for criticising my joke and that "roooon ye!" comment - I didn't want this to get (more) petty but
Cluess re National Hunt .
^^^^^^^^^^^^ Clueless re: spelling

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ exactly the attitude that has cost more horses their lives in the last 10 years than in previous decades.
Cluess re National Hunt .
So because I decide to make a joke, I'm clueless, and my attitude is to blame for the deaths of horses?
I told a joke about a magic tractor the other day - presumably I'm to blame for the dearth of magic tractors?
Maybe you'd be better off contacting the Jockey Club with your concerns, rather than raising them on a predominantly football forum?

Only gonna get worse with the increasing changes forced by the animal rights tossers making it more dangerous for the horses
Have you ever tried jumping a 5ft fence over a 5ft ditch with a midget on your back*? Dangerous as f*ck regardless.
*When falling make sure you use the midget as a crash pad.

Wonder when these "journalists" will grow a pair and ask Uncle Walter how much he was involved?

Mark Hately with another belter today
No wonder the fans are burying their heads in the sand when the "experts" are writing stuff like this.
How dare they penalise Rangers for cheating!
