Sometimes it's the wrong changes though - I know Bingham's away now but he was getting on ahead of Shepherd and there was also the tendencey to bring on Leahy, when there are clearly better players available. Those are just examples. Also, I don't agree with tinkering with a winning backline when you're ahead, as there's always a risk of throwing it away although that hasn't happened as of yet. Maybe I'm being harsh but as I said, it's a minor thing, and he's showing signs of improving that side of it already.
I don't doubt he was dealt a bum deal - all I'm saying is that the team under Holt look much less nervous and frustrated. Can't disagree more with the second part of your post though, we can't be great all the time and if we're winning and drawing these games when we're not playing well then you can't really complain.
Agree to a point. Ability wise Alston should be getting on ahead of Leahy but we need to consider that there may be internal reasons for him being dropped. Attitude issue maybe?
