  1. Beating Hibs at Hampden would be about the only thing that could possibly give me closure on what happened in 2013. However, I don't want them, because of what happened in 2013.

As for the Falkirk-Queens rivalry thing, I think it does exist due to the situation both clubs are in. Similar sized clubs competing at the same level for the same thing. Correct me is I'm wrong but didn't our rivalry with the Pars start out simply because we were never too far from each other in the league, either fighting relegation or competing for the league?

  2. Anyone wanting to get rid of Destiny drop me a pm.

This still on the cards? If not, I've got a copy of Destiny that I got as part of a bundle as a birthday present that I'm looking to punt. If anyone's looking for one, give us a shout.

    ETA: PS4.

  3. Speaking of young strikers, I'm doing some research for Football Manager 2015 and as Kevin O'Hara is now on the scene, I'm having to create his in-game profile from scratch, As I don't watch the under 20s, can anyone help me out with a few details? Need to know his date of birth, rough height, weight and build and some of his strongest and weakest attributes. Any help at all would be appreciated.

  4. Been told that Joe Chalmers and Brian Graham are the 2 signings we are looking to bring in and could happen this week.

Also heard this, also that we're looking to bring in another attacker (as well as Graham).

Won 3-1 tonight. Rory Boulding played again and scored.

Interesting. Other scorers? Any other trialists?

  5. How is Houston going to have us play? The Montrose game is the first time I'll get a chance to see. Are you expecting much the same as before?

From what I've gathered, we're going to start with a 4-2-3-1 but as the game progresses, switch to 4-4-2. Against the Shire, Shepherd started on the right, but went up front with Loy after a while, with McGrandles (who had been playing in the '10') going out onto the right. Getting a new striker in will allow us to switch between these 2 more easily I reckon, as it gives us the option of starting Loy behind the new guy, and moving him up top when we're going for it.

  6. Enjoyed what I saw tonight. Had to leave with about 5 mins to go so missed their 2nd and our equaliser though. Liked the way we lined up in the first half and it could easily be effective as it leaves enough players back to put pressure on the ball and allows McGrandles to take it and find Alston/Cooper on the breakaway. However, I do think the 4-4-2 we played after we brought Shepherd (who I think made a difference today with his pace on the counter, will be important for us this season) on looked a lot better and more dangerous. As for Rotherham, they're no doubt a good side and their players are immaculate physically but f**k me, how could you watch that on a weekly basis. Tackle hard and kick it long to the big strikers. Not exactly difficult to manage although it's effective I suppose.

Notable performances: I thought Taiwo looked tidy, not as imposing or energetic as Millar but confident enough on the ball, composed and a good passer. Ollie looked good again, can dwell on the ball but good enough. Big, physical guy which is what we need. Maybury looked OK, capable back up but I don't think he makes it into a full strength first team. Not fast enough or good enough in the air for me.

Also, I did notice how animated Houston was on the touchline in comparison to Holt.

All in all an enjoyable experience, plenty to talk about and has left me looking forward to Saturday a lot. Bring on the Shire.

  7. Final Score : FALKIRK 3 BERWICK RANGERS 2

FALKIRK (First Half) : MacDonald; Maybury, Vaulks, McCracken, Dick; Alston, Durojaiye, Taiwo, Cooper; Loy, O’Hara.

FALKIRK (Second Half) : MacDonald; Rowan, McGeever, P. Grant, Blair; Blues (Martin 70), McGrandles, McNab (Eadie 70), Leahy, Biabi, Hogg.

    No Duffie?

  8. Interesting business by Livi. First off, Gallacher seems a tremendous signing, should be in the Premiership at least based on last season. Didn't know about this assault trial, though. Maybe that has something to do with it. Secondly, David Robertson also seems a decent bit of business. Experienced at a higher level and should be more than good enough to cut it at Livi. Jordan White is a risky one, really looked horrid when he was with us before but seems to have come on to a game at Stirling. Fluffed his last opportunity to step up but now he's had a good bit of first team experience at a decent level under his belt, he may make this one count. Big gamble though and I hope you're not depending on him.

As for the other 3, I have to admit I'd not heard much about any of them, but a quick google search suggests that McKenna has done pretty well in the juniors, Ogleby has a good bit of experience south of the border with Wrexham after being released by Hearts and Donaldson's most recent spell was at Arbroath on loan.

You reckon this will be about it as far as signings go for Livi or are you looking for a few more?
