  1. Some of the valuations of the Club on here are absolutely wild.
  2. Anyway, in other news ... I assume this is some administrative thing that was covered off at the AGM?
  3. Congratulations to Morton, by far the better team. We were out thought, out fought and outclassed. Good luck in the next round.
  4. The better team are miles ahead, we're lucky we're only one down. Big 45 minutes ahead.
  5. We're lucky it's only a one goal deficit. We're miles off of it and are going oot. Our defence is so easy to play again. The back 3 have no pace and they are so weak against a target man. And any cross on top of Captain Flap results in mass panic. He's worth a goal start for opponents every game. Seinfeld on Netflix, is it?
  6. I just thought you really liked Antartica. I have never watched the OC or Sienfeld. Friends was cheesy pish. I'm more of a Superstore fan boy.
  7. I understand the principle of the Society and its purpose. Creating a creditor that's there until its written off is an interesting way to run a business. By my reckoning there is £500k cash balance in the Well Society. That's 6 weeks of operating cash for the club. Its not the security net people think it is.
  8. Companies were more or less told to recognise the income from the loan/grant as other income in the P&L, with the debt recognised on the Balance Sheet. The accounts for MFC aren't all that bad, relatively speaking. The Well Society in the other hand ...
  9. There appears to be a lot of people referring to an investment. The phrase used on the statement is "fund raising initiative", which is charity patter. I'm with Busta on this one, chat of investment is fanciful at best.
  10. I fully expect us to get our arses handed back to us in a cloche on Saturday. Get the popcorn ready, the resultant fan implosion could be an entertaining watch.
  11. I might be going again the current widely held opinion of Kettlewell, however I think he should still have until at least Christmas. Just taking the last 2 games in isolation; a great point at Celtic Park followed up by a great start yesterday which was undone by poor defensive mistakes, again. From minute 5, you could feel the confidence being sucked out of the team, they're used to chasing a game rather than managing a lead. They didn't have long to wait until we were back in our default position. There is no doubt that there is a good team spirit (last minute goal rescues another point, again), so the players are playing for him however most of the positions that we've found ourselves in this season have been self inflicted due to individual errors and shite goalkeeping. For me, the big difference between this season and last actually isn't KvV, it's because the wing backs aren't of the same quality. Furlong and Johnston's strength and pace haven't been adequately replaced. Spencer needs to be on the right, and either SoD or Gent on the left. Overall, the tension in the stands isn't helping the team. Our fan base needs to be realistic, we're not a big club or business, 9th is about right for us, and we can't keep sacking managers. We're one poor managerial appointment from relegation. We persisted with Robbo after a run just like this one and it worked (the first time anyway) and he turned it around. Kettlewell has earned his chance until Christmas due to last season's performance. TLDR; aye, I still back him.
  12. Talk about killing the mood! I feel like I've been knee capped reading that. (You're absolutely spot on, mind you.)
  13. I'm fairly confident that neither Citeh or Chelsea will be fined or deducted points.
  14. It was at Fir Park I think, Viduka went down the middle, Stevie stood up to it and touched it over the bar. Rumours that he was slow to move and that's why he saved it are unproven. But possibly true.
  15. No one has mentioned Graeme Smith who is Liam Kelly reincarnate. If we had persisted with Samson in 16/17, we would have been relegated for sure. Stevie Woods wasn't as bad as people make out. Saved a Mark Viduka penalty once. Anyway, too much negativity on here. John Ruddy is the best I've seen, followed by the Saturday shagger.
  16. Even after Saturday, yes. A number of years ago, ironically under Robbo, after something like 3 defeats in 3 weeks against Celtic, it broke us for about 2/3 months. We went on a horrendous run, confidence was shattered and it looked like we were doomed. To be fair to Robbo, he turned it around just before the knives were out for him. This run has the hallmarks of that. We've been gash for a good few weeks now, but Ketts has something mental like 50% win rate for us because of the run we went on last season, which means he gets until at least January from me. He has been asked to replace a 30 goal striker , and a left and right wing back that has great potential to go places in the game with peanuts; practically impossible for a MFC manager. Nothing else has changed all that much since last season, so that's where the problem is right now. It wasn't that long ago that we were playing some right good stuff, so the team are capable of better. Scoring goals will be a problem. We are were we should be now; bottom half. The start of the season fooled a lot of people into thinking we're better than what we are. I have more questions on how the club is being ran rather than questions for the management team.
  17. Jings. I've got ex wives that let things go faster than St Mirren fans. They'll be an entertaining bunch when Robbo signs the 2023 version of Hylton and it starts to go wrong.
  18. Here is some funny / scary telly for ya. https://www.mkdons.com/news/2023/october/press-conference-graham-alexanders-barrow-reaction
  19. Drive safely tonight. Make sure that Champs League music is as loud as your wee ears drums can take.
