  1. Suggesting that 1st v 3rd is not game of the day is something of a bizarre take, I must say
  2. I remember it all too well. The utterly useless Rudi Skacel scored his one and only goal for us. I remember thinking we wouldn't win when it went to 3-1...and we needed a penalty at the end to make it 4-4. Bonkers, and not in a good way
  3. I feel the same. He was very good during the Tam Courts season, but his confidence is absolutely shot now. A move is the best option for him. I hope he makes a go of it.
  4. As an aside, Dundee United have not won a league game at Stark's Park since December 1998! We've only been in the same division twice since then, so it's only four games since we last won there...so it's not as bad at it first sounds. https://www.arabarchive.co.uk/matchdetails.php?id=1566
  5. I went to see a game between Luton and Wolves there about 20 years ago, and the seat I booked did not exist. I had something like seat G2, and the row of seating started at number 3. A steward told me to sit in the aisle, then half an hour later another steward bollocked me for blocking the aisle. In summary, f**k Luton
  6. I think that's fair. If he gets us up, and I think he still will, then it's mission accomplished. Obviously, he'll be punted if we don't go up. I'm not a huge fan, I must say. I know not everyone agrees and thats fine, but I feel that we are where we are despite him, not because of him. It's maybe unfair, but if he does take us up, I think he'll be gone by October anyway.
  7. Thanks for the kind words guys. I appreciate them. It means a lot. As non OF fans, there's more that unites us than divides us. Fife b*****ds
  8. On a personal note, it was nice to be at the game with my old man, he's had a pretty shit time of things recently so it was wonderful to spend some quality time with him, as time goes on it gets harder to make time for everyone. Forgive me the self indulgence, but the game was a brilliant distraction for him, and that means more than the result.
  9. Ach, you make your own luck in this game, and Raith did. Not one of our players would have even attempted what Scott Brown did last night, far less scored it. 9 times out of 10 it goes horribly wrong, but to use the cliche, you won't win the lottery unless you buy a ticket
  10. You should probably get an early night, Mr McPake. Big game tomorrow xx
  11. Some hit. We maybe didn't deserve to lose, but we certainly didn't deserve to win. You can't do anything about a goal like that one tonight, really. Raith Rovers are clutch, as the kids say.
  12. In fairness, he got a few assists last year. None for United, but still.
  13. Behave. Worse than Christophe Rabitisch? Adam Barton? Yannick Loemba? Jordie Briels? Don't be silly.
  14. It's great to be involved in such a big game - when we were last down here our promotion season was curtailed by Covid, so actually getting to experience a promotion battle is brilliant. Hopefully I'll feel the same at 9:45 tonight
  15. I have a feeling it will be a draw, as much as I'd like a United win I just can't see it. Raith have to stop the rot sometime...don't they?
  16. You're right. Something is either infinite or finite. Strictly speaking a thing can't be almost infinite. It's like being almost pregnant. I need to get out more
  17. It looked horrible, and it's a mercy is not as bad as it should have been. Dundee are absolutely right to pursue this, there should be no chances taken with these types of incident and it is genuinely incredible that the referee did not see fit to stop the game. As you say, it was blindingly obvious this wasn't play acting.
  18. Think I was at that game for some reason. Wasn't that Richard Offiong?
