  1. Just as a matter of interest how many times has he actually hit the net in a Dumbarton shirt .
  2. Wallace didn’t show much of his class act today just as poor as he was for the Fife all of last season.
  3. The silence is absolutely defining from our supreme leaders. They should be flinging the kitchen sink at getting new faces in the door. We can’t even get to hear what the manager made of Saturdays performance as apparently there is a technical fault with his after match interview. He has given 15 players a chance in the last two games but apart from a couple the rest have let themselves the manager and the fans down big time. Now you could argue these players aren’t good enough but they haven’t even shown much fight when things go against them in a game. Can’t blame the manager for individual errors , costing a minimum of one goal a game. The lack of communication from the board just isn’t good enough let’s here if there’s no money to improve things. One things for sure if they just bury their head in the sand and things keep going the way they are the fans will never forgive them. The decisions taken at board room level in the last 2 or3 years have brought us to where we are now so let’s hear how they plan to sort it .I won’t hold my breath waiting for the chairman to communicate with the fans.
  4. Getting more embarrassing every week if the people behind the scenes sit on their hands another week then they should consider their position. This can’t be allowed to go on seriously 1 win in 10 games you tell me another board who wouldn’t act when you still have half a chance. Getting comprehensively beat every week just isn’t good enough. This board have made so many bad decisions in recent times for gods sake please do the right thing for once and tell the manager thanks for your effort but it ain’t working out.
  5. All the optimism after our victory at Elgin has well and truly been blown out the window. Our home form is nothing short of horrible. As has been said many times players pulling on a jersey each week no matter how bad they have been in previous games. For me Mercer. Steele and Murdoch all needing a spell on the sidelines as they are way off what’s required. If that’s all the transfer business done for January we are in big trouble we desperately need another option up front. Managers record since coming into post is not good enough I’m not convinced he really knows what he is doing. The board are fans like us surely they must know that the results and performances are way off the mark. Even the most optimistic fan will be very concerned for the clubs league status. Things have been going down a slippery slope for 3 years now I hope the board realise that there isn’t much further to fall. What a sad state for a once proud football club. I can only hope someone in the board room is able to take leadership and sort out this sorry mess.
  6. Game completely spoiled in horrendous conditions. East Fife scored a very well worked goal and after that we were very passive. No urgency second best at all second balls. Stennie bossed the midfield area and it’s clear to see we are powder puff in there with no physical presence what so ever. A very bad mistake from an experienced goalkeeper for Stenhousemuir goal. . At the other end we didn’t test Stennie new keeper he looked pretty poor fumbling most things that came near him. If we had put him under pressure he looked like a mistake was in him. We humped the ball in the air far to often when the conditions called for the ball on the deck. Missed Healy today big time hopefully be back next week. Our home form is very concerning 2 victories all season.
  7. Things are pretty bad down Methil way with our silent owner but this is taking club ownership to a brand new level. Good luck guys see you in division 2 some day soon.
  8. Rumours nearly true Scott Agnew has returned as player coach maybe be manager soon if results continue in free fall.
  9. Well we’ll not much festive cheer for the Fife faithful this is really turning into a car crash. No victory since October and the performances are getting worse by the week. The lack of leadership in the boardroom and in the management must have every fan who cares about the club deeply concerned. The standard of football on display is as bad as I can remember. If we don’t make several signings in January the only road is down . Hard to believe how far we have fallen in the space of 30 months. Problem is there isn’t much further we can fall.. Hopefully someone in high places had an idea how to arrest the slide.
  10. Balde would have played but word has it he has played his last game for the Fife. Apparently heading to Arbroath. We are in deep trouble not won a game since October and not looking like winning a game.
  11. Have Dumbarton hand picked this game knowing that East Fifes record down Dumbarton way is pretty appalling. By my calculation our last success at the Rick was a 4 2 victory in 2019. Our away record has been decent with only one loss on the road all season . Dumbarton might be a bit rusty with no action for a couple of weeks but I’m sure they’ll be confident of getting another home victory against a poor East Fife team. Hopefully with the postponement at the weekend we will have a couple of players back from injury. Would be happy with a point.
  12. Can’t understand how you can go from man of the match one week to warming the bench the next week. Surely you play your players who are in form.
  13. You can buy online or buy a ticket in the reception area at Bayview before the game no money at turnstile.
  14. How many fans will brave the arctic conditions at New Bayview tomorrow. This game been brought forward from New year and walk up prices reduced to £14 for adults. Certainly a very important game as Bonnyrigg will know a victory really tightens up the bottom 5 positions. After last weeks lack lustre showing we need 100% improvement to take anything from the game. We will need to deal with the physical battle much better than we showed last week as well. I know it’s hard for young lads to match up physically In a man’s footballing world but the management must have had an idea this would happen when they assembled the squad. Hopefully Balde and Schivonnie good to start tomorrow. You can only hope the management have identified where things are going wrong defensively and implemented some kind of plan to stop shipping cheap goals. Can’t say I’m very confident and the smart money will be on both teams to score. Bonnyrigg did well last week holding the league leaders and will have taking some confidence from that.
  15. We’ll going by current form under Greig McDonald in our last competitive 6 games we have managed one victory against 10 man Elgin City. In the process we have been averaging losing 2.5 goals a game. If alarm bells aren’t ringing upstairs in the board room then they should be. The squad Crawford built in the summer has so many holes in it. The first thing McDonald has to do is make us harder to beat teams are scoring at will against us. It’s hard if you need to score 3 goals a game to win a match. Saturday will be your proverbial 6 pointer if we lose then we will really be sucked into the bottom half of the table. Only 3 more games to the January window by the time that comes round I fear we could be in real trouble. Of the starting 11 on Saturday only Fleming and Healy made any teal positive contribution. Then you look at the bench and the options to change anything are minimal, he has players on the bench not getting a chance to show what they can do. Most of the players with the jersey know no matter how bad they are they will play again next week.
  16. Greig McDonald still getting an easy ride from the fans but not much positive to come out of that today. We are hardly a threat going forward with the exception of Healy who is making good improvement. The defending is absolutely shambolic and it is given the team a mountain to climb every game. Hardly any intensity to our play and we get opened up with ease time after time. Fleming kept us in that game up to half time but you knew we were odds on to lose more goals after the break. Crowds below 500 how far are we going to fall we need some experience brought in and some height and physical presence at the back. We really can’t afford another crap transfer window as the last 3 or 4 have put us in this dodgy position of getting drawn into a fight for survival.
  17. In the end a comfortable victory for Annan , had too much physicality up front and bullied our centre backs all game. The honeymoon is over for Greig McDonald 1 point from 12 is piss poor, To be honest a blind man could see where the problem lies shipping 2 and 3 goals every game. If it wasn’t for our keeper today the game would have been all over in less than 20 minutes, penalty save and 2 or 3 other cracking saves. Felt sorry for Jack Healy the only threat we had on the park but he can’t do it all himself. We missed Balde today but I said at halftime we would need to score 3 to get a draw as you knew our defence was never going to not concede in the 2nd half. McDonald will know that major defensive surgery is needed in January if it doesn’t happen I would fear the worst for our league status. Our home record is abysmal and if that doesn’t improve in the next fortnight we will be in a very precarious position.
  18. Getting on for 5 weeks now since Crawford informed the board he was moving on. Greig McDonald and his team have overseen 2 victories and 2 defeats. Board certainly taking some time to get new manager in place, however they will know how important this decision is for the club. Only real rumour is a toss up between Gary Naysmith and Greig McDonald. Players making all the right noises that they are enjoying their football under McDonald and his team. Will the board rip up the continuity and gamble with a new management team. It’s going to be a tough choice but surely someone will arrive at a decision soon.
  19. That result certainly gives us a bit of breathing space from the bottom of the table. Incidentally that was exactly the same starting 11 that beat Forfar earlier in the season. A bit more balance to the team with natural width in Schivonnie and Balde. Also two battling central midfield players. That’s 5 games unbeaten on the road now with 3 wins. That’s a marked improvement from the last 2 seasons.
  20. Even this early in the season this falls into the cannot lose category. After what I witnessed last week I can’t see how that is possible. I was really hoping we would have a new manager in place but it doesn’t seem the board are in any hurry. One thing our caretaker manager will need to come up with is a different strategy than last weeks shambles. Seems we can’t compete physically and lose every 2nd ball . We really should try and bolster the midfield with some physicality and at least compete and let the opposition know they aren’t going to get it all there own way. Big question mark over the two full backs as they have been miles off what’s needed for weeks. In the earlier game I this season there wasn’t much between the teams but i think we have regressed since then. Our only glimmer of hope is on the road we have picked up significantly more points than at Bayview. One thing il can assure our caretaker management team is you won’t get out this league playing pretty football and the sooner they realise that you need to compete physically or you can forget it.
  21. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if they give Greig McDonald the job as it is the cheap option. The current direction the board are taking the club has to be questioned we are in free fall. Any fan who witnessed that yesterday must have very grave concerns regarding our long term league status. We only have Kieran Miller and Connor McManus out who have any real experience at this level. There was a gap of 30 yards between a lone striker and his nearest midfield player for long spells in that game yesterday, if that’s an attacking line up god help us if we get negative. The opposition in the last 2 games have been decent for this level with a batch of seasoned professionals and I’m sure Stennie and Stirling Albion will be in the top 4 but they certainly highlighted our weaknesses.
