  1. We’ll have to agree to disagree that’s the beauty of football different opinions. We rode our lick a bit but last game at Dumbarton we were unlucky to leave empty handed with the late winner these things level out over the season.
  2. East Fife defender stands still Dumbarton player runs into East Fife player didn’t even have ball under control think your looking for any excuse to blame on your teams shortcomings
  3. Have to agree with your analysis if that’s a penalty kick we’d be as well packing in and given the game up .
  4. A very rare win for the Fife in post code Dumbarton but very much needed with Clyde and Elgin winning. A good bounce back picking up 4 points in last 2 away games after our horror show against Bonnyrigg. The next trick is to try and find some kind of consistency and pull ourselves away from the relegation threat. Big game next week at home to Clyde victory would move us 11 points clear of them.

  10. Everything about the club feels very amateurish from the board right down to what I witnessed on the park at Bonnyrigg last week. We are in downward spiral and have been for around 3 years. The apathy amongst the support is an all time low. We are calling out for change from ownership to board to management. If things keep going like this for another 2 or 3 years there is no doubt that we will end up club 42 it’s just a matter of time. Rankines ownership has been the worst thing to ever happen to the club and change of ownership is a must. Maybe then we’ll get some change and some business professionals in the boardroom.
  11. East Fife playing Glenrothes juniors tomorrow at Warout stadium with a 1 pm kick off bar opens at 12.
  12. 4 2 actually flattered East Fife Bonnyrigg played to their strengths won nearly every 2nd ball and punted the ball in the box to ask the question of our defence . 2nd half East Fife defensively were absolutely abysmal. Page and Murdoch were howling. Not a pitch you can play football on and we never came close to matching Bonnyriggs physical presence. Not many players in black and gold can say they won their battle tonight. Both penalties looked soft from where I was but that was 50 yards away. If we can’t bring in some muscle in January then I’m afraid it’s going to be a long hard season. Fleming let in a howler but he more than made up for it with several cracking saves or it could have been a lot worse.
  13. Very sad news that East Fife legend from the 70s Billy McPhee has passed away today. He made over 230 appearances for the Fife and had some power in his left peg.
  14. How things have changed in the 6 months since that play off semi final game. Clyde looked like they had a fighting chance of staying up but since then things have really fell of a cliff. Great feeling to get back to winning ways and a victory on Tuesday will take us 9 points clear of the dreaded trap door. Still only a third of the way through the season and a lot of footballing twists and turns to come before May.
  15. You won't see Healy today he's suspended for his booking every game, on the plus side Page and Easton fully fit and a ailable
  16. Bonnyrigg 2. Forfar. 1 Clyde. 2 East Fife 2 Dumbarton 2. Elgin. 1 Sranraer. 1. Stennie. 1 Spartans. 2. Peterhead. 1
  17. You would think those East Fife players wanted McDonald to lose his job only Fleming and Trouten get pass marks the other 9 rank rotten. First 3 minutes sum us up golden chance for Mitchell fluffs his lines, Dumbarton then absolutely gifted a goal seconds later we should be 1 up and find ourselves 1 down. That’s where games won and lost in both boxes and we are simply hopeless in those areas. You then have to chase the game which suited Dumbarton and only Alan Flemings saves kept the game a contest. We huffed and puffed in the second half but physicality we just can’t compete. Dumbarton did a professional job and once we gifted them the goal they never looked like giving the lead up. Now I said last week a defeat today and next week against Clyde and the board have a decision to make. I stand by that and you can’t say he’s not been given time. To be honest if you read the East Fife Facebook page all the fans have made up their minds. Players mistakes will cost managers their jobs and we have too many players making mistakes in both boxes and I’m not sure how McDonald changes this. He sure as hell has had plenty time but it’s looking increasingly likely his time is up.
  18. East Fife 2. Dumbarton. 1 Elgin 1. Bonnyrigg 1 Forfar. 2 Clyde. 0 Peterhead. 3 Stranraer. 1 Stennie. 2. Spartans. 2
  19. Going by the East Fife Facebook page nearly all the fans are running out of patience with the way things are going. The board have to be setting some kind of timescale on how long McDonald can be given to show improvement. Personally I’d give him the next two games against Dumbarton and Clyde and another two defeats then it’s time to go down a different road. The results are just simply not good enough 2 league wins all season tells you that. It’s a results business and Greig McDonald has been in football long enough to know that. Most clubs would have pulled the trigger last week after the shocker of a cup defeat but our board are pretty loyal. However surely they must be thinking if these results and sub standard performances don’t change soon then a decision has to be made.
  20. Clyde. 1. Spartans. 3 Dumbarton. 1. Bonnyrigg 1 Forfar. 1. Stenhousemuir 1 Peterhead. 0. East Fife 0 Stranraer. 3. Elgin 1.
  21. The season has been pretty dire fling in last weeks horror show and most fair minded fans would think Greig McDonald has limited time to turn things around. He hasn’t given players in the squad a chance to show what they can do he picks some players every week no matter how bad they have been the game before. On Saturday there has to be changes as those that played last week let everyone at East Fife football club down big time.Only Nathan Austin and Allan Fleming came close to getting pass marks he could drop any of the other 9 that started. Not convinced we can get anything from the game and there will need to be a 100% improvement in effort and attitude. Hopefully the players have had a look in the mirror this week and realise that they are far from Billy big time.
  22. Bonnyrigg. 2. Clyde. 0 East Fife. 1. Stranraer. 1 Spartans. 2. Dumbarton. 1
  23. Bonnyrigg 1 East Fife 1 Clyde. 1. Dumbarton 3 Elgin 0. Stenhousemuir. 2 Forfar. 1. Peterhead. 1 Stranraer 1. Spartans 2
  24. A draw probably a fair outcome over the 90 minutes. East Fife goal the only real bit of quality We produced in 90 minutes. Nathan Austin did well to create the opening and he looked much fitter today. Forfar passed it about well in the middle of the park without any real cutting edge in the first half. The boy on loan from Dundee Utd McLeod was always showing for the ball and everything Forfar did well went through him. For me East Fifes biggest problem is the midfield Brogan Walls was poor and constantly gave the ball away we needed to sign a a midfield general before the window closed but we’ve missed that bus. If Austin gets back to his best he’ll need better service than he got today. 2nd half Forfar stopped playing through their midfield and went more route one but I honestly couldn’t see them scoring . Can’t be to harsh on Fleming he’s been by far our stand out player so far this season. But when you come for a corner you really have to make it. You can see how both teams in the lower half of the league as goals will be hard to come by.We looked shaky defensively in the first half but looked more solid after the break. Forfar looked decent at the back and caught East Fife offside on numerous occasions. Lastly the stand side linesman no point in him being there never assisted the ref once. Ref did ok did his best to keep his cards in his pocket which is unusual these days.
