Arcade Fire were ace at Manchester. Hadn't seen them before and was genuinely a bit emosh at some of the Funeral stuff! They have been playing covers related to the cities they've been playing. We got New Order's "Temptation" last night. The two nights in Dublin saw U2 and Cranberries covers, though bizarrely the Birmingham cover was "Bittersweet Symphony"? Wonder what they'll do in Glasgow?

Had a reverse reaction to the the Win Butler stuff, in that it's actually made me go out and get a ticket for saturday in Manchester. Probably would have passed me by before that!

I see the Darvel manager, Mick Kennedy, like the chairman's tweet on Saturday night, which seems a bit odd for an incumbent Scottish manager. Don't know if he's mates with the chairman or has previous with Swift but it stood out as a funny thing to like for me, wouldn't have thought that'd be the done thing

Rewatched that episode today as well. Opening scene has Gene watching the Saul tapes with the reflection of the screen in colour in his specs. Amazing continuity

Just a subtle return to Gene/Saul being Jimmy again. I was expecting them to go full colour once Jimmy and Kim reconnected with the eye contact in the courtroom after she could see he was finally admitting to his wrong doing. But I'm glad they went with the more subtle fag end, it was always symbolic of the quality time they spent together through the years.

Yeah I enjoyed the role reversal of Oakley becoming the incompetent defence and Saul becoming the powerful state prosecutor almost. Ultimately Saul Goodman was proven to be the best lawyer, the only one who could send himself down for any length of time, everyone else let Slippin' Jimmy talk himself out of things again!

The polar opposite way that Walt and Mike reacted to the time machine question also. Mike was almost warm, smiled, enjoyed the question, answered it earnestly. Walter couldn't help being an absolute dick about it

On WW, his scene in the finale just nailed down what an absolute c**t he is. Dismissive, arrogant, wouldn't even change things to save his family pain....and the last comment about Jimmy "never changing" was just so insightless in the extreme. It's him that's gone too far and would never change, Jimmy did in the end even when Walt and Chuck were throwing that accusation around at him.

Think the ending was perfect. Everything was earned, nothing was just wrap written for the sake of it. Everyone is where they should/deserve to be. Looking at the triumvirate of Walt, Jesse & Saul....dead, free, jailed. Each had the most appropriate ending
