  1. I mean when was the last time we had someone we thought might even come close? It's like the wummins 800m that record!
  2. Can John McGinn become all-time Scotland goalscorer? Halfway there now
  3. Are Sky on a delay here?? Just had a UEFA notification on that goal the exact moment it went in!
  4. Sounds prime rando to me mate. Get it on the thread!
  5. Michael Gira next up for me, Swans man doing solo thing. Support has been announced since i last looked and it's Kristof Hahn, Swans man doing solo thing!
  6. View from the last two. Lower Bullens against Palace...
  7. 3 points on Saturday a must now...long, long 6 weeks of inaction if Everton are sitting in the bottom 3 come the WC break. Which could happen if results go the wrong way
  8. Manchester Utd Women 1-3 Chelsea Women Top of the table clash between the early pace-setters and last year's champions. United hadn't conceded a goal after 5 games this season in the WSL, but Chelsea are different gravy at this level and put them to the sword in front of a record crowd for a the United Women at Leigh Sports Village of over 6,000. First time at Leigh and it's a lovely little stadium. 12,000 capacity and hosts the women and as well as Man Utd Academy teams and Leigh Leopards (recently renamed from Centurions) in the RL Super League. The infrastructure into the Leigh itself and the stadium leaves a lot to be desired though. Missed the first 20 mins after being stuck in masses of traffic on the one country road into Leigh and then had to park at a retail park about a mile away from the ground as the official stadium parking was full by the time I got there. Seemed there was plenty in the same boat
  9. Was it also during an open-challenge? Didn't watch just been listening to a mate ranting!
  10. Almost certainly so, sorry didn't come across on my post but i believe that is simply the "reasoning" they are hiding behind! As an aside, i see that they want to take England to a game in London (the Emirates semi), but surely for gates they'd have been better of doing AUS-NZ in London where presumably they would get a decent crowd through ex-pats and having the ENG-SAM game at Elland Road? Reckon you could get close to two full houses that way round
  11. Yeah I don't agree with that, two teams who've played in the group should be on opposite sides of the bracket until the final. It was done so that the group with the 1st seed would play the group with the 4th, and 2 v 3. Good idea in theory but the problem with that is there are not enough international RL games to have a decent system where the best team is the top seed! NZ are 1 and Australia inexplicably 4, so that's why they were destined to meet. Tonga and England being 2 and 3. So that's why Samoa are meeting England again, having nicked Tonga's path
  12. "Good c***s at the side of the road" thread for this pish
  13. Managed along to a few games of this. Tonga 32-6 Wales @ St Helens Papua New Guinea 32-16 Cook Islands @ Warrington Australia 66-6 Italy @ St Helens Off to the QF in Warrington between Tonga and Samoa tomorrow which looks like it'll be a cracker. Sadly that'll be the last one for me. Have tickets for the final but looks like they are going to end up as generous donations to my in-laws as the wife has booked us to some bint from her works wedding on the same day. Bloody woman!
  14. Something not adding up here. He's on a light training schedule yet unlikely to be able to play before May?? Could fracture something tomorrow and be back by then!
  15. Did anyone go to Kendrick Lamar at the Hydro last night? I'm going tonight in Leeds and wondering about stage times, set length etc.
  16. Been on here since 2017 as well internet archive
  17. For the Futbology users: has anyone found a way round this scenario?.... I have manually added a few grounds over the years, public parks etc where I've seen amatuer games. The only one I haven't been able to add is the astro at McDiarmid Park. The app says it is too close to an existing ground and won't allow it. It's the only ground I've been at that I haven't got on my list! Added the match in question (a Saints-Rangers Academy game) to McDiarmid instead but it's always bugged me, completist as I am!
  18. Talk of it being 2024 before we see anymore
  19. Was such a well done program, the performances particularly from the presenting team were excellent (Parky, Charles, Greene & Smith). The continuity on it is spot on, just so accurate as a OB of the time. Love the way it plateaus to a fake anti-climax midway through when you think..."ah something nearly happened then but it's ok....load of old nonsense" before it goes apocalyptic at at the real climax. Genuinely creepy and absolute best of telly Thanks for the upload OP, do you know it actually has a Blu-ray release now!
  20. This new BBC Free Thinking piece on it is excellent... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001d6bj Also good is this TV Cream podcast from a few years ago... https://soundcloud.com/tv-cream/ghostwatch?utm_source=clipboard&utm_campaign=wtshare&utm_medium=widget&utm_content=https%3A%2F%2Fsoundcloud.com%2Ftv-cream%2Fghostwatch
  21. Anyone know why Leicester's Belgian players didn't wear poppies on the shirt? There was three I noticed didn't have them printed on and thought it was just a kitman oversight, and then I realised it was all the Belgians. Tielemans, Faes and Castagne. Seems too coincidental to not be a factor but I haven't been able to find any reference to it anywhere. Not arsed politically, just interested. Not a James McClean style witch hunt! Edit: Without doing a full Belgian audit on all the other games, I did notice KDB was happy to wear one for City in the same game
  22. Danny Murphy could legit be a Lawrenson tribute act
  23. My memory is that both final group games were definitely shown live, unless some trick of time is having us all? I'm absolutely certain i watched Scotland - CIS live
  24. So they get swirled by the SFA official to begin with then the guests swirl them around ahead of each next grab then? Exemplary technique if you ask me
