  1. Probably a fifer on the wind up. Robbie Neilson, an experienced midfielder and a striker would be nice though Or put a new contract on the table for Sir Lyle of Taylor
  2. 75K is far too much for their shower of diddies Great news, if Bradford could just forward us a slice of their League Cup Final cheque that would be magic
  3. Neilson would be a great signing, him and McGeever should be the first choice at CB. Flynn as back up. I just don't see the point in playing Dods when he won't be here next season.
  4. I'm sure Leahy was on the bench a few weeks ago. He was totally out of his depth at Raith Rovers (despite scoring the goal) the last time I saw him play. Definitely a player for next season. I see the Hamilton game is all ticket. 2,200 behind the goal plus 500 in the gazibo should be enough to house the mass Bairns support
  5. Hopefully we can get some decent cash for him in the summer/next January and Pressley can pull another top quality striker out the hat then
  6. I'm happy our game won't be on TV. It means it will be on a Saturday. With a 3:00pm kick off. Fans that want to see the game will actually have to get off their armchairs and come along to the ground to watch it. You can stick your £80K up your arse.
  7. Given we are playing the winners of the Dunfermline vs Hamilton tie in the QF, how much money have Dunfermline cost themselves, and us, by getting knocked out?
  8. Indeed, and lets not forget the resultant European jaunt next season
  9. No idea what has happened to Weatherston. (I think) He was playing 90 mins in the reserves when Higgins was only getting 50 minutes a few weeks ago as both came back from their respective injuries. Maybe he has re-aggravated it? He has been in the treatment room too often and too long since he signed for the club IMO.
  10. Get Smith punted back to Ayr. McGeever is a more than adequate back-up
  11. Interesting to see Leahy and Taylor given two year deals. If only we could have done the same with Farid...
  12. Smart kits. Simple design. Great to see the return of red socks too, well done FFC! Border round the crest looks horrible though, hope it is gone next season. Also agree that the sponsor on the away kit should be black/navy blue, maybe FFC can take a marker pen to it?
  13. We were always going to lose Farid and Millar to bigger things Fulton will be a great replacement for Millar next season, we just need to find a goal scorer, no many of them around though
  14. Just Gibson, McGovern, Millar and Farid to tie down now
  15. That was quite possibly the worst half time show I've seen in my life. The six players out of contract at the end of the season are: McGovern - 50/50 chance of staying IMO Dods - Will resign Millar - Away to better things Gibson - Will resign Weatherston - Will resign Farid - Away to better things
  16. The leages been done IMO since their 94th minute equaliser against us on Boxing Day...
  17. We are Falkirk. We'll do what we want. ......................McGovern Duffie......Dods.......Wallace......Scobbie ........Fulton......Millar........Murdoch ........................Gibson .Weatherston/White...Farid I'd like to see us go for a 4-3-1-2, as I think it plays to our players strengths. The full backs get better support going forward, the central midfield three can all pass and play in the middle of the park, and provide better protection for the defense. Farid gets better service and every header he wins is at least competed for (when playing 4-5-1 so many of his headers are wasted) If we play with Weatherston and Farid, he is looking for Farid's flick ons and use his pace to run in behind. If we play with White and Farid, he is looking to get on to Farids knock-downs, hold the ball up and bring the others around him in to play. If we are struggling, just put Bennett and Dods up front...simples
  18. Great news on Gibson signing On a side note Millar is going far, far bigger places than St Mirren. So is Farid. Jobby, you don't half talk...well...shite
  19. There is a great interview on FalkirkTV with Andy Thompson explaining the ins and outs of the Elton gig. Looks like the club could stand to make a decent ammount of money from it Shame the business brain of George Craig never thought of something like this when he was at the helm.
  20. I certainly wouldn't call it a "Profit". However, the money wasn't in the budget so the extra cash is nice, I'd call it a bonus rather than profit. This is money that as soon as we got it, it went to pay off soft loans to the BoD. If we hadn't made the extra money, we'd still owe it. So whether we came into the extra cash or not, we'd still have the exact same playing bugdet. You ask where our debt has come from? You are certainly right when you say it hasn't come from this season. Our crowds are well down this season, but then so is our playing budget. This "debt" came from Hughes' last season in charge. More was run up last season with us paying SPL wages infront of an average gate of just 4,200. We had to win the league paying those kinds of salaries. We didn't. That's why we have so many teeenagers in our squad. Paying off this debt will certainly reduce our overall profit. It was the same for Dundee Utd etc with sale of the likes of Goodwillie. I don't think a single penny made it to DUFC as it was gone as soon as it came in. However, it means that next season we will be in a much stronger financial position.
  21. All the best Kallum - worked really hard at Falkirk to improve to be the player he is now Deserves his move and good luck at Huddersfield
  22. Falkirk average home attendance: 3365. Highest: 4383 Morton average home attendance: 1993. Highest: 2621, against?...Falkirk. We had a great support there that day. Then again, Morton rely on clubs like us to survive. Anyone got one of our match programmes handy with the number of Morton supporters at our stadium? I'm sure it was less than 300...
