  1. So average in general that we played more than half the game against the clear league leaders with 10 men, took the lead and could / should have won it at the last. Sit doon.
  2. They'll surely be back for the derby though? By all accounts a much improved performance against Killie and you didn't play badly against us last time. Or are spirits, happy clappers aside, really that low?
  3. Dick Campbell post match saying Ross Matthews missed the header for our 2nd goal and the ball goes in from the cross. Get the hair oot your eyes Dick.
  4. I didn't mean there was any subterfuge or anything untoward. More that we pre-signed a noted goalscorer, albeit not in top form at time of signing, and after failing to get fit enough to play in our league, now looks to be doing the same in a lower one. JMcG has proven he knows a player when he sees one, so I'm just wondering where it all went wrong with this one.
  5. That's not good, is it? If he's a ghost at that level he's pretty much done. The whole signing is a strange tale, and one we'll probably never get to the bottom of.
  6. Ethan Ross is going to be as good a signing as I hoped he'd be. Looked sharp today.
  7. You're probably right about the chariddy thing. Remember there was a campaign for the club to STOP playing it at matches.
  8. We had a re-recording of “Geordie Munro” some years ago, for Reclaim the Rovers, I think. It was Crooked Jack plus some supporters, if memory serves correctly. Awful.
  9. It really should be "an" undercurrent, not "a". Tattie bogle.
  10. If Dykes is the answer we're asking the wrong question.
  11. You and me both. Only realised when my app said teams were announced and warming up! Luckily I'm only a few streets away and game kicked off as I was going through the turnstile. Bloody 1pm ko. Nae need.
  12. How low on options would you need to be to go and watch East Fife out of choice? There must surely be better options, even in the Methil area. They're utter dung.
  13. Excellent post mate. I'm another Raith supporter who has had a chuckle at Grant's delusions from day 1, but the Anelka and more recently Locke debacles are still all too vivid for me. When you can take apart the statement line by line as you have done, your board's contempt for supporters shines through. This all seems bad enough at the moment but it will be resolved at some point in the not too distant. I'd be more worried about the more grandiose plans still waiting to drop, like the academy and training facilities etc, and the culpability of the Germans in the decision making. It surely doesnt bode well.
  14. He was slower than an older man who had played 90+ minutes and 83 minutes more than him. I never thought he was fast but I've seen faster lava flows.
  15. When is the boy Hamilton being unleashed? Or was that just a story to spur Poplatnik into topping off his excellent hold up play etc by pinging in a couple? Sent from my SM-N950F using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  16. Didn't say he wasn't good for us, just that I wasn't a fan and thought him a bit "Billy Bigtime". If he'd screwed the nut he might have got the development he needs, and who better at this level to deliver that than McGlynn and Smith? Sent from my SM-N950F using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  17. Controversially perhaps amongst Raith supporters, I wasn't the biggest fan of Armstrong at the Rovers. I didn't think he was nearly as good as he did and that his decision making and set pieces were pretty poor (a couple of notable exceptions apart). He left us once, couldn't get a game and we took him back. Left us again and is sitting on the bench again. To see him freshly on the park getting left for dead by that beast of a run by Tumilty was pleasing. He looks to have put on weight, or else was towing a huge invisible one. And then there's Murray. Pumped by the Rovers as a Par and pumped again at Killie. He must be fed up playing his old team. And what a team they are. Sent from my SM-N950F using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  18. It was Murray. He must hate playing the Rovers. Sent from my SM-N950F using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  19. I was there. In those days we travelled by minibus driven by a guy nicknamed Caveman, so called because he looked like the drawings of neanderthal man you see in science texts. I was also there when Davie Sinclair played in goal and we surprisingly got thrashed. Halcyon days. Hamish Hamish, swing on the bar... Sent from my SM-N950F using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  20. Helluva story mate. Sent from my SM-N950F using Pie and Bovril mobile app
