  1. Are you washing your dishes in a bath! Hot water tap is on for a minute at most when I'm filling the sink
  2. Had to Google that as I genuinely never heard of the place before. Funnily enough the first place was a city in India
  3. Fair fucks granny. Personally I would be keeping a low profile if my team had just been scudded 0-9, ya old c**t!
  4. Blows my mind that there are still tribes out there that have had little to no contact with the outside world
  5. I think that might be the worst piece of trolling that I've ever seen on the internet, ever.
  6. Sabbatical isn't an option on either unfortunately, you either pay the monthly contributions or they stop altogether. Still think the government has no option but to step in but if they somehow don't....
  7. It's kind of funny looking back at the start of the thread. Christ, even I was boasting on how I could afford the increase if I was just to cut back on a few 'luxuries'. Now? If the government doesn't step in I'm kind of fucked! I'm seriously looking at cancelling my life insurance and pension just to make the payments I'm expected to make to the energy supplier, not to mention everything else that's rocketing up in price. It's going to be a grim few years for the vast majority of us I fear.
  8. I'm currently sticking tin foil down the back of the radiators to reflect heat back into the rooms
  9. Those corners were something else! Was really weird to watch, it was like he couldn't get any kind of movement on the ball whatsoever. Watching the ball it was completely static in the air, absolutely no spin on it!
  10. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/aug/21/gps-could-prescribe-money-off-energy-bills-under-treasury-plan Isn't going to happen but it just shows how fucking stupid this government is. I mean, who the f**k comes up with something like this?
  11. I was a kid watching the pars in the old division two. Saw them go up successive divisions. I was a teenager bouncing amongst the idiots in the cage against Ardrie and falkirk in the early 90"s, absolutely loved it! I was a season ticket holder during Jimmy Callderwood, David Hay and Stephen Kenny. Took a hiatus due to life and having children. Kind of switched off football until this season. Managed two games this year, Alloa and today at Kelty. Missed being at the games but by Christ we are shite!
  12. Yip, there's no way these prices are sustainable. We're witnessing the utter breakdown of UK energy in real time. It's a fucking shambles!
  13. Do the energy companies estimate your usage based on prior usage? I assume they do. If so then this winter I'll be using a lot less than last as I was stuck in the flat due to being in lockdown. Will still be paying a ridiculous amount if nothing is done by the government but might not be quiet as much as the energy company is quoting.
  14. It's getting to the point where there is no option other than the government getting involved and setting a price cap, not only for residential users but businesses as well. The economy is going to be absolutely decimated if they don't
  15. You're a connoisseur of the gutty I see. A must have when growing up in the 80's. The Rolls Royce of guttys if you will
  16. This was a gutty when I was growing up. Fucking lethal bit of kit in the right hands.
  17. These prices for the winter and beyond are utterly mind blowing. Millions of people, including myself, are simply going to be unable to pay. Worst case scenario for me will be going into arrears and paying it off through monthly direct debit. Those on top up meters will not have that option and are going to be without electric and gas for days on end. If nothing is done I can honestly see mass demonstrations/civil unrest kicking off
  18. Remember it well, Marc Smith ran himself into the ground that day. I'm sure Leishman said after the match that Smith collapsed in the dressing room after the whistle
  19. Tay bridge travelling South towards Fife. The amount of utter morons who appear to think that you have to hog the outside lane in order to go straight on at the roundabout when leaving the bridge is utterly astounding. I know you're not supposed too but I've lost count how many times I've undertaking these c***s because they're usually going at 40mph or below
  20. Sure I heard Martin Lewis reporting that there are now several petitions advocating complete non payment of energy bills, along the same line as the resistance against the poll tax. Idea being that if enough people take part (talking millions) the energy companies/government will be forced to take more radical steps to reduce costs as there will simply be to many people to prosecute and/or shut off supply. Have doubts that enough people would voluntarily sign up to such action but it's completely possible that millions will not pay simply because they can't
