Some semi-substantial rumours doing the rounds (from usually pretty reliable sources) that Nathan McGinley is joining Clyde. I saw somewhere he’s completing a law degree or something so part-time may suit him. Plus we have a bit of cash this window so it’s not as unthinkable as it may once have been. I understand his spell at Motherwell has been pretty unsuccessful but given we’re propping up the SPFL and anybody else we’ve played at left-back has been beyond hopeless, what are the odds he’d look passable at League 2? He’s certainly of a better pedigree, on paper at least, than most other options available to us at this stage.

Convince the rest of the stag do to come along - the bigger Clyde support the better!

Once Jasu Rely and K. Thacker are in I’d be eyeing up that last play-off spot, never mind just staying up!

Heard some talk on Friday night that has made me feel a bit better about things (some of which aligns nicely with the_bully_wee’s). Here’s hoping we can throw a JAmboree to celebrate our new arrivals we’ll SURELY see soon!

Content enough with that tonight. Missing three of our better players in Leitch, Hamilton and Cuddihy due to injury/being cup-tied we competed well enough with the players we had out there. We didn’t always use the ball terribly well but in the second half there were a few times where we’d actually passed through Aberdeen’s press before picking the wrong option which is where we really missed Cuddihy and Leitch the most. We had to do a lot of defending and did most of it pretty well, limiting Aberdeen to few clear chances. Two great finishes for the Aberdeen goals and Young’s effort was really unlucky too. We didn’t have an awful lot further up the pitch (not for the first time this season) and a striker is a position I believe we’re trying to strengthen in but it’s always going to be difficult in a game like tonight. The most important things are we avoided injuries to key players, put in a decent performance and have some of the red and white Pound in the bank.

Aye we were semi-competitive up until the goal but the last bit of the half we barely touched the ball. Not unexpected given the team we have out and I’m not too disheartened by that. At least it was Carswell who went off and not Howie.

A semi-competitive performance and no injuries is all I ask.

A ten-minute cameo for Williamson puts that idea to rest unfortunately.

This has been an abysmal window so far. I know the club can only do so much to attract players but this is getting a bit silly. We went from “we’ll bring in 3, that’ll grow to 6, that’ll grow to 9” (that I fully bought into) to we’ll bring in 3 and everyone else will knock us back. Really disappointing stuff so far and it makes you wonder if we’ve been particularly realistic when identifying targets. Very frustrating and concerning.

Glad we’re in for Duffy but disappointed to hear Peterhead are too. Given he’s played up there before, their league position against ours, and our general inability to complete the signings we’ve wanted thus far, it has me sure he’ll go to Peterhead. Hopefully I’ll be proven wrong!

I’d be very pleased with the Hockey Centre if it were possible.

Flynn Duffy would be my uneducated guess. Left-back who’s had loan spells at Peterhead and latterly Stirling.

We’ve only brought in three! Hoping to bring in about seven in total this window but it doesn’t seem like that’ll happen the longer the month goes on…
