Lot of pressure on his first afternoon out at home. I agree it is better to have someone in the seat however we lose it’s unthinkable.
This is a massive game for us, a big day for Gretna players but they have nothing to lose. It’s Hawick all over. We really need a win to get the season going, a loss and no cup money. We hope and pray it’s a winning start. Think I’ll save the board backslapping until it’s job done.0 -
Got to be Rod, he’s had some of the fittest by far

It has to come back to the shambles that is the board. What exactly the chairman and his cohorts have brought to this club defies me. All that crap about Lenny being the man...what a crock. RH never stood a chance. I said he would walk and he has. Shame on us

Anything interesting from the talk-in?

Had similar feelings.BTU. The idea is very nice, had the season been jogging along. But right now,we need a lift on the park. We are shipping three goals a game and have scored 1 goal at home,am I right? A bit like a decent player,it’s all in the timing

Bit of caution my friend, they still scored three against our porous defence. Including one from the other end of Coatbridge

I wouldn’t be at all shocked if Robbie got fed up and walked tbh. He’s had no help whatsoever from the running joke that is the board, and could walk back into a decent junior outfit with his name intact. The truth is the level even in these leagues is way above junior. The set ups are getting closer but you still need to be at the races in the second division.
The board is the thing. Or rather, not the real thing. Who brings in finance at Berwick? Who truly actually puts money into our club.
Someone answer me that.
Robbie must pull his hair out, because he gets it. He cares. If the directors actually did some serious work to support him, instead propping up the bar at away matches,we may actually be taken seriously.4 -
Apparently he was hopeless. Only 317 bothering to turn up to his ‘debut’

Which 2 are you after now? Far too many directors for a Club this size anyway. Jeez a part-time club with small income hardly needs a board with that many ‘directors’. That’s how factions start

Would be the first thing he’s done in a while

Strap yourselves in

Let’s put local loyalties to the side for a moment. I really don’t want to hear some of the muck that gets flung about.
The Directors need to buck their ideas up, clearly. Not one of them is putting serious money into the club. That’s obvious. This is not a free ride gentlemen. Like everything, you get out what you put in.
Clubs like Brechin,Stranraer and now Annan are making our club look prehistoric. Those places are the same sort of size and crowd as us and yet all are driving to improve and steadily maintain League profile.
How can they do it and we never can? I am probably peeing off the royal bridge but where is the vision and desire?3 -
2-0 v CSS much more like it. Right sort of oppo and a wee lift before it all begins.

Are we just cannon fodder or what?!! According to both Hibs,Alloa & SJFC we are a poor league 2 side. So what’s the point? Might as well play teams of our ability to get a bit of team cohesion rather than demoralising humpings from teams fitter, stronger and technically better. Only bonus was a good crowd v hibs. Thoughts?

Can’t really understand the ‘director of football’ bit myself. Nor the rattling of the board without warning or explanation. Need someone upstairs who is going to splash some cash on the playing squad not just be content raising the drinks cabinet at the first opportunity. None of the current board seem to have the wherewithal to pump a few squid in. The point above of making a couple of grand( when the points are secured) sums it up. We need the money for players now. Step it up

Group F it is, with the Accies, Livingston, Airdrie, and Annan.
Not a horrible draw all things considered, even if we run into two Prem teams. Interesting to see how the match v. Livi will play out
Yeh,bearing in mind who will be in the boardroom0 -
Very good, let’s have some firepower Robbie

Doesn’t mean to say the Berwick fans agree

This is far more fun than watching the actual team at the minute.
Am looking forward to reading the Xmas day post already. Having tried, and probably failed to enjoy my in-laws mirth making and gluten packed feast I will be seeking solace in our mutual attempt at world peace and love.1 -
Best thread on here in some time..Open this before I go for my Ferrero Rocher Calendar in the morning[emoji38]#feelthelove

As a Scotland fan, it is great to see Ross McCrorie break through and do so well in your first-team. I conducted an interview last week with his brother, Robby, and he is also doing well, albeit it at a lower level;

Anyone heading to Berwick Wednesday for Big Steve Notmans testimonial?! McRorie should play a part0 -
Congrats. Now go easy in a fortnight...[emoji106]

Best wishes from Berwick supporters and I'm sure football fans all over the world boys. We had a great few games in the seventies when we had players and managers serve us both. Some of my earliest games were between our sides, and East end park a Scottish institution.
Money is the blight on our game. Good luck.

Having not been around the town for a while,it’s always good to see folk proudly wearing a BRFC scarf. Starved of success we have a support there that needs to be attracted back.
Have just been able to absorb some of what went on yesterday. Breathless at times. We sometimes just need to be cannier and more composed. But the signs are definitely there.
The unity between players and bench when we scored the third goal yesterday was immense. Hope this all bodes well for the season ahead.
