  1. Great credit to the 5 over 21's who played last night.I thought that Messrs Fleming,McManus,Trouten,Shepherd, and Stewart Murdoch were all magnificent. In recent games both Slattery and Pagey have contributed massively. I have seen EF play a lot better than last night but onwards and upwards.
  2. Result was OK , performance less so.Defence especially Fleming won the point today.Game over ,move on to Elgin at home on Friday.
  3. Stenhousemuir were well on top both in midfield and defence in the first half. For all this superiority, they were totally abject in forward positions.Fleming had no saves whatsoever to make first half. From an EF perspective, the midfield and forwards were similarly abject in the first half.Only the back 4,brilliantly marshalled by Page kept EF in the match. Second half, midfield got into the game with the wide players starting to run at full backs.Personally I thought that EF forwards were over elaborate in the build up and on occasions should have got more shots away as opposed to a wayward pass. Not sure what happened to Stenhousemuir, especially midfield, but their stamina levels seemed to drop drastically second half. Say this every week but EF started with 7 players aged 21 or under and brought on 2 teenagers as second half subs. These players are a credit to the club and their families. For me Pagey was the most consistent EF player on the day.
  4. Many congratulations to Lee and Scott for their achievement in securing a partnership deal with MGM Timber.
  5. Glory Days of Gold podcast on YouTube tonight 8pm.Guests will be Kenny Deuchar and Eugene Clarke who will be talking about community buy-out.
  6. Only 7 under 21;s today in the starting line-up. Keep it going guys. You are doing yourselves and the club proud.
  7. By way of interest, the Fixed Assets of Bayview Fife LTD are shown in their annual accounts as being 301.800 GBP.
  8. There now appears to be a desire from Bayview Fife to sell their/his shareholding in EF . ie 102,768 shares out of Total Shares of 195,572. Bayview Fife hold 52.55% of shares. ie the land within the perimeter wall and the first 30 yards (quoted Eugene) outwith the ground. That is what Bayview Fife wishes to sell. It is NOT the land between the 30yards and what used to be the fence at the former Power Station. The days of individual owners owning clubs and hoping to make mega bucks from their ownership are long gone-certainly in Scotland. eg St Johnstone, Dundee, and Dundee United are currently up for sale. Community ownership is the way forward with clubs like Stirling Albion now being fan owned. Moreover the fans consortium would have access to funds from the Scottish Government by way of a loan which would require to be repaid. It should be pointed out the price which Bayview Fife wishes is NOT KNOWN. There would have to be negotiations between both parties. I would guess that there may have been approx. 100 people attending the meeting .Certainly the majority appeared to be fans although there may well have been members of the Community in attendance. The majority view , in my opinion, was to proceed with discussions. There were forms available to all attendees asking questions like eg 1.would you like to be considered as a future board member to join the committee bringing any skills you have 2.would you be willing to support the take-over by way of monthly contribution or perhaps ad-hoc 1 off payments or both. 3.help with fundraising 4. being involved in negotiations with the current owner. Apparently the average monthly amount pledged by fans of other clubs was 25GBP. Some paid 1 GBP whilst others paid more. Someone from Partick Thistle eg pays 50000GBP per year. Again no money was mentioned by way of the amount Bayview Fife wants or indeed the monthly amount which individual fans could offer. Irrespective of the amount pledged each fan would have the same voting rights ie 1 vote. EF Supporters Trust is to communicate with members in the next few days presumably asking -do you wish negotiatios to commence?
  9. Just a reminder about the Meeting to be held tomorrow at Fife Renewables ie7pm Thursday 9 February 2023. "the purpose is to consider how fans and the local community can be more involved in the club and to consider options for community ownership."
  10. Certainly not as a defender.As a wingback-passable.
  11. Whilst there are legitimate concerns at all levels within the club -player quality, manager quality , and BOD quality ,the one level within the structure of EFFC which does not seem to get mentioned at any length is ownership quality ie the principal shareholder -a person who has "owned" the club for 20 years and has yet to put 1 penny into either ground improvement or the daily running of the club. Various parties have asked for a meeting to discuss this situation. The fact that the local community is to be more involved might lead to a more productive outcome than previous efforts from the BOD and EFST. Might be worth going alone. The meeting will be to discuss the future of East Fife FC and will be held on February 9th 2023 at 19.00 at the Fife Renewables Innovation Centre, Harbour View, (across from Bayview) The purpose is to consider how fans and the local community can be more involved in the club and to consider options for community ownership.
  12. Highlights now up on EFTV. Looked good especially first half.
  13. Greig Mc Donald should be judged on who he brings in during the window. ( By the way , how nonsensical is it to be able to bring in players only during a 31 day period in January. Why not revert to anyone, anytime?) The Chairman has released a Statement in which he appreciates the ramifications of the club finishing bottom the league. Consequently , it is up to the BoD to find resources to support the manager. It was the BoD which after all, set the guidelines of going for younger players. There are a few whispers concerning a former player returning as Player Manager, a former loanee returning, and a current player attracting the attention of a Premier club. The BOD get a lot of flack , some of it justified, especially in the last 15 months for some of their decision making. No one however can dispute their commitment to the club. As fans , we all moan about Managers , players, and the BOD. No one seems to criticize the owner. He has owned the club for 20 years, has never put a penny into the day to day running of the club, and has asset stripped the club with regard to the sale of the club. The club will never progress until he is gone.
  14. Laudable as it is for the club to reduce admission prices for the game v Bonnyrigg , cannot help but feel that the club has scored an own goal by moving this particular match from 2 January 2023.
  15. Congratulations to Jude Smith on being chosen for the Scotland Under 21 squad for their next game v Iceland.
  16. Just to advise any supporters coming to the game on Saturday v Elgin city from either the East Neuk or Cupar direction that there are a few road works in Leven. Firstly there are 3 way traffic lights at the top of Scoonie Brae affecting traffic from Lundin Links and also Cupar. Secondly there are traffic lights outside Lidl in Leven and thirdly the traffic lights are still in operation at the Bawbee brig.
  17. Not sure what experience Kev has , to be honest. What is apparent is that the players are performing under Greigs stewardship. Ultimately up to the BOD but in my opinion there has got to be a degree of continuity involving Greig.Whether that involves Grieg as Manager or Assistant Manager is up to the BOD.
  18. EF had 13 players aged under 20 either playing or on the bench v Arbroath. The team needs experienced players at the moment and not more youngsters
  19. Answer = YES. £2.50 per programme. Programme sellers will be at or near the turnstiles.
