Genuinely feel bad for Moore. He's had an absolutely torrid time of it, after being in charge of our best finish post-admin. Hope he finds his feet again (although his sacking is understandable, obviously)

Really important stuff about Rae in there, saying that there're problems at Morton that will always be there as long as Dougie's in charge. Comes across like a very balanced guy.

They've maybe gone a bit far on that topic, but if you're genuinely annoyed/disgusted/whatever by people wanting to buy merchandise... you're just a bit warped yourself. Live and let live, and all that.

Optimism is fine - over-confidence, far-reaching predictions and so forth aren't. It's going to be an interesting season, but that victory was extremely pleasing regardless of what happens. If - IF - we can produce performances similar to that on a regular basis, we should be alright. Maybe.

One poor result doesn't change the fact that this is the best Morton team in many a year. Moore's guided us - via 2 half-time team talks - to victories against the 2 best teams in this league, and has us playing (at times) some of the best football I've seen us play. Whilst today was absolutely appalling, it doesn't fatally damage our challenge for the top - the two wins beforehand have seen to that. This isn't the first or last time we've collapsed after doing the hard work. And if we lose out on promotion, or fall away... at least we lasted a bit longer this year. Back down to earth with a thud.
