  1. For a bit of jeapordy the opposition coach should be able to use some of the equipment from the Gladiator’s Gauntlet event to prevent one or other winning this race.
  2. If Raith Rovers, Partick Thistle and Dunfermline were lifted up along with Dundee United into a larger top league would this not diminish the Championship? Smaller crowds and weaker teams, or are we only interested in the top league?
  3. If Motherwell beat Dundee and Hibs and these teams lose their remaining games what happens?
  4. You could argue that someone coming on to a game in matches 30-33 could be abruptly cut off from the riches of playing the top teams but the target is there from the start of the season. Play everyone 3 times then fight for final places in the last 5 matches.
  5. It is excellent for the bottom six, play everyone 3 times then a five match play off with your peers. It’s never quite as interesting in the top six but the principle is the same.
  6. I found it interesting that the two young boys who were thrown on against Aberdeen didn’t make the squad yesterday. Also when O’Donnell went off we had the option of bringing on Luca Ross who would have played wide right and been a more attacking choice but we opted for Blaney and yet another defensive shuffle.
  7. Yesterday was the first real opportunity for me to get a proper look at Devine. Specifically in the first half I didn’t think he brought much to the table. Constantly rolled the ball back to SODs who got closed down, didn’t seem keen to take his man on. I will look for more in future games. Spittal was off it, he seemed to demand every ball but did little with it, then he started taking throw in, is this a thing? I have I missed this. There were plenty runs being made by the front two which weren’t picked out and eventually Vale and Bair were involved in our goal so job done. Gent looked dangerous all day. I thought Halliday was anonymous and Davor was industrious. We go again.
  8. To be fair they are on target to better our top league points total for the first time since 1989, so St Mirren are on the up, have they peaked?
  9. Ive long thought that our two What Ifs were Dunne’s tackle and Miller failing to avoid the Livingston boy. Biereth had literally played 30 minutes at that point, and the loss to Livi started the ‘run’ in a bad way. This whole year could have been different.
  10. You wouldn’t get this pish with SODs
  11. Who does Soutter play for nowadays, he’s never been good as far as I know
  12. He was at Shrewsbury when they signed Zac Jules after his stint with us.
  13. Fair play to Spittal, just disappointing that these things get disclosed before the season end.
  14. And the easiest to resolve - tannoy announces review, ref moves towards side line, review complete - play on, review requires the ref - ref turns round and he is there. It just annoys me.
  15. Was it Ainsworth that took a ball to the base of the left hand post and had to play round it before knocking it over the line? A tap in but a belter.
  16. To take the delays out the game, the players should just get on with it then the refs can tell them the score on the Monday morning once they have had a good look back over all the incidents.
  17. The thing that actually annoys me most about VAR is that the ref makes no attempt to move towards the TV when a check is underway. On Saturday Collum stood on the other touchline for the last minute decision. It makes their charade of a TV sign more dramatic but lengthens the time for them to start their own review if required. There would be more acceptance of the decisions and the delays if there was consistency, a hand ball in one game is play on in another, a goal awarded for Ross County is a goal denied to Motherwell. If the decisions were consistent people would accept that taking the time to get there was required.
  18. It is strange, he messed about against Celtic and we lost goals, he did the same yesterday and it blunted our attack.
  19. I know but this was an unusual situation where the time had come and gone, he could have acted differently - it wasn’t a penalty
  20. On the Shinnie decision the time was up, Collum should have said I want to see the incident again because it would be him that looked a dick on Sportscene. It wasn’t holding the game up. Then he could come to his own conclusion. I wouldn’t have given a penalty but if he was being consistent then he would have.
