The janny at my school would have put some sawdust down, game on.

I didn’t know it was insulation, I am thinking the top of a cappuccino or a pint of lager.

We could just knock the main stand down, get some portocabins in for offices, create a safe standing space and hire the 100 club for hospitality. Our maintenance costs would shrink. The pitch would get more sunlight. What’s not to like?

I am in the minority but I didn’t really care many years ago when I got moved out the Davie Cooper stand for a better seat in the main stand to allow us to get some money in. Others were outraged. I just hoped my seat would be there the following week.

I seem to remember spending about £200 for what was essentially some vanity shares. It gets me invited to the AGM so I guess I am part of the 28% of private shareholders. I am reminded that we played Dundee in the first game of the season in the height of summer, as I entered through the turnstile I was told to keep a hold of my ticket as this match may be off. I am conflicted, I have a ticket but I also have a bit of a sesh planned for the Friday evening then intend driving north. Could we agree to play it on the Sunday?

If the deal was something like £300,000 a year investment to allow the family (I assume they have a business) to claim to have, say 20% of the club, then I would have no issues with us being used as their bauble to show off to their corporate clients with invites to the big match, get some exposure in the press, an interview with Kenny Mac. They can wax lyrical about owning part of a soccer team in the homeland of ScotchLand. They can do all that for as long as they want then they can f**k off at an agreed buy out cost.

I would be keen to understand their exit strategy, the five year rollercoaster may be fun but if they leave us with players on inflated contracts the drop at the end may be too big for us.

We are putting too much effort into non crucial goals. Does a non crucial goal become crucial if we score another which is in itself an equaliser, which would be crucial?

I applaud your confirmation that Motherwell shouldn’t go down although your point may well be that we are not a big club.

For a bit of jeapordy the opposition coach should be able to use some of the equipment from the Gladiator’s Gauntlet event to prevent one or other winning this race.

If Raith Rovers, Partick Thistle and Dunfermline were lifted up along with Dundee United into a larger top league would this not diminish the Championship? Smaller crowds and weaker teams, or are we only interested in the top league?

If Motherwell beat Dundee and Hibs and these teams lose their remaining games what happens?

You could argue that someone coming on to a game in matches 30-33 could be abruptly cut off from the riches of playing the top teams but the target is there from the start of the season. Play everyone 3 times then fight for final places in the last 5 matches.
