If you've  chosen to work cash in hand to avoid tax and NI, or for non contractual payments, you can hardly complain when the illegal payment isn't made.

    What pish.

Gentlemen’s agreements are often reached between player and club which are mutually beneficial for both parties.

If a situation like covid has came up I’m sure honourable players and clubs will have reached an accord.

Pitch will be re laid by September and stands are ordered while dug out are built along with upgraded changing rooms however we cant install any of this for obvious reasons, well obvious to most.

Gary Harkins is a superb signing on and off the park and im sure will prove any doubters wrong

Photos of the stands that’ve been ordered?

Wasn’t a dig about to you about money was a general dig as I hate when people come on here spouting about clubs spending money. Who cares how much clubs spend and where it comes from. If some people put as much effort into helping their own clubs rather than slaughtering others.

I have my sources on this and you have yours. Money is coming from somewhere to fund the start up.

It has to be. You can’t attract the manager of John M’s calibre without their being substantial financial resources.

This is being further evidenced by the signings that have been announced.

I don’t see how it’s possible to be self sustainable before the senior men’s team have even kicked a ball. You don’t know what all of your playing costs are going to be for a start.

  4. The release of fixtures is a challenging scenario.

If you take into consideration how many teams ground shared in the old west juniors, it surely must be far higher than that of any comparable Sos, LL, HL & Eos leagues.

Perhaps this will be a key consideration for how the 4 new divisions are formed. However, within one season that could all be up in the air and end up with a top division with at least 3 clubs ground sharing as they have no ground of their own, which I find completely unacceptable and ought to be mandated by the new league as an issue which must be addressed.

I think the OP meant to refer to the WRSJFA rather than the SJFA. With the West Region management actively trying to get every club to join the WoSFL, which would effectively shut down the West Region, then it's a legitimate question as to how any money belonging to the West Region SJFA itself should be distributed.

    What does the constitution state?

You seeking photos from any of the other grounds in the area whose games are also off?

    Guys talking tosh.

Lanark has a great park, it’s a shame in winter that the stand side doesn’t get much sun and freezes the park off easily.

    Ok.

maybe I am just a juniors fan who thinks directly competing against televised football and internationals won’t help us attract interest or fans.

    Discuss.

If you are looking to maximise the junior game then there is no feasible argument to not alter the kick off times to 1500.

I reckon between 10/12 grand per season

I think it’s significantly more than that. For example last season Gartcairn signed a player and he was on £95pw, gives you an insight into their firepower. Plus, Shotts and Blantyre were paying nicely too.

Funny you've not told any of Mr Redneck's pals on here to move on.

You persist in calling him a “redneck”, which is a derogatory term, no one else one here has.

Get off your soap box and move on. You’re in no position to be demeaning the man for his behaviour when yours is, quite frankly, just as bad.

Don't think you really get this.

Better hope wee things like what little sponsors we have don't look too close at this.

This isn't personal about some redneck ranting in some Junior ground in the backend of nowhere with 20 people there, it's way beyond that.

Btw, i'm surprised the 21st century cops haven't paid him a visit.

Move on pal. It’s done and Scott is gone.

Of course it was the right decision he had to go language like that is not acceptable especially from someone holding a position like he did.

Unfortunately there are no winners in this issue, the West Region could have handled it better as one of the committee should have addressed it right away as soon as it was said, and then spoke to Mr Robertson after the meeting offering him the chance to resign.  The Robertson haters and that’s what it was didn’t cover themselves in glory either as none of them who attended the meeting said anything at the time, and couldn’t wait to run to the papers with it, some of the language used against him was appalling. Not any better than he used.

Lessons to be learned by all I think

The best post on this thread by a country mile.

Scott had to go, that was very clear. His language was unbecoming of a Secretary of The SJFA West Region & it is further disappointing as he is an ex policeman, who ought to know better.

To the little bitchy delegates who gave the story to the papers; well done. Well done for bringing unnecessary attention to this matter which covers the region, it’s clubs and various individuals in absolute ****.

Maybe you want to resign as well as Scott and go join an OAPs tea party where you can spread as much gossip as you like without there being consequences for football clubs.

Great to see your obsession with the Cairn continues from the TMan days JC 🤫 Remember that one 🤭

For the record and your memory we last parted company with a manger in 2016

Cairn have done no bad since then

Back to back promotions League title 1/4Final of the Scottish all thanks to Davy Jamie and the players that stuck around in 2016 to see it through.

Along with a committee who want to Drive the newest club in the Juniors forward and are not afraid to make the tough and difficult calls.

Stick to chasing 🦊 holes and pushing  The  Cairn You Tube views up it’s much appreciated and keeps the 🤑 rolling in filling the coffers.

That’s fucking embarrassing and it’s under the “official” club name.

    Why ?

Can’t see bigger crowds going on a Friday night rather than a Saturday afternoon. Especially in the winter.

Not as many kids at games (future supporters, players, etc)

Costs must be higher with floodlights, security of opening grounds at night, etc?

    You’re very negative.

Any Friday night junior game I’ve been to has seen far higher crowds, you’re not competing against senior teams or even other juniors so you draw in from a far larger pool of supporters. Contrary to what you say this brings in more kids and brings an even greater connect to the community.

Also, gives the boys a Saturday and Sunday off which is nice for them every now and again.
