Clyde Season 23/24
SouthLanarkshireWhite replied to SLClyde's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
You have to admire Mr Maitland for taking on that job. As an individual some people will see this as a challenge, so his optimism and determination will be tested no doubt. Some people would not get involved in a 'car crash' like the one we are witnessing, me included, as it drains your energy and will to live to see failure after failure. I genuinely hope he makes a success of it, starting with having a League 2 team to govern next year. Best of luck Allan. -

I am trying that approach with Clyde too... -

I was at both games funnily enough. Luton really surprised me at Goodison. Very direct, and Morris was a real handful. Decent outfit on that showing. Sheff U - great day out in the sunshine but two points dropped against a poor team. -

My list of players who need to be released/sold and replaced with better and importantly quicker players (money issues accepted). Gomez, Idrissa Gueye, Coleman, Young, Dele Alli, Godfrey and Keane. -

In which case they deserve to go down. -

3 points against Sheff U or Luton will be enough. Luton have 4 games left so unlikely they will get 9 points from that. -

Agreed. I reckon three points required for safety (assuming no further deductions). Just need Clyde to get their fingers out too. -
On a similar theme they ruined the Masters for me on Sunday - around 6 advert breaks every hour. Just gave up eventually.

Disgraceful. Did anyone actually go and watch Beto before they bought him? Like Bambi on ice. The boy tries but he is not a top level striker. As for the midfield and back 4 - schoolboy stuff. Only silver lining is Branthwaite might play like that for England in Germany, but really can't see where next good news is coming from. Forest are far more of an attacking threat and I think I will read a book when Liverpool come. -

As a golfer I am offended (but not deeply enough to report you to the Police) by that comment and the blatant attempt to introduce a new reason to cause a schism in the Clyde support. -

Nah - you just fancied an argument where one wasn't really necessary. -

In your opinion perhaps. Try not to take things so literally, I'm sure you understood the point I was making, and the reference to a rapist in this thread was frankly uncalled for. -

The last thing you want is fans having a say in the running of your club. Read any Clyde forum to see the carnage that causes. Shareholders in Shell don't assume they know anything about extracting oil from deserts or oceans, everybody thinks they know football. -
Euro 2024 Travel arrangements

That whole area to the east of Munich is very nice. Lots of little local bars/restaurants that are very Bavarian and easy to get into town. -

Apologies if asked and answered already - lots of info floating around. With regard to the free train travel in/around match days if you have a match ticket. Q1 - We are staying in Munich and will want to get the train over to Stuttgart for the Hungary game -does the free travel include a journey of that length or is it only in/around Stuttgart as that is where the game is. Q2 - If it does include Munich to Stuttgart - how do you make a train booking if you have no match ticket until much nearer the time? -
Thanks - will go on their site tonight and have a look. Six of us going, and I know not all of them want to pay £300+, but you only live once.

Does anyone have any idea how reliable that sort of website is - Live Football Tickets? Will they deliver - anyone used them or have any insight? Cheers

Stats all decent again with the exception of the important one. Some glaring misses from Beto, McNeil and what can you say about DCL? Escape, if it comes, will be by the skin of their teeth. -

Will they get taken away again as part of Witch Hunt 2.0?
