  1. So the dispute here is between McDougall the seller and Ford the buyer. They've tried to sort it out between them and haven't been able to, so McDougall ran to the Press. Ford is a Livi Fan who bought the club and used to be a schoolteacher and the new chairman is someone who has experience at the board level of Livingston (so far sounds the same to me) Overall aim is to have a club that is run debt-free and pay the bills on time. The new owner has said that he wants Livingston to be making headlines on the back pages and not the front pages of the newspaper. There is no difference here. McDougall left Cowdenbeath and sued them for consultancy money after he left the club. The money was paid and after a lot of pain (and Cowdenbeath were almost on their knees) the club is now debt-free and hats off to them. On to Livi, we have a new owner coming in, McDougall is out the door, is owed money and is unable to agree something with the new owner and has taken it to the press. The new owner has made 2 offers to McDougall on the repayment and there is no agreement. I as much as any Livi fan would love to see us debt-free and each new owner that comes in promises this to us, I'm hoping that this one delivers.
  2. Oh and Lex Didn't Cowdenbeath not pay McDougall his consultancy fees in 2008 and McDougall sued the "Club that lives within its means" to recover the consultancy fees. I don't see the difference here do you?
  3. Yeah and Cowdenbeath have never been taken to court for a liquidation over an unpaid debt. By your reasoning, your own club should be out of business.
  4. What has that got to do with the price of cheese. That's the SFL who are now defunct not the SFA.
  5. Well that isn't correct. The embargo was placed until we got of Rankine. We got the fine for not making the correct declarations :- Disciplinary Outcome: Livingston FC Wednesday, 01 April 2015The Disciplinary Tribunal convened in accordance with the Judicial Panel Protocol to consider the case involving Livingston Football Club made the following determination Alleged Party in Breach: Livingston Football Club. Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached: Rule 1 – By failing to act towards the Scottish FA with the utmost good faith by not disclosing to the Scottish FA that Neil Rankine, shareholder of Livingston 5 Ltd, the parent company of Livingston FC, also holds interests in East Fife FC; Rule 7 – By providing false, misleading and/or inaccurate information in respect of Neil Rankine’s eligibility as a fit and proper person by declaring in an Amendment to Official Return form, dated 11th November 2013, that there were no matters to be brought to the attention of the Scottish FA in terms of Article 10, nor any interest in any other club in membership of the Scottish FA in terms of Article 13, the truth being that Neil Rankine then held and continues to hold interests in East Fife FC in addition to his shareholding in Livingston FC through Livingston 5 Ltd; Rule 21 - By holding interests in East Fife FC, through Neil Rankine, shareholder of Livingston 5 Ltd, whereby Livingston FC holds power to influence the management or administration of East Fife FC; Rule 86 – Not acting in the best interests of Association Football by not disclosing to the Scottish FA that Neil Rankine, shareholder of Livingston 5 Ltd, also holds interests in East Fife FC. Outcome: All breaches established. The tribunal considered that the imposition of a substantial financial penalty would not be in the best interests of the club or the wider interests of Scottish football. The panel did, nonetheless, require to illustrate the gravity of the breaches and imposed a ‘global sanction’ in respect of the four breaches, which arise out of a set of circumstances. The global sanctions are determined in two parts: 1. Fine of £5000 imposed on Livingston FC. 2. Livingston FC prevented from registering any player, either on loan or permanently, or extending the contract of any player currently registered with the club until such time as the club has resolved the ongoing breach of Disciplinary Rule 21.
  6. Oh behave. The whole embargo was another example of the SFA treating Livi differently to other clubs. The same rule was breached and abused by The Rangers and they never got an embargo. The same rule was breached by East Fife (with the same person) and no punishment was handed out to them, no fine or no embargo. As for it having no affect on us, we've lost 2 first team defenders to other clubs due to being unable to sign them because of the embargo, now I'm not saying that we would have kept these players, but the fact is that these two players left to join another club during the embargo (one of them came through our youth as well). The paperwork needed to lift he embargo was with the SFA on 29th May and the SFA took their sweet time to "investigate" before lifting the embargo. If you think we've not been punished, look at the facts, 1) We've lost 2 players, 2) We're later to the party on the signing of free agents and it means that Burchill has missed out on some potential players that may have signed for us. Is that not enough punishment? or do you believe that we should not be allowed to sign anyone, despite complying with the SFA's ruling and get points deductions and possible extinction for breaching a rule that two other clubs have breached and gotten away with. If so, then you need to take a look at yourself. Oh and by the way 4-0 Challenge Cup Final.
  7. Serious Professional Fraud League will have the first dibs tbh.
  8. I know that's not the rule and we've been done for it and have our punishment. I know he hasn't abused his powers because the SFA investigated it and found that he had not abused his powers. If he had abused his powers, we'd have a points deduction or worse. Don't deflect from the point here. What about The Rangers. What about a guy who has ownership in Newcastle and Rangers and used that ownership to send 5 players on loan (4 of which are injured) with a proviso that if The Rangers are promoted, then Newcastle get half a million. That is not only having ownership in both clubs but abusing it. I bet they get off with it though
  9. Ok, so we've been punished for Rankine's dodginess. Lets get rid of him and get on with things. Next question, now we have our punishment and registration ban, lets see what happens with The Rangers and the "alleged" abuse of the influence of 2 clubs by Mike Ashley. Rankine, as dodgy as he is, hasn't actually abused any of the power that he seemingly has. Ashley has. Lets see if its trully one rule for the big clubs and another for the wee clubs.
  10. From Division 1 which was so close that 1 team finished 9-4, 2 teams finished 8-5 and 5 teams finishing 7-6, 2 of those teams missed out on the playoffs due to tiebreakers including myself. My team collapsed and lost its last 3 games. Coach of the Year:- Reluctant Hero - Who led Bargeddie Broncos to the best record Player of the Year - It has to be Marshawn Lynch for me. In a season where I struggled to find a 2nd running back, Marshawn was outstanding as my RB1 Sleeper - Odell Beckham was a nice waiver pick up for me and put up a few weeks of big points. Bust - Trent Richardson - Sucked worse that a 70 year old hooker with falsers. Match up of the season - Week 12 vs Fairmilehead fury. We had a 35 point lead going into the Monday night game and lost to Justin Forsett scoring 32 points and Eric Decker scoring 8.3 and losing the match by 3 points. Great game.
  11. Cockwomble's quote on this is just funny:- “The tax default and reporting rules are an integral part of maintaining a fair league competition."
  12. I think with better luck we might have had another 5 points at best. However, we have been rank rotten for most of the season and have earned our place near the bottom of the league. The reason we have been rank rotten is McGlynn's insistance in playing hoofball and Jordan White disappearing from games quicker than my wife at payday. If McGlynn can't see this, then he needs to reconsider whether he wants to be a football manager.
  13. 165 points with 4 players on a bye week. Woohoo. To think I was worried about this week .
  14. I hate you with every bone in my body as my opponent has him. Typical. I have Peyton Manning and Antonio Gates though.
  15. What about the 2nd late hit on Locker where he comes flying in with a late hit to the head, very deliberate. That was the one one where Locker injured his hand trying to protect himself. The NFL is a joke.
  16. If you want to stream from your laptop to you TV, do this: Download google chrome. Login to gamepass. Copy and paste this into your browser - http://gamepass.nfl.com/nflgp/console.jsp In the top right hand corner you will see the 'cast' icon. Select your tv or whatever you're running. Job done.
  17. Junkie Welker suspended for 4 games, not good.
  18. I think I did ok. Happy enough with that considering I was picking 11th. Peyton QB RGIII QB Marshawn Lynch RB Trent Richardson RB Bishop Sankey RB Danny Woodhead RB Larry Fitzgerald WR Desean Jackson WR Wes Welker WR Nate Washington WR James Jones WR Antonio Gates TE Jared Cook TE Stephen Gotsgowski K San Francisco 49'ers D
  19. So Hearts get away with not paying their wages for years and we're hit with an embargo over a dispute over unpaid wages from several years ago. I get the feeling that with this and the Neil Rankine complaint, we are getting targeted.
  20. I can't stand Davina McCall. I've no idea why, she just annoys me.
  21. agreed. I've tweeted out to my followers and the Livi website about the forum. Hopefully we'll get a few members and bury the nonsense into the past and reunite the support.
  22. I must have missed that one. Still very interesting to see the picks so far. A ream of WR could go soon and as for those Tight Ends, will someone sneak in Gronk for next season in one of the later picks?
  23. It's interesting to see the draft and strategy so far. The question of who to pick looks to centre around who will make an impact now and for the next 5 years. Guys like Cam Newton and Russel Wilson went later than I thought and I'm shocked that RG3 and Andy Dalton haven't been picked yet.
