Hamilton was arguably our worst away performance of the season, I didn't think we deserved to win it. To be honest, after seeing almost every team this season, I don't think we can fear anyone. Even the Old Firm are there for the taking as we've shown. A wee bit of luck and we'd have a lot more points than we have just now.

I think it shows how poor the game was that we are talking about the refs performance, rather than how either team played. Both teams were dire and I pity anyone having to watch that game again. It was horrible. Neither team played well and the only reason we can be happy with a point is that we spent almost half the game with 10 men. I thought Hickey was lucky to stay on the pitch when he got the yellow in the first half, how anyone could think that Christoph Berra could catch up to Scott Robinson after the rugby tackle is a joke. There was another incident in the second half where Hickey scythed down Jacobs (I think) and should have gotten a yellow for that but I'm probably being biased and have yellow tinted specs. As for the main incident, it definitely should have been a penalty, another rugby tackle on Robinson by keeper this and the ref giving a red card for pulling out of an attempted overhead kick is laughable. Is this the next thing to be outlawed, the overhead kick, sheesh. Both teams were bad and there was only really two clear cut chances, one was a save from Sarkic and the other a clearance off the line from Michael Smith. I will join the Hearts fans in wishing that Levein gets the sack. Hearts used to be an exciting team to watch with attacking fullbacks who supported the wingers, putting in dangerous crosses. Not this dross, where you pump high ball after high ball into Ikpeazu, hoping he gets a free kick outside the box. If I was a Hearts fan, I'd be worried that my team did nothing for 15-20 mins against 10 men. In fact, I would be worried whilst that clown is still in charge.

I don't think our away form is that bad. We spanked Ross County. A penalty miss at the death prevented us getting all 3 points against St Johnstone. We lost 3-1 at Ibrox after going 1-0 up and it took a red card and a disallowed goal before Rangers eventually won. We narrowly lost to an on form Killie, with Bartley hitting the bar. We lost 2-1 to Hamilton, which is probably the only away game we deserved to lose. We've been in all 5 games and have been unlucky not to pick up more than 4 points. If we play like we've done for most of the season, I think we'll do fine. I know I wouldn't want to be a Hibs player facing a Livi team that works its socks off for the whole game, not giving an inch.

I'm not so sure. Hamilton have lost a few players and are no better, St Mirren are a shambles and Ross County are no better than us when we went up.. I think if we can get off to another good start, we could be ok.

One thing with Hoppy is that you'll have the fittest squad in the Championship. Hoppy's teams are all about hard work, winning the ball back and being fitter than the opposition. What an amazing appointment for Morton. I genuinely think you boys will do well next year.

So Livi fans what would you prefer to see. Dundee being relegated this weekend and us celebrating them going down at the Spaghettihad or them surviving for another week only for us to crush them a week on Saturday and send them down. I'm torn.

This reminds me of us (Livingston) four seasons ago. Poor team, Mark Burchill as manager, we went down via the playoffs with Hopkin in charge after he took over just before Christmas. Everyone was calling for his head, the defence was shocking, it was all doom and gloom. The board kept Hopkin on, he built his own team and we ended up in the Premiership. Don't lose hope Falkirk fans, relegation may be blessing in disguise for you, if it happens.

Maybe with Halkett in their defence, we'll only beat them 4-0 next time.

I'd be shocked if Holt got sacked. We were expected to finish last. We're sitting in 9th, 16 points ahead of relegation play off with 10 games to go. A wee push and a bit of luck and we could get top 6. If you asked anyone at the start of the season if they'd take the position we're in just now, they'd bite your hand off for it. I think common sense is needed here. Holt won't be sacked, he's done too good a job for that.

The club has issued a response that states that the club is on a sound business footing. Seems to me that the Day Late Record is making pish up again. Note that the Day Late Record article has a picture of Neil Rankine and "Livingston FC Shareholder" then they mention further down the article "Questioning Lisa-Marie, Moffat told her she had been highly regarded by former majority shareholder Neil Rankine" So Day Late Record, what is he? a current or former shareholder? There is lots more sensationalist rubbish in this article. The Record sensationalises that Livi could go bust after Lisa's lawyer quotes "It doesn’t look good for Livingston and it is not even clear if they can afford to lose the tribunal. If Lisa-Marie wins and the club don’t pay up, she might go for a winding-up order.†It all goes back to Nixon v Rankine and Lisa seems to be another person caught in the crossfire. To say that Livi would go bust due to £7200 is the Tosh expected from the Record coincidentally at the same time that Rangers are trying to get Matthew Knox on the cheap, not that I'm saying that the Record has any agenda here.... Personally, I wish that both Rankine and Nixon would just go away and never return, they are a bad smell that never seems to go away and if Livingston as a club can ever grow again, we need to distance ourselves from people like this. I would like to see the SFA show some bottle here and actually ban Nixon, Rankine and Massone from all football activities. The club is operating on a sound business footing and the focus at the moment is on retaining our Championship status. The Operating Committee and Directors have worked hard to concentrate media attention on football matters, rather than the off field issues which were covered so publically and so damagingly last year. For this reason we have not highlighted the ongoing situation with a former Director. However we can confirm that a court award of £85,000 was made against Gerard Keith Nixon following his failed legal action against Livingston Football Club. This money has so far not been paid.

I never said we were a growing club. We are a declining club at the moment, our fanbase has declined steadily over the last few years. What I was saying was that if the new owner can keep us off the front pages and get us back financially, then he can have a chance to grow the club and a growing club would be a good thing for the area. If the new owner turns out to be a "Walter Mitty", then I think this would be our death knell and the loyal few that are still there would leave (probably including myself)

The original agreement was between McDougall and Livingston FC of which he was the chairman of at the time and was in charge of the overall running of the club (its stated that the agreement was made about 6 months ago with Rankine). The question to Mr McDougall would be why he failed to pay himself the money as the Chairman of Livingston FC. Surely you would look after your own repaynment first? It seems strange that he's complaining about missed payments from the club which he was running at the time the missed payments were made. There is communication there and I hope it is resolved quickly and as club we can get back to football rather than all this off-the-field nonsense.

I would expect so, nothing has been announced though. It did take a CVA and years of debt, before you were debt free and congrats on that.

This combination should ensure that there is a cash reserve to repay creditors; a position the Club has not been in for many years." The previous owners consist of an Irishman who admitted that he spent more than he could earn and wanted out, he sold his share to the mad Italian for a pound who was crazier than half the patients at a mental hospital and seemed to think that most rules didn't apply to him to a betting club owner who had more fingers in pies than Simple Simon. We've been unlucky with owners and we now have a local fan owning the club who wants to remove the debt and have money put aside for creditors. If he can do this, then a growing club in West Lothian without the shenanigans is a good thing for the area. If he turns out to be another Mad Italian or dodgy betting shop owner then it could be the death knell for us and our already dwindling support.

By that definition, an insolvency event would have occurred in 1987. .

I said that a company (namely Glenrothes Construction and Engineering Company) had applied to the courts to put Cowdenbeath into liquidation after an unpaid debt of £9785. The event occurred in 1987 which Cowdenbeath got away with any punishment from the SFA. The clubs accounts were frozen until the petition was resolved.
