  1. Disappointed that local boys have moved on, but neither were good enough. Maybe Miller was unlucky due to our midfield being our strongest point. Think I read that GP talking to extend Morrison's stay. Will Gourley go back to Dundee and McHale be first choice? That would free up a loan player spot.
  2. Easy win and should have been by a few more. That's the second week we took the foot off when against 10 men. McHale should be first choice and likes to throw the ball out. I assume that part of Gourlay's loan is that he plays. Hay was unlucky when he ht the crossbar and ran about a lot, Shane had a poor game by his standards. Omar had a good first half as did Soapy. Good draw for the next round.
  3. I'd imagine he'd be wanting a team closer to home especially with his circumstances. Would that cancel his Rothes loan stint as well?
  4. He was manager of Turriff Utd in the HL for a few years until recently.
  5. Cowdenbeath game rescheduled for Saturday 13th Oct. At least it's not midweek.
  6. Had noticed in the two home games I've managed that the pitch looked sandy with puffs of sand going into the air when tackles were made. Heard on BBC Scotland that they're blaming a Moray drought for the state of the pitch. Agree about the loss of momentum might cost us in the long run.
  7. I see we had a trialist on the bench . Any idea who that was?
  8. Ally Sutherland signed up for another year. Happy enough with that.
  9. Reading Northern Scot article on Beattie, he believes that he'll be our starting CB with A. N, Other. Hmmm! I liked Bronsky and McHardy in those positions. Has Eadie signed on for another season? I'd like to see our back four as Eadie, Bronsky, McHardy and Lowton. Agree about starting Byrne more often.
  10. Declan Byrne signed on for another season
  11. I agree. I got a slating on here last season for my comments about him not being good enough. Does a power of running but not a goal scorer.
  12. Chris McLeish signed for another season. Hopefully he and Shane can play like they did the season before last.
  13. Heard that Dodd not being offered new contract.
  14. Useless information clubs hoarding young talent but Chelsea's longest serving player is Matej Delac , a 25 yr old keeper who signed in 2010 and has never played a first team game, but had 10 loan spells abroad as he can't get a work permit to play here.
  15. I don't know if someone has already asked, but will the colt teams consist of only players who can represent Scotland? Will there be anything in place to make sure they can't qualify for other nations via the grandparent rule? Do they sign a contract forgoing any other international team?
  16. Jacksgranda - off the top of my head, I think it was part of the deal for joining the league. If you were sitting in the stand, it was to the left of the terracing. The youngsters used to climb on top of it and jump off if they got bored of the game.
  17. With RAF Lossiemouth just up the road,we've always had this threat hanging over our heads. I bet they wished that they hadn't knocked down the WWII pill box that used to be in the ground
  18. Fair play for taking the time to make up the lists. Hopefully you can add TNS v Elgin City in a couple of weeks time.
  19. Genuine question. Do you think Easton will stay? He left a good Elgin team to sign for a team he thought was going to better his career.
  20. Just discovered this thread as I don't usually bother with this league, but it's interesting. Elgin City used to have a WW2 pillbox behind one of the goals, but they had to remove it once they got into the Scottish League. Couldn't find any pictures of it unfortunately. Did it's job tho as the Germans never captured Borough Briggs.
