Makes sense, we saw Airdrie with a small squad do well this year, it's not that often you play 2 games in a week so probably best to go for quality over quantity and hopefully provide some opportunities to the young players

Sums it up for me too, we all started the season knowing our budget was still half full (or empty) of Holts signings and we've seen a massive improvement on the horror shows we've been subjected to. The collapse post Dunfermline away seemed to take McGlynn by surprise and we never looked settled afterwards with changes in team selection and tactics. My biggest worry with McGlynn has been how reticent/unable he is to change our approach when things aren't going well in a game and we've seen a few teams change it up against us and get results. I definitely think it would be a mistake to get rid of him now but he absolutely needs to get this transfer window right.

So I've made a bit of a f**k up, ordered tickets for tomorrow a while back then my daughter was born and I completely lost track of everything else! I'm just realising that you need physical tickets for tomorrow, is anyone on here able to put me in touch with someone at the club to try and sort something out?

Seems a very odd proposition and likely aimed at going to the well a second (or third) time with the same people. I certainly don't think I'll be adding a second direct debit on top of FSS and the actual cost of supporting a football team like tickets, strips etc. I agree with the general consensus that they should focus these efforts through (not in addition to) the FSS.

Huge game this and I'm not particularly confident despite our excellent run of games. Thought we were lucky not to have been punished first half by Alloa from our slack passing in our own half and being a bit leggy. Hopefully McGlynn will have them up for this game as it really is vital. I'd drop Oliver for this one as I feel that, like Saturday, when teams aren't sitting in against us he isn't as effective, maybe a game for Allan or Wright. I'd also try and keep Kucheriavyi in midfield too although I'm not certain who I'd drop for him. Hopefully Telfer has one of his invisible games...

Aye after the last game i won't be back unless the game is massive promotion/relegation decider or whatever. Just simply isn't worth the trip to watch a game like that. Really hope we get at least one other player in before the weekend. I'd also start Burrell for this as i don't think FC Edinburgh FC will sit in against us and that will suit him better than Oliver.

Definitely the worst refereeing performance I've seen today. If that's true about the better refs doing VAR then it's a shambles. I reckon we deserved the win but Montrose will rightly be raging at the second goal counting.

I'd be going nuts if that decision went against Falkirk and Montrose scored. Been an interesting performance from the ref

I think that Williamson would surely be on the list for getting freed (if he's fit enough to find another club) as he's at best 2nd choice for that position and we have Yeats/McKay to cover for Rowe there if need be. I imagine Williamson is on a decent wage too so any savings we can make there would be great, again not wanting to free an injured player but if he had somewhere to go.

7 points behind at the halfway stage isn't quite last chance saloon but I'd agree we have to win on Monday. Dunfermline just look like title winners, seem to get the job done most weeks and then winning at TFS was a disaster. Can't count on other teams taking points off them. A win on Monday for us and some decent reinforcements to improve the starting 11 early January will hopefully give us some momentum

Almost did mate, almost bloody did

I said that as I got challenged, I don't work for the uni but I support you in the strike. The guy came back with "well this is our place of work, you shouldn't be going in" over and over and he was pretty indignant, he was partially blocking my way. Didn't get too heated or anything and I eventually just squeezed past and went in but I hadn't experienced this in any of the previous strikes at the uni.

Am I the c**t question here. I work for a 3rd party organisation based at a university but not having any direct involvement or connection to the uni beyond the office space. The uni staff are on strike today and are picketing outside the building. Totally support their right to strike and their reasoning behind it, hope they get what they're after, my wife works for the uni and is striking with them. I had a prearranged, in person meeting today with external collaborators who also don't work for the university so I came into the office. On my way in I got a decent amount of hassle for crossing the picket line. Didn't really have any other option but to attend the meeting as I'm generally not privy to the details of the uni strikes and the uni was open. So to the initial question, am i the c**t here?

Got to agree, didn't realise this was something we were missing but it makes a huge difference and despite being 'unofficial' it feels like it brings you closer to the club every week. Long may it continue and well done to those involved

Missed the game today but can't believe we had a player sent off for diving when we were 4 nil up, bonkers stuff. Feels like the good run is continuing and we've actually got players on the bench who can change a game.
