  1. Save a pen against Hibs at the end of last season - it was a critical game too which the 0-0 helped us finish 3rd.
  2. In 2001, Aberdeen witnessed a significant transformation as Keith Burkinshaw stepped down from the position of Executive Director of Football to assume the role of a non-executive director. Jim Cummings attempted to unseat Stewart Milne but was unsuccessful, leading to his resignation in March. Cormark also resigned in July, and Keith Wyness was appointed as the Chief Executive. It is believed that Rowson departed for Stoke City on a free transfer, and his wages were likely not excessively high. As of 2001, our debt situation was not as severe as it would become in the subsequent years. In fact, the club faced substantial losses in the following years.
  3. Always thought we would have a fixture at home the week after the Scottish Cup Final.
  4. Gigs for January: 20th January - Erland Cooper (Queen's Hall) 21st January - Hannah Peel & Beibei Wang (Drygate Brewing Company) 27th January - This is the Kit (Tramway) 28th January - Lambchop (Glasgow Royal Concert Hall New Auditorium) Would want to see a lot more with Celtic Connections during the week but not any Holidays to take with Germany 2024
  5. To me the foul was committed outside the box so it looks like the correct decision.
  6. We are so pish that we have won 3 out of the last 4 league games!
  7. Amazing when you play 4 at the back and only 1-up top. Should be our go to formation. Aberdeen should have won by more goals today, that 2nd half was pleasing and good to see Shinnie back to best but we wasn't short in midfield as normal.
  8. Who knows, I live on the hope he can turn results around even though this is unlikely as the fans have turned.
  9. Not looking forward to this match, think if Aberdeen lose a goal first then it will be toxic. We could be in 11th after this game which with the squad we have is disgraceful. Let hope we win and it may give Robson a bit more time.
  10. 2023 has been quite a rollercoaster for us Aberdeen fans. It kicked off on a low note with Jim Goodwin's departure, making way for Robson. With Hearts having a 10 point advantage, we managed to secure 8 out of 9 league wins, landing us in the 3rd spot. Our European campaign was solid, although we could have grabbed more points and contested a league cup final. Unfortunately, the new league season has been disappointing, marked by uninspiring football. The tide seems to have turned against Robson after the St Mirren match. Hoping for a brighter 2024! Happy New Year to you, Dandy Dons fans
  11. 4 defeats in 35 years and I think equal best win at Pittodrie with 1953.
  12. Barron when he has played has been miles better than Clarkson this season. The only reason I can see him not playing is because of the contract situation.
  13. Don't worry, a couple of defeats and it will be Naismith out!!
  14. Your 3rd win came in 1987. Thanks to the Aberdeen FC Heritage Trust website league stats are: Played 38 Aberdeen won 24 Drawn 12 St Mirren 3
  15. Feels like ages since Aberdeen has played! It'll be interesting to find out when was the last time we had two postponed games in a row. St Mirren is on a bit of a bad run at the moment, while Aberdeen has picked up with three wins out of four. Aberdeen needs to start putting some sort of run together, but there's uncertainty about whether we're capable of replicating what we did last season. St Mirren has a poor record at Pittodrie, with just two wins in 25 years - I hope that trend continues.
  16. Should still have called it earlier as the A90 was blocked at 2pm. Feel sorry for supporters clubs buses that have left along with fans.
  17. Quite a few Businesses in Aberdeen have told their staff to go home.
  18. If Motherwell have stayed in Aberdeen last night then they will want the game to go ahead. If not then good chance this is off with terrible conditions in the A9 and A90
