  1. Brown has been a steady enough replacement for millen but neither are particularly good. With everyone fit dick and brown are the weak points in our squad. Before Brown it was millen and dick. I'd hope we can improve upon them for next season regardless of what league we're in. I actually thought yesterday was browns best game for us so far. I would not sign him permanently though. He just isn't good enough for a team that wants to be in the premiership but is a fine stop gap for now.
  2. And tbf I really couldn't care less your opinion on the matter either. Enjoy your evening.
  3. Agreed. Nah, never a pen. Take your tangerine tinted specs off. Happened after watt etc started that but iv already called out the morons for chucking things so doesn't matter a jot what way round it happened really.
  4. Never in a million years was that a penalty. Wouldn't have changed the outcome Imo but that's awful refereeing.
  5. It's the most complete performance you've had all season and there's really not much point in pretending otherwise. It was a deserved win from the better team on the day. If you'd have played like that all season there wouldn't be a title race.
  6. Mcglynns biggest f**k up was not playing the best 'keeper we've had in my time supporting the club in that game. Before the other stuff obviously.
  7. I get the impression Murray wanted to take the game to you today and for the first 5 minutes it looked like it was working but your entire team pressed well and in numbers and completely nullified our midfield. Watts goal changed the outlook and you took control of it. I think massive credit needs to go to Goodwin for the way the game was managed from a utd perspective. I'm probably unique in that I don't think he's a bad manager though. Our starting lineup was wrong and Murray getting concussed certainly didn't help us as we had to move the defence around again (a common theme for us this season). There's a reason you're paying moult, watt etc as much as you are though and today showed it. Thought your cbs where very good and actually looked better than holt and Gallagher have in recent weeks from what iv seen. Been quite impressed with Thomson as well, looks like one that should go on to be a regular for you regardless of what league you're in next season.
  8. Scott Brown was who utd targeted from the off. They've been playing pretty much the same way for weeks where they've knocked it long and had the likes of moult and watt knocking it down for the bodies behind them. He had two or three men around him most of the game, much like... Stanton wasn't given any time on the ball at all, they where swarming all over him constantly. We lost the midfield battle largely due to utd going hunting in packs. We really needed someone like Matthews or brown in there to actually battle and drop deeper to stop the knock backs. Turner is not a player in that deeper role but he never hid and did work hard to his credit.
  9. Was it him watt was pointing out? Assuming you know him, tell him to stop being a massive fanny. No place for that shit, ever. If you don't, then hopefully he reads it. Was a nice catch by watt from what I'm guessing was a lighter from the same direction. Spoke to a few people who aren't rovers fans who where watching and they've said it wasn't a penalty and I was baffled that it was given at the time. f**k knows the rules around it now but wasn't there at one stage a double jeopardy rule? Ref was pretty horrid the whole game for both teams so not surprising he potentially fucked up twice there.
  10. Not seen what anyone else has commented yet... Better team won today. Utds game management was spot on from start to finish. Good goal for the first and whoever it was that chucked the bottle at Watt can get themselves to f**k, absolute w**k stain. Rudden unlucky off the bar and we where unlucky early on but beyond that didn't look like scoring at all. Wasn't a dirty game so f**k knows where the 12 yellows came from. f**k knows how that was a pen. From where I was sitting it just wasn't. Looking forward to seeing that again. It killed the game off but realistically we just didn't look like scoring at all. Thought our tactics and team selection where wrong today and it proved to be. League wasn't won today but if utd had played like that all season it wouldn't be as close at it is still. Enjoy your night Dab's.
  11. "Aberdeen welcome back Scott McMann as they wait on the results of Kevin Holt’s knee scan. "
  12. 6 rows at the front of a stand being empty is hardly going to stop people running on to the pitch. I don't condone it happening but that's just not an answer to stopping it happening, not that i think it will. It would also have been very easy for utd to publicly pass the blame on to police Scotland for this but for some reason haven't. My guess, is that it isn't true.
  13. The community club aspect is actually John sims love child when it comes to spp/rr. His father was a vicar within Kirkcaldy and he's openly spoken about how he views the club and community aspect of it as a way to replace what's been lost in the town with people not having the same involvement in churches etc, from a community aspect. He's put far more money in to the club and spp than he would ever even look to recoup now. He chased off a consortium, quite publicly, that where going to give him more money simply due to the fact that there where no gaurentees on the community side and he wanted to see the club thrive alongside it as a community club. So respectfully, you're opinion is absolute pish on that.
  14. If we had access to the money the English clubs to maintain pitches then there would be no need for artificial surfaces. We don't though and simply due to pitches like livis being pish and the average punter seing how good the pitches in England's top flight are on tv they seem to think it's manageable to have the same up here. I'll reiterate my earlier post in this thread. If there is quality control on the artificial pitches, then I don't see the issue with them at all. They are a source of revenue for clubs on top of building community ties. In a league setup that doesn't have alot of investment, it's important for clubs to be able to utilise every avenue available to improve the game in Scotland. As long as the pitch is of a good standard then there's no reason to have a ban on them outright.
  15. Would anyone, anywhere actually admit to that though?
  16. Anyone who looked at tonight, a game that Ian Murray and colin Cameron played in, as an indication of skill level has had a mare tbh. It was what a closed door friendly is normally like, with the added nous that it was a chance for us to show some love to oor no 10.
  17. I'll be a big enough man to admit I couldn't care less... About any of it tbh. I'd have done the same if I was in charge of all that at your club. Like iv said 3 times now...
  18. We didn't have any more tickets available to purchase at the time iirc. I'd say that is selling out.
  19. I'm in my home? Finished working around k.o time. Perks of working from home...
