Was spending a bit of time last night trying to think of all the utter horror decisions that our club has made over the past decade or so.

    1) Convincing our fans that 7th place in the SPL wasn't good enough for us and getting our fans convinced we were going for "The Next Level"

    2) Hughes throwing money away on signing his old, injury-prone pals whereas before we'd been a successful team with young, hungry players (the decision to replace Jack Ross with Jackie McNamara was particularly criminal)

    3) Giving Eddie May longer than three weeks when it was plainly obvious by September that he was hopelessly out of his depth and going to get us relegated

    4) Replacing May with Pressley

    5) Giving Pressley more time after him making a pigsty of our post-split fixtures in our last SPL season

5.5) Being told at a fans' meeting that we were financially on the verge of going bankrupt only to have our Chairman at the same meeting telling us we were still looking to pay for a fourth stand

    6) "Our Time"

    7) Giving Peter Houston longer than three weeks when it was plainly obvious by September that he was hopelessly out of his depth and going to get us relegated

    8) Allowing Hartley to sign so many untried and untested players

    9) The hot-tub

    Anything else?

It's basically a top ten of what happens when people are unable to back up their ego with a suitable level of knowledge and ability.

Sadly continuing to this day, where we have a board that are good in ideas, but shite at execution.

Utter nonsense. That’s why they are there. You are essentially saying that once a manager is appointed and given his budget, there is no way on earth to adopt a system that can stop him from making a complete mess of it and damaging a club for years to come....and even worse, you believe that’s how it should operate.

You are actually making me laugh out loud at how ludicrous that is.

The one that springs to mind is Newcastle, when they had Dennis Wise doing the job, didn't work out well. No manager will stand for being told he can't sign a player. The Director of Football is there to work with the scouts and present a list of players TO the manager. It's the manager that should be getting the final say. To do it any other way is utter madness.

I don't want to turn this into an argument off "Our team is shitter than yours", but I fucking will.

Fwiw if we're being serious for a second I don't think the points deductions are severe enough for going into administration, if you're not automatically getting relegated you should have a points total which absolutely fucks you, then a secondary points deduction the season after.

There'd be no point. We're cleat more shit. At least so far. Easy days at this point, but the only thing on the horizon at the moment are more clouds.

I'm sure there's a few countries around the world where they basically take whatever points you earn over the season away and you go down with 0. Though it's entirely possible I'm knackered and hallucinate that. Good fucking idea though.

Which of course would never have happened, Dunfermline would've went into liquidation, came back as The Dunfermline Sevco 5089, joined the lowland league and still at absolutely no point, have played Inverkeithing and Rosyth, or whatever teams you mentioned, Hth.

Are Dunfermline in a better position for having got ourselves into the position where administration was a necessity for the club to survive? Absolutely not, would've been far better to just run the club properly tbh.

However it really does get some opposition fans seething so I probably wouldn't mind a #adminmk2, banter.

So would I, if you were docked 20 points, we may just manage to finish above you.

    Maybe

It's the total lack of goals that worries me more than anything. He has the playing experience I guess, but on paper he doesn't look much better than what we have already. If we sign him, we can but hope he finds goals in him.

    Isn't he a midfielder?

I thought he was a striker, my bad. Point still stands, even though slightly modified. Another player that doesn't score isn't much kop. Hope he can pick out a slide rule pass as that's about the only way our strikers will score.

I hate being this negative but f**k, it's about all there is left.

Never seen Rodgers play but he has a good number of appearances for Swindon a couple of years back. Certainly wouldn't write him off straight away based on playing Conference South.

Ignore them. The idea of a business going into administration on that basis is fucking ludicrous. The idea of football club, and its supporters with it, being up for administration is blowing my fucking mind.

If I got a sniff that the board of Falkirk took that way out on purpose as an "easy route" I would never be across the turnstile again.

And yet, the with the exception of Gretna, who would have been screwed either way, given they had no funding left, pretty much every club has come through and survived, if not thrived. Didn't say it was easy, or right, I said it had benefitted the clubs involved.

Meaningless anyway, as we would undoubtedly f**k the paperwork up and go straight into liquidation.

Yaasss! I love it when fans come out with this shite. Brilliant stuff. Obviously massively wide of reality but still very entertaining.

Enlighten us, oh wise one as to why dumping millions in debt in exchange for a couple of hard seasons wasn't ultimately to the benefit of your club?

Yep, Connor Park is excellent. As is Koszary. They deserve better to be honest.

What's starting to worry me is how much longer they will want to hang around? I mean, imagine busting your arse to bring in revenue each season, only for your employer to pish it against a wall? Seems to me that anyone that good at their job would want to move on to a better run business. At that point, we are even more fecked than we are already.

I don’t need your insolvency practitioner. I have my own one.

Top banter would be waiting to see if Morton are awarded any compo, then call in the receivers. Take your penny in the pound and enjoy it. Looks like we are going down anyway, be as well as make it a laugh while we are at it.

Nah come on. Admin an easy way out? If, and I stress this clearly, if you're serious, you've got no idea what admin entails.

Nah, wasn't overly serious. Though with the way this season has been going, absolutely nothing this club does would surprise me in the least part.

Administration would be the easy way out of this mess. Would at least give us reason to cut some of the shite loose.

Still, there's ways the prospect of everything clicking this coming game and we turn out to be magic.

Tell me you're taking the piss.

About the second part? Aye, no chance anything is clicking.

Am i the only one thinking the administration season was a walk in the park compared to the last 2 seasons, at least everyone rallied round.   This season its like watching a train heading towards a car on the tracks.

  14. Can't be any worse than the 11 that are going to get mullered by Alloa to be frank.

ETA I seem to have inadvertently found myself a stalker. Any betting on what one of the Morton buffoons it is? Slowly going through every post I've made and red dotting them. Someone has had a proper meltdown over something.
