  1. What i didnt mention was i am worse- bought a lottery ticket and can't find it
  2. Think of all the cool things you could have bought instead of gambling. Waste of money
  3. Watched 300. Nice story, well done with the narration, and excellent graphically. 8/10
  4. Feck off baldy n beardy. It is now getting interesting RE the batteries, as someone has quite blatantly tried to forge my signature and failed miserably
  5. My new added responsibilities at work Ive recently taken over the purchasing for our lab. Since then (1.5wks) i have had to:- 1) Complain because a $111 purchase went on my card as $102 and $9. I have to back up ever "purchase" and there is nothing in the $111 that cost $9, so already have no explanation for that charge. I called to find out why they did it and was told "they do that sometimes" when i asked for further explanation i was put through to someone in accounting. I got their voicemail, and am still waiting for them to return the call 2) I made a purchase of batteries for timers from Office Depot ($10 total). Apparently they were delivered today at 12.47pm, and signed for by me. I never signed for them, no-one else in the building has (spend about an hour asking everyone) so f**k knows where they are at. I have called office depot, and it is now being investigated. I just want the batteries so there isnt 5 people fighting over the 2 working timers we have. 3) The Radioactive ligand bought doesnt work. I explained this to 3 people before getting to technical enquiries. It appears the batch is bad, so will get a new shipment sent anyway. Unfortunately i never found out until i wasted 3 days doing work. Atleast the last person was very helpfull. (with a sexy sounding voice which makes it nice). After dealing with all that today, i can now hopefully get some real work done.
  6. Personally i would like to think that it would be a similar story no matter who the parents are. However any difference in the story would be the problem of the papers, not the Mccans.
  7. So you understand what she means, yet still want to stick the boot in. Fair enough.
  8. I dont think Maddie is relevant in the fact that if she is dead, her mother would prefer to know instead of not knowing. By coming out and saying this, it is probably trying to tell the "killer" to atleast give information to the police where the body is, that way they don't have the false hope. DO you get it yet?
  9. it is not the blame. Parents of kids who die of "natural" causes (well natural as in medical reasons) also often get divorced. It seems to be easier for them to get on with their lives without the man/woman who they parented the kid with being around, as it reduces the memories. Its a sad by-product of the sad loss of life.
  10. Yes. If she is alive, and then they get her back then that obviously is the best outcome. If she is dead, then obviously she would prefer to know that instead of the false hope.
  11. Not knowing if they are alive or not is horrible. If she is dead, and they find out about it, they can get on with their lives. That is much better than not having a clue if she is dead or alive. The key word in the statement you gave that you disagreed with is Knowing. I bet she will prefer to find out she is alive and get her back.
  12. She never said she would rather they were dead than alive. She said she would rather KNOW she was dead, instead of the not knowing. Maybe you should read what she says and undestand it before putting the boot in and making yourself look thick. Typical ***.
  13. Lets report him, he will get his internet privelages taken away
  14. I think Eric Bana is one of the best "young" actors around, and i havent seen a film he has been in that i didn't enjoy. For being such a great actor, he really does take some shit parts/films. This, Bruce Almighty (both being "god") and Deep Impact to name 3. I think it is just to say he played the part of God/president. Last film i saw was the Barnyard. Kids cartoon film, but was quite funny. 6/10
  15. I assumed he meant the 80s cartoon version.
  16. For the umpteenth time, other drivers, and in particular truck drivers that are on their cell phones. Tuesday night, was driving along the right hand of a woman driving her truck. Suddenly i saw her start to weave a little, and my "imminant stupid driver" warning bells went off. I slowed down a little, just in time to be able to slam on my brakes as she cut into my lane. About a minute after, i had to change lanes anyway, and we ended up getting stuck at a red light side by side. I saw she was on her phone, but she looked at me and was going "sorry sorry", at which point i made a "phone" sign with my hand, and motioned she should put it down. Stupid bitch. Last night, driving home again, and i saw a guy in a truck sitting waiting to join the road i was on. Again, my "imminant stupid driver" warning bell went off, just as he pulled out in front of me (or atleast started to) This time it was even closer to me getting a brand new car off the moron. I really think that the amount of times this happens to me, that my car has some kind of cloaking device on it.
  17. Take that back. Watched Breach last night. True story of American FBI agent working as a spy (Hansen), and how he was caught. Some brilliant performances, especially from Chris Cooper as Hansern (although for some reason he reminded me of Peter Grant ) Edited to add:- 8/10 definitely worthwhile viewing.
  18. It may well be. There is also the chance that it is a west coast company, so an 8hr time difference.
  19. Also recently seen :- Ghost Rider. 5/10. Typical Superhero/Comic book crap. Seraphim Falls 8/10. Pierce Brosnan is a Yankee after the civil war, who is being chased through rough terrain by Liam Neeson (who is a confederate soldier "wronged" by Brosnan). Great performances from the 2 lead actors, and a really good storyline. They gave you information at the right time to understand the storyline, and had a decent ending. The Good Shephard. 7/10. Matt Damon had a good performance in the story of the birth of the CIA. It was a bit all over the place in terms of the storyline, and kept jumping back and forward unnecesarily. The one thing i couldnt get over was Damons characters mistreatment of Angelina Jolie in preferance of bland women. Oh well some men had no taste
  20. I watched The Jacket, film with Keira Knightley, Adrien Brody and Daniel Craig. It is about an ex-soldier who gets charged with Murder, is found insane, and his "treatment" is being given a drug, whilst in a straight-jacket, and put in a Morgue Locker. If you can get by the initial 30 minutes of confusement, it is actually a pretty decent film. 8/10 (a bonus 2 points for a Keira Knightley Lookalike (presumably) having sex. Also saw Saw II finally. I dont think it was as good as the original, i had figured out the twist before the end. It was still pretty decent, and i think the storyline linked to the first film very well. 8/10.
