in the process of downloading it , it better be worth the hype
I have the feeling it is going to be another Blair Witch.
Watched Beowulf last night. Was actually shocked at it at first, with the levels of nudity and violence not quite what you would expect for a PG/13 movie. The thought of a naked Anthony Hopkins is frightening. However that is more than made up by a "naked" Angelina Jolie. Pretty good story, some of the graphics for it was excellent. 6/10 overall.

Just watched Harold and Kumar get the munchies (i think that was what it was called) Very very bizarre film. Pished myself thou so job done i suppose 7/10
Its actually Harold and Kumar go to white castle. Obviously since no-one in the UK know what White castle is, they had to change the name.

Why do you like shite films with no suspense, poor acting, utter predictability and shite endings?
No, but that doesn't describe Alien. Even worse you are forgoing the other Alien films for the shite that will be AVP2.

Alien (1979)
6/10
Was sitting at a pretty okay 7 (nothing special but watchable), but the shit ending took away a point. Not going to bother with Aliens or Alien 3. Will just make do with AVP2 in a couple of weeks.
Now i know you are just taking the piss.

Rover 600 for sale here. Less than £680 (V5 papers also available). N Reg, 47000 on the clock. Mot 1 year
Is there a 1 missing in front of that mileage since it is only 680? or does it come minus parts?

Would you go on ebay and post messages to people saying "your item is not worth what you're asking"?
I wouldn't go on Ebay anyway, but he may have been trying to be helpful. If he does a lot of Ebay stuff, especially cars, he may realise you probably won't get what you want for it. Since you have it listed on Ebay it is obvious you want it sold, so he may be trying to do you a favour.
Obviously he may have been being an absolute c**t, but i like to give someone the benefit of doubt.

I'm fully aware I might not get £2000 for it - didn't you read my post?
I know you are. He may not have been aware of it, as he hasn't read your post.

Why are people such twats? Selling my car on ebay - lovely car, worth £2500 according to Parkers. I'll probably not get £2500 for it, but I'm not prepared to go any lower than £2000 so set a reserve at that price. If it doesn't sell, then I'll try something else (Autotrader, local press etc) - no big deal. I've got 27 people watching it at the moment, so it does look like people are interested, but I'm not naive enough to think it will definitely sell - everyone's looking for a bargain.
So anyway, I got a message asking how much the reserve is set at, so I thought 'be honest and tell them', which I did. I got a message back today saying "There's no way you'll get that the car's only worth £1000 as you'll see". Why do people have to be arseholes? If they're not interested, that's fine, but don't tell me that my car is worth less than half of what it is actually worth. Pratt.
What it is worth, and what it is worth on Ebay may be different however. He may just be telling you there is no way you will get 2,000 for it on Ebay.

I found a fiver in the street tonight. Should I;
a ) hand it in to the police
b ) put it in a charity tin
c ) rip it up
d ) have an extra couple of pints tonight
If you hand it in to the police, no-one is going to claim it, and you will get it back (they may even say just keep it there and then). Then you can spend it on a couple of extra pints and not have a guilty conscience.

Isn't going eight days without alcohol being an achievement somewhat worrying for someone your age?
No. Not really. She is still young enough - as is most of the other people who don't do that.
If she was in her 30s then yes it would be more of a worry.

Yeah quite
Got there, stood in line, got forms to fill out, filled em out, got to the desk and she put everything into the system.
Then she asks to see my passport - which i don't have. (lost - applying for a new one right now).
I tell her that, and she asks for other proof i can work here. I can get that from work - but why do i need it if i am only renewing the license, which i could have done on the internet if i didn't wait so long? she said she needs it and gives me an out of state change form showing me what i need. IM NOT AN OUT OF STATE RENEWAL SILLY WOMAN.
Anyway gotta go to the international office and get my visa information, and go back on monday morning. Fuckers.
Then to add to my annoyance, on the way back from paying my road tax, i get stuck behind one of the really really long trains going across a crossing, for 30 minutes.
It has already been a bad day.

Mum's in bed fast asleep and Dad's zonked on the couch. Sister is in bed (lazy coo has been there all day yesterday and today ) and I'm absolutely knacked. However, have to stay awake in order to take dogs out their last walk in around an hour.
And I'm working all day tomorrow
That is why cats are better

You appear not to be getting my point though old bean. We do speak to her if she's out in the garden, but she just ignores us. If she would at least apologise for a start then ok, fine, but she seems to have no intention of doing so.
You fix her door
you get peace
no more banging the door.

My dad's a joiner, he could fix it no probs, but, she's had enough chances. She even had the cheek to say to another neighbour "if i knew the people around here were such pains, i wouldnt have moved in" 2 faced cow.
yeah but you're not getting my point. It isn't for her you are doing it - it is for yourself.......you could even stick an old fish down the back of her radiator or something.

The noisy bitch next door. Her and her 2 brats seem hell bent on getting up a 6.30 every morning and shouting at each other. My old man had a word with her a few months ago but she's still the same. If any of us are in the back garden she wont even speak to us. She also has a problem with the back door and she seems to need to slam it about 8 times before it shuts properly.
You should go round asking if she wanted you to fix it for her, repair the "fight" between your families, and give you peace.

It's Patty and Selma, Marge's sisters. They work at the DVLA place.
Ok, makes a bit more sense now

You have never watched The Simpsons
Hardly ever, thought they were in it but no idea who they are.

? ? ?
I feel i have been whooshed (who are they?)

I never noticed the part on the renewal application that says to renew my drivers license online i have to do it 30 days in advance That means a trip to the DVLA place tomorrow before i get into work, and likely a 1hr wait I suppose i can get my car registration done to save me another late start next week.

Yup. An acting masterclass. I have never seen the original.
Either have i. It is scandanavian or something IIRC.

Rented Insomnia out just for the sake of it, it had been a while. I think it is destined to be a classic alongside the Hitchcock masterpieces of suspense. 9/10
Is that the Pacino/Williams version?

The Simpsons Movie.
Really average reminded why I dont watch the show anymore.
The whole Spider-pig thing barely raised a giggle though that might have been due to the hype.
5/10
Im not even sure i would give it a 5. That may be unfair as i aint a simpsons fan anyway, but it was shite. I also fell asleep during the film - it was that bad.
3/10
Casino Royale was the best bond film in twenty five years. I watched Octopussy last week and to me that sums up the quality of Bond, a truly shite film but checks all the Bond Films fans boxes. Daniel Craig I believe is signed to do three Bond films, with the second currently being made now.I agree with that. I didn't think it would be that good a film, but i thought it was far better than the "gadgets" laden bond films of the past.
Also watched the following over the holiday period:-
Transformers - still 10/10.
Bourne Ultimatum - was great seeing Waterloo thinking there is a really cool bar just behind him there An excellent part of the story. Same idea as the rest, and ties up the movie nicely if they want to finish at that point. With the ending they may also be able to continue to a new Bourne movie. 9/10
Pirates of the Carribean - 7/10. I thought it was better than the 2nd film. Johnny Depp was excellent in it again - and anything with Keira Knightly gets extra points
Live free or Die Hard - 10/10 - i think this may be the first ever film series to go to a 4th film and all be brilliant films. Obviously some of it is far fetched, but thats what makes it brilliant. After watching this i went and got the first 3 movies box set so i now have all 4

for the last 6 months, ive been saying i wanted to get my niece and nephew pop up pirate for christmas. We never got round to buying it, and lo and behold there seems to have been a recall or something, and there is no pop-up pirate to be bought anywhere in the US. Fuckers

Yeah, but it still doesn't alter the intial "shock". If that was non-cgi it would have been an 18 id guess.
