  1. Second year in a row my energy supplier has informed me of a DD raise based on them over-estimating my gas usage be a factor of two or three. I've been with them for years and my usage is entirely consistent for all the time I've been with them. I complained last year and they cancelled the raise, so I'm on to their CS again. Really no excuse for this nonsense when my usage is practically identical down to the last kw/h for years on end. It's one of the bunch who were officially warned for imposing artificially large DD's. Arseholes
  2. What a performance from Herbie last night. Clownshoes OL that gives him zero protection, and they can't run the ball at all, so he just goes Superman mode and destroys the Dolphins pass defense anyway. Oh, and Tua looked like absolute shite, which is a wee shame.
  3. I'll finally put my hand in my pocket when they unveil the Maros Klimpl tribute fourth kit.
  4. I'm another who counts items in and out of the washing machine.
  5. Yeah, that's been on the cards for a while because of Tatis' health, but I'm more curious about what they do with Kim after he played Gold Glove level SS last season. They have an obvious hole at 1st base, so there's a lot of speculation they'll shift Cronenworth over there and ask Kim to play 2nd.
  6. Fairly certain she or her husband own a home in Honduras, but I read someone on Twitter saying they apparently flew out there on a private flight this morning.
  7. She's seemingly fucked off to Honduras again, which, conveniently, has no extradition treaty with the UK.
  8. Chargers have the Fish and the Titans at SoFi the next two weeks. Realistically 1-1 would still see them in contention for the 7th seed provided they win out, but 0-2 pretty much ends the season. It looks like they are going to be missing a whole new group of starters for Sunday on top of the load already out, so it will likely be yet another clownshoes performance with Herbert running for his life as soon as its snapped. I'm teetering on the brink of actively hoping for a tank to improve the chances of Staley being binned and the draft slot, but I also think that would be pointless as the idiot ownership will still give him an injury pass regardless. In any case, there's every chance LAC goes 0-2 over the next two weeks, which would put them on a 1-6 seven game skid. No coach should survive that, and especially not one who calls a Defense that is bottom or near bottom of tbe NFL in most categories and has given up 26-27 ppg across 30+ games.
  9. Personally i thought Blackford was a disappointment. Too waffly and far too often just looked like a 'bitter jock' stereotype. Far preferred the calm, forensic style of Angus Robertson and Salmond's unending knack for creating GIRFUY seethe. Looking forward to see how the new guard get on.
  10. Decent of FIFA to schedule the World Cup around this.
  11. I developed mild OCD when I was really depressed about 10-15 years ago. Mine mostly revolved around housework and tidiness, and although I've almost completely recovered from it there is still some residual hangover in terms of habits and things I can/can not tolerate. At it's worst, I'd vacuum the entire flat, put the vacuum cleaner away, then notice a speck of dust or something in the middle of the floor, and have to get the vacuum out again and re-do the entire thing. I was also on constant bin patrol and used to tear into the missus for putting glass jars in the waste bin rather than recycling etc. I'm not debilitated by it any more, but there are still times it rears it's head. I'm obsessive about locking my front door. I know it's a thing that most people will be careful with, but when I leave my home there's a routine I do so that I can 'imprint' a clear, distinct memory of physically locking the door, otherwise I obsess constantly about whether I did actually lock it or not. There are times I've had to turn around or go home to check it because I've been so distracted by the thought that I haven't. I'm still a bit of a tyrant around the house, but I think this stems from the fact that I associate falling standards of cleanliness and tidiness with being ill. My psychology is such that I fear that if I don't stay on top of things then it'll lead to me becoming really ill again, even though rationally I know that's arse about face and the slovenliness is a symptom of illness and not the cause. There's nothing rational about OCD though, so I try not to spend too much time thinking about it. It is a big part of the reason why I will never consider living with another person again though. It's a nightmare for them having me tearing around getting more and more wound up, but it also drives me to distraction living with what I perceive as absolute chaos even though it's just the typical amount of mess created by every day living. Part of that is down to autism, part of it the OCD. I live in a completely minimalist way because things like ornaments, sentimental souvenirs, photos, and wall art are meaningless for me and I just see them as pointless clutter that makes it more difficult to keep the place clean and tidy, but I realise they are normal for most folk and it would be unfair for me to expect someone else to live by my rules while sharing their home with me. It would make me ill and unhappy though, so it's a no go.
  12. Michele Mone to take 'leave of absence' from place she never bothers her arse to attend in any case.
  13. I'm 80% sure Staley will get an injury pass because the Spanos family have shown after sitting through 4 years of Mike McCoy and 4 years of Anthony Lynn that they can't accept they've made an error and get rid of an obviously inadequate coach. At the very least, the Chargers need to replace Joe Lombardi, find some genuine deep threat at WR, and Staley needs to completely move on from his totally ineffective D scheme, but that's not going to happen as he's made it clear over and over that he's totally wedded to the concept regardless of how completely calamitous it is in practice. Injuries have undoubtedly robbed this team of a few wins, but they don't mask the straight-up shitty coaching jobs that have cost them even more. 'Defensive Guru' Brandon Staley's D - This isn't some sort of injury-induced crisis, because it was exactly the same story last season with a totally different, and completely healthy group of players. It's not talent, it's a completely bullshit concept that just doesn't work. They also give up 3rd down conversions at a completely ridiculous rate, so it's not as if his 'sacrifice run D to protect against the pass' mantra is even working on the field. To put it in context, the Cardinals have the league's 31st 3rd Down D, allowing something like 31% conversion rate. The Chargers are 32nd, allowing 46%. It's cataclysmically poor, not just a shade off where it should be. This season has been yet more of what Chargers fans had to sit through over the last 7-8 years of Philip Rivers' career as a Charger. They are completely wasting an upper tier QB, and if they had a league average starter under C they'd likely be a 2-3 win team. It really is that pathetic. I still can't fathom how you go into a game with a Practice Squad level OL that you know can't protect your QB, against a team that is starting a guy at DT that you cut because he is a complete liability v's the run, and then you drop your QB back 56 times, ignore the running game, ignore playaction, and don't bother running the ball at the guy who was routinely abused by every opponent you played since the day he was drafted. It's criminally incompetent.
  14. Aye, wait umtil you are two scores down in the 4th quarter and then start hamding it off on 1st down. Just comically bad coaching. They can't let Tom Telesco hang around for yet another coaching change and blown draft.
  15. Killing myself laughing at how utterly inept this Chargers staff are. All the hallmarks of a coaching team that are completely out of their depth. Getting mugged on the 1st down after a turnover, and the usual massive 3rd quarter regression. They cut Jerry Tillery for spending 3 seasons playing the run like he's on rollerskates, the Raiders start him at DT, and what does this fucking farce of a staff do? Run the ball straight at him and exploit him like every single opponent has since the day he was drafted? Naw... drop Herbert back behind a PS OL and get him killed. Absolute rank incompetence. Injuries dont excuse straight up shitty coaching
  16. It's admirable that England are trying to force the pace and give themselves a chance of a win, but they're also playing Pakistan back into the match. As soon as Pak got close to the England 1st inning total they put themselves in the driving seat. This will look great if England manage to roll them and seal the win, but they're going to look like complete morons if Pak knock the runs off.
  17. No Mike Williams, Corey Linsley, or Trey Pipkins, so it'll be the comedy version of the Chargers O in Vegas on Sunday.
  18. Sad the 2023 calendar had been reduced to only 700'odd races
  19. looking forward to the South Park episode already
  20. Classic England would be 550 all out, restrict Pakistan to 300'odd, get skittled for 80 in their 2nd outing, and Pakistan to knock off the runs inside 4 days
